@@buttermonkey33 I have both venus and mars in cancer. I can definitely see myself retreating after sharing stories from my childhood. For me personally, it's about feeling ashamed, guilty, a burden to others. It's extremely difficult to open up and trust. Try to reassure him that it's ok that he opened up, that you'll be there for him and support him emotionally. Don't put any kind of pressure on him, he's softer inside that what he looks like on the outside.

Do you think there’s any validity to Vedic astrology?
DEFINITELY! I've recently been exploring it, and while I don't necessarily connect with the sidereal zodiac, I do absolutely believe and see the validity of the Vedic system altogether. I might turn into one of those Vedic astrologers who uses the Tropical zodiac. It's a thing! (But, as an aside, I do find that the most important features of my Tropical chart are repeated in my Sidereal. Like, my Mars Square Neptune becomes Mars in Pisces. And I feel that.)
