Nirvana was heavily influence by Noise Rock/Alternative on their 1st album Bleach. Kurt & Krist were mainly listening to bands like The U-Men, Scratch Acid, Big Black, Flipper, Butthole Surfers, Sonic Youth, Skin Yard, Killdozer, Fang, The Boredems, Coffin Break, Shellac, The Jesus Lizard.
Noise rock is what my grandma calls any hard rock and metal band from the 80’s on. I hope she never listens to Kerosene by Big Black she might spontaneously combust.

Yeah this video is the one I went in with the least amount of knowledge in, this isn’t a genre I listen to much, but people kept asking for it, so I felt the need to do it, I was shitting myself trying to make it accurate and get as many of the big bands and stuff in it, i know making a video like this makes me seem like “the worlds noisiest rock fan” but on god I barely knew anything going into this so I had to learn a ton of shit, sorry to disappoint the noise rock community, will do better next time I swear

Oh yeah for sure, I completely missed Dino jr in this video and my shoegaze one, Dino jr I could literally throw in any video and they most def have something to do with the modern version of that genre, but for sure I’ll listen to lightning bolt and hell I’ll listen to YLOAM by Dino again too for good measure
