Eurovision if Each Country was Only Allowed to Win Once but it Resets Each Time Everyone Already Won

- Mistakes:
In 2003, Austria was 6th, not 1st.
In 1975 Malta was 12th, not 13th.
Inspired by • Eurovision if Each Cou... from@clarinetmoonesc and the pinned comment beneath it.
Like the original, it takes the highest ranking country that hasn't already appeared, but instead of skipping years when every participant has already appeared before, it resets and ignores all previous years.
As a result, in addition to Andorra, Slovakia, and Serbia & Montenegro, Morocco and Montenegro also do not make an appearance in this video.
Interestingly, all three of Switzerland's wins made it into this video. - บันเทิง
So in this system, Switzerland is the only country to keep all of its wins
Indeed. They timed those wins well.
Portugal also kept all its wins
@@anotherdelta and serbia
@@owen42321 all their win 😂
And Belgium i think
San Marino and Norway both coming dead last but it was right before a reset so they still won
Yep, that's another surprise I got. It's not even like they never had better performances before. There was just always someone better in those years.
@@ToomasTennisberg Had 2024 spoiled for me because of that I knew a San Marino result had to be somewhere. Of course those poor guys can only win by default with 0 points. Was kinda expecting Say Na Na Na but I should've known better it got 19th.
nice to see that Poland and Romania would actually win for once
As do most countries :)
Wow interesting how it resets again this year! Thanks for making this
Wow, I didn't realize mentioning someone in the description summons them! Good to know.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Personally, my biggest surprise as just how long it took Portugal to score a win on the second run.
I love how between 2022 and 2023 we jumped from the song that came 7th with a 2nd place televote score to the song that came dead last in the whole contest with 0 points
Yeah, usually there's a country that hasn't won that does well. 2023 though, nope!
Switzerland always wins after the reset
They time it well!
Slovakia crying in a corner being the only winless country
Not the only one. Andorra, Montenegro and Morocco are all countries that participated without ever winning in this system.
@@ToomasTennisberg also Serbia&Montenegro failed to win
@@Komancz609 Even though they were the best countries in terms of average ranking 😂
You forgot about Serbia and Montenegro in 2004-2005. They got good results in these years
Indeed, they got good places. However, both Ukraine in 2004 and Romania in 2005 did better so Serbia and Montenegro did not make the list.
So you made this list to make dinkle a winner?
Who's dinkle?
Resets: 1977, 2024
that's actually it
Indeed. A lot of new countries since 1977.
8:24 Why Austria is on first place?
Because I'm an idiot and didn't notice the number was clearly off there. They actually got 6th place
In 1975, Malta finished 12th, not 13th.
You're right! Turns out I can't trust myself to copy numbers correctly.
@@ToomasTennisberg And Austria 2003 was 6th not 1st
But anyway, Amazing video and Amazing concept
@@vavah2071 Thanks for the praise despite that frankly horrendous error!
@@ToomasTennisberg don't worry, it Can happens to everybody
Anyway, happy that my country (France) won twice
But, if you update it next year, a good add would be to put a ranking of the countries with the most win (so, here, Switzerland have the most with 3 wins and Andorra, Morocco, Montenegro, Serbia & Montenegro & Slovakia the least with 0 wins) (if you see what I mean)
@@vavah2071 I see. That might be interesting. Though with this system "wins" are more a function of how long a country has been participating than anything else. I'll keep it in mind though if I ever do update this.
this is a curse
Austria won in 2003 lmao
Yep I'm an idiot and didn't notice that was clearly wrong
Imagine getting zero points in your semifinal and winning 😅 that's a record on its own! 🇸🇲
So true!
