I think eradicator mark 2 is better designed than you give it credit for. His strongest and most frequent attack, the missiles, can be baited, whereas the miniguns serve to counter baits by being an effective spam-wiper. The flamethrower, while being by far his most devastating attack, has a short range and a lot of time to sell your tower due to it being damage over time rather than instantaneous. With solo mark 2 (at least without warship or railgunner) its a constant boxing match in which you are desperately trying to maintain your advantage over mk2, while not running out of money and chipping him down fast enough so he doesn't heal back. I recently had a game where I used snipers, missile troopers, johns and war factories to bring down mark 2, and after a long, grueling time of maintaining some defense to catch him, using john axes and spamming baits, I beat him less than 5 studs away from the helicopter in oil rig. It was immeasurably gratifying, as up to that point I had strategized in my head how I would take him out, using high level snipers on strong for some early damage before transitioning into john axes and rages. However, if unprepared, I can also see how mk 2 could be seen as unfun or unfair to a lot of new players.
can i also say that you give exo santa more credit than is due. In ots normal variant, exo santa literally just incentivizes spamming cheaper towers, as the standard christmas mode is balanced in a way where stuff scales VERY quickly, and investing in a singular strong tower doesn't mean anything because itll get hard targetted. His minigun attack is also PITIFUL, sometimes even failing to kill the base level johns i placed as baits. The summon is also way too strong and becomes his only impactful attack, with the elf guard being a real nuisance. ON THE OTHER HAND, nightmare exo santa challenges the player in a very unique way, only ever done by plague doctor before him. That is moving defense. To begin with, its a quick race to get him as low as possible. The new summon attack is far better, as instead of just being overpowered, it now challenges the player with a small stash of FAST enemies that get thrown MUCH further along the path. This adds better variety, as something like railgunner set to strongest will be poor for this summon, but a juggernaut can take it out just fine. Then, as you are about to win, JUST as exo santa is about to escape the primary area of your towers, a multiplier x rushes down the path, meaning you have to do it AGAIN. On top of this, you've now got 2 exo santas running rampant with your defense. Using targetting to kill the original one is a very good tactic, but in order to catch this second one a lot of defense movement will usually take place. On top of this, the bosses now draw DANGEROUSLY close to the end of the map and their present throw summons become a lot more terrifying. Although i personally prefer the micro-heavy eradicators, this is a solid alternate challenge that puts to the test strategy and definitely tends to be far more of a spectacle, with the music perfectly timing with the cloning of exo santa (or at least it did before the multiplier x speed buff)
This editing was too funny And yes i do agree they made the tdx bosses to be badass Very nice indeed, and also keeping in mind that nightmare mode is going to have some more bosses and minibosses They do be cooking the nighrmare mode
Not only Eradicator MK2 phcks your towers and tanks a crap load of damage with 280k hp, he also heals time to time and gets stealthed for a few seconds after healing 💀
Well there is one mistake you made: You can still win despite not killing Eradicator Mk2 as fast as possible. How? The answer is... *drumroll* Ri- I mean Mine Layer!
Correction : Exo Santa Has 420k hp not 580k
you can see bg footage he realised that
