      The daughter saying to her Mom: "I THINK we're being pulled over." "I din't THINK it's a cop car." EXACTLY, What the hell are people expected to actually do, and how fast do they need to act, in a situation like that? And I bet if they pulled over right away, the cops would have called that "suspicious", and they'd have arrested them for suspicion of.... whatever they could come up with later.

Meaning, they get paid for their out of pocket expenses and representation fees out of the settlement awarded to the case. They take either 33.3 % or 41% if the case is settled out of court. Its the same as a personal injury attorney's that represent the plaintiffs (party not at fault) for injury's and pain and suffering from a car accident. With contingency fee agreements the client doesn't have to pay anything up front and, like I said the attorney receives payment out of the settlement he gets for his client. Therefore, they dont need a go fund me for attorney representation but maybe for other things they need financial help, and its always a thoughtful gesture.

It will play a role in the figure awarded for the LE civil right violations. Plus, with what a civil rights attorney already covered in a video of the severity details of this case, more than likely, they will be awarded a hefty sum for what they went through. Although it will never be enough to prevent these type of police brutality and violations until either the money comes out of their own pocket, from their pension (and not the tax payers) and or they end qualified immunity and they can be held legally accountable for their actions. • @DowJonesDave
      @DowJonesDave 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Example: "Your honor, the cops all turned their cameras off at the same time. This implies conspiratorial conciousness of guilt. Or at the very least, tampering with evidence to obstruct justice by said tampering. Turning off the cameras deprives the state and defendant of evidence that may have been recorded, and is tantamount to deleting evidentiary footage. In fact there is no difference between ending a recording and deleting recorded footage. There is also the matter of who owns the recordings. Destruction of state property is a crime. Purposely suppressing evidence is also an offense, unless it was suppressed by a sitting judge. Turning body cams off suppresses evidence."
      I would add an argument that the courts must make a decision regarding deleting footage, or purposely (willfully) de-activating said cameras while discussing the case. New (in the sense of the law) technology requires updating existing law to bring it up to date.
