It was an absolute honor to portray Alisha in this. Hearing her story made this shoot so personal and emotional. I’m incredibly grateful to have been a part of it.
What is her story? I wish I knew about her. The video was hauntingly beautiful. I felt the pain of loss. Before I knew it was about a real person, I KNEW it was about a real person because the emotion in the video was coming from such a place of truth. And before long, you join the artist in mourning.
Me and my dad always listened to this album in the car and have concerts in the driveway. Now I sing this to him in heaven. He passed 6 weeks after his pancreatic cancer diagnosis last April. He's my guardian angel now but I'm a fucking wreck without him here ❤
I’ve loved this song for a long time. My Dad cried listening to this song. Then out of nowhere he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Nov 2022. We lost him 3 weeks later. I wonder if I’ll ever not be a wreck. Sending love.

My wife died Friday after her second battle with cancer, and only 32. She suffered tremendously. She's at peace and has no suffering, but i truly am lost. Dont see a way forward. We bury her on Thursday. Lord, give me strength to make it through the ceremony. This song found me at the right time. Just wow.

I'm sorry for your loss, and I just wanted to tell you something, and I'm speaking from personal experience,,,,, TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS, I can understand that you are angry, and I was too,,,, I would get drunk and would scream up at the sky,,,, yelling and cursing at God, I blamed myself, I blamed God, but as time passed, I learned to live with the fact that they're gone, ( lost 2 wives, one was killed and postmortem raped, while I was at work ,,,,, and COVID-19 did my second wife in, she died in our bed in my arms,) so what I'm really trying to say is that I understand your anger, and by all means vent it out,,,,, because right now at this stage is the only thing that will make you feel someone better,,,, but like I said,,, only time will help. I really hope that do you find my words somewhat useful..

I know the feeling. My soulmate, my star, my conscience, my wife died in my arms last year. To this day I still wish I could wake up out of this nightmare. I have been a wreak ever since that day. It's songs like this that say the words that are so hard for me to say. Thank you guys.

I saw this song a few days after I lost my 20-year-old brother. The lyrics of this song match my feelings so much. I think this song will accompany me in my pain for the rest of my life.

Those lyrics hit so close to home for me bc it makes me think about how when I was little my mom used to leave for weeks at a time after saying she'd be gone for only a few days and I used to wait on a chair at the window for hours to the point where I'd sleep there and I remember often watching the rain trickle on the window getting scared by the thunder but having no one to cheer me. A bit late posting to this, but it came up as TH-cam was randomly playing things for me. I've listened to it multiple times be it on here, the radio, or spotify. I just wanted to take a moment to write out how it has affected and helped me during a very difficult process. When I first heard it, 2 years ago, my grandfather had just passed away. The man, for all intent and purpose, that was my father figure for majority of my life. Every time I hear this song, like now, I can't help but take a moment to remember him. To grieve him. I allow myself a few minutes to do that while listening to this song whenever it comes up. Grieving is never over. Thank you ID. I understand everything you’ve gone through. The loss of a grandparent messes you up. It’s like you haven’t been alive long enough to fully know them, but you still love them with your entire heart and soul. For me personally I’ve lost many family members that I cared for deeply. My great grandfather died a few years ago, and my grandad died just a year ago, and I still can still remember our memories like it was yesterday. Sorry for trauma dumping, and I’ve sorry to hear this happened to you. Just stay strong and tough through it; I know you can.

My step-dad introduced me to Imagine Dragons when him and my mom were dating. I’ve been listening to songs by them ever since. Imagine Dragons always nails it with every song. Mostly (in my opinion) because a lot of them are relatable and about life challenges. When you can connect with someone/something, you feel better about yourself.

This song and music video are such a heartbreaking depiction of the grief we feel when we’re the ones left behind, while those we love cross over. I lost my 17 year old son to suicide in 2015. The pain still comes in waves. Sometimes I don’t recognize myself. In these moments, I have to accept the wreckage I’m standing in and know that better days will come. Thank you, Imagine Dragons, for once again, touching my heart with your music.

I am so so sorry. Its really tough for the young ones these days. Im 34, and have three boys all under 10. I worry so bad for them, knowing how hard I've had it, how others have it, its terrifying if you really think about it. My heart hurts for you and your son. This is a hard place for souls to learn. As long as he is in your heart he's not gone, I think people go, not to hurt anyone, but bc they hurt so very badly themselves. There's no real safe place for someone struggling, unless you're lucky to have someone who knows you that deeply. we need to be better to each other, everyone, no matter what.

🥺😢 This is the end of the story of my beautiful wife and i, she died in 2019 drowned in the beach, i can't understand how is possible imagine dragons put all this situations on the video because is exactly how i see every day, all this moments are the same in my life, i think i see it among the people, moments that i am living every day since she went to heaven leaving my little son and me, i'll collapsed in tears and impotence with this i'll see you again my loved one, sometimes i think sit on the shore of the beach but i don't have the courage, i give everything to see her again by my side one more time.

This song hits hard as I Lost my 4 year old son to brain cancer. During his daily radiation treatments Before they would sedate him, he would play Thunder and Believer as he sang to every word. He would dance his way down the hall to the sedation room as he would sing loud for everyone to hear. He Loved Music but most of all He Loved Imagine Dragons so much! He fought so hard. My soul is shattered without his light in my life. The Waves of grief are so strong some days. 💔😖

I'm an only child. Lost my best friend when I was 17. Lost my father when I was 26. Now I'm 30, and my mom has stage 4 breast cancer. Don't know if there's a word in the dictionary to describe what I am, but wrecked doesn't even begin to do it justice. I'm just so tired that it's numbness all around.
I lost someone very close to me in 2019 it caused massive depression my marriage ended I became a raging alcoholic drinking a 5th or more daily at 9 in the morning it didn’t matter I just didn’t want to feel reality anymore. Then August 25th 2023 I found my brother dead laying on the floor. I just want you to know you’re not alone. I don’t have words to fix your pain but I feel your hurt in my heart. Don't give up on life. You'll come to regret it and regret the time you lost while doing it. Live the way they would have wanted you to live. Start a family. Don't just start one with anyone though be choosy. Find your soulmate. Get married. Have kids. If you can't have kids adopt kids. I'm a Christian so I can't not mention the power of Christ and the Bible and how much it's helped me. Always considered myself a Christian but was a very laxed Christian and knew nothing of the Bible just the basics. But when I started diving deeper and figuring out the different meanings of the stories and the teachings my life started to turn around well at least my mental health and My vision for the future turned around tremendously.
Why does everyone who claims to be a fan of a particular band always claim that a band has changed in a negative way we all evolve and bands evolve ebb and flow up and downs. Alisha Reynolds, Dan's Sister-in-law died from Cancer, on a interview he say she was a light in the darkness, bringing joy everywhere she goes and every person she cross by, in my personal experiences I have lost 3 love ones against Cancer, leaving a void in my heart, first was one of my paternal uncles, second my elder brother and third my maternal uncle, others died from either Parkinson (Paternal Uncle), Covid-19 (My grandmother) and a rare illness (Another paternal uncle), this was one by one on a short lapse of time, leaving me with no chance of mourn those lost!! so I feel sorry for Dan, Cancer is a hell of a Sickness!!! Edit: Also, Love how he is going to the microphone to sing with the band but, he is so sad that he just can't sing and go away to clear his mind going to the beach to get the acceptance that she is not around, just those memories he has of her!!!

I lost my mother to cancer Dec 2020, and my father 4 months later to a broken heart. This song, I can't even describe how hard it hits me. It was just a few days after their Celebration of Life that I first heard it. It says it all. Every hurt I felt and still feel. Straight to the heart.

My wife died Friday after her second battle with cancer, and only 32. She suffered tremendously. She's at peace and has no suffering, but i truly am lost. Dont see a way forward. We bury her on Thursday. Lord, give me strength to make it through the ceremony. This song found me at the right time. Just wow.

Those lyrics hit so close to home for me bc it makes me think about how when I was little my mom used to leave for weeks at a time after saying she'd be gone for only a few days and I used to wait on a chair at the window for hours to the point where I'd sleep there and I remember often watching the rain trickle on the window getting scared by the thunder but having no one to cheer me.

A bit late posting to this, but it came up as TH-cam was randomly playing things for me. I've listened to it multiple times be it on here, the radio, or spotify. I just wanted to take a moment to write out how it has affected and helped me during a very difficult process.
When I first heard it, 2 years ago, my grandfather had just passed away. The man, for all intent and purpose, that was my father figure for majority of my life. Every time I hear this song, like now, I can't help but take a moment to remember him. To grieve him. I allow myself a few minutes to do that while listening to this song whenever it comes up. Grieving is never over.

I understand everything you’ve gone through. The loss of a grandparent messes you up. It’s like you haven’t been alive long enough to fully know them, but you still love them with your entire heart and soul. For me personally I’ve lost many family members that I cared for deeply. My great grandfather died a few years ago, and my grandad died just a year ago, and I still can still remember our memories like it was yesterday. Sorry for trauma dumping, and I’ve sorry to hear this happened to you. Just stay strong and tough through it; I know you can.

My step-dad introduced me to Imagine Dragons when him and my mom were dating. I’ve been listening to songs by them ever since. Imagine Dragons always nails it with every song. Mostly (in my opinion) because a lot of them are relatable and about life challenges. When you can connect with someone/something, you feel better about yourself.

The pain still comes in waves. Sometimes I don’t recognize myself. In these moments, I have to accept the wreckage I’m standing in and know that better days will come. I am so so sorry. Its really tough for the young ones these days. Im 34, and have three boys all under 10. I worry so bad for them, knowing how hard I've had it, how others have it, its terrifying if you really think about it. My heart hurts for you and your son. This is a hard place for souls to learn. As long as he is in your heart he's not gone, I think people go, not to hurt anyone, but bc they hurt so very badly themselves. There's no real safe place for someone struggling, unless you're lucky to have someone who knows you that deeply. we need to be better to each other, everyone, no matter what.

🥺😢 This is the end of the story of my beautiful wife and i, she died in 2019 drowned in the beach, i can't understand how is possible imagine dragons put all this situations on the video because is exactly how i see every day, all this moments are the same in my life, i think i see it among the people, moments that i am living every day since she went to heaven leaving my little son and me, i'll collapsed in tears and impotence with this i'll see you again my loved one, sometimes i think sit on the shore of the beach but i don't have the courage, i give everything to see her again by my side one more time.

This song hits hard as I Lost my 4 year old son to brain cancer. During his daily radiation treatments Before they would sedate him, he would play Thunder and Believer as he sang to every word. He would dance his way down the hall to the sedation room as he would sing loud for everyone to hear. He Loved Music but most of all He Loved Imagine Dragons so much! He fought so hard. My soul is shattered without his light in my life. The Waves of grief are so strong some days. 💔😖

I'm an only child. Lost my best friend when I was 17. Lost my father when I was 26. Now I'm 30, and my mom has stage 4 breast cancer. Don't know if there's a word in the dictionary to describe what I am, but wrecked doesn't even begin to do it justice. I'm just so tired that it's numbness all around.
I lost someone very close to me in 2019 it caused massive depression my marriage ended I became a raging alcoholic drinking a 5th or more daily at 9 in the morning it didn’t matter I just didn’t want to feel reality anymore. Then August 25th 2023 I found my brother dead laying on the floor. I just want you to know you’re not alone. I don’t have words to fix your pain but I feel your hurt in my heart. Don't just start one with anyone though be choosy. Find your soulmate. Get married. Have kids. If you can't have kids adopt kids. I'm a Christian so I can't not mention the power of Christ and the Bible and how much it's helped me. Always considered myself a Christian but was a very laxed Christian and knew nothing of the Bible just the basics. But when I started diving deeper and figuring out the different meanings of the stories and the teachings my life started to turn around well at least my mental health and My vision for the future turned around tremendously.

Alisha Reynolds, Dan's Sister-in-law died from Cancer, on a interview he say she was a light in the darkness, bringing joy everywhere she goes and every person she cross by, in my personal experiences I have lost 3 love ones against Cancer, leaving a void in my heart, first was one of my paternal uncles, second my elder brother and third my maternal uncle, others died from either Parkinson (Paternal Uncle), Covid-19 (My grandmother) and a rare illness (Another paternal uncle), this was one by one on a short lapse of time, leaving me with no chance of mourn those lost!! so I feel sorry for Dan, Cancer is a hell of a Sickness!!!
Edit: Also, Love how he is going to the microphone to sing with the band but, he is so sad that he just can't sing and go away to clear his mind going to the beach to get the acceptance that she is not around, just those memories he has of her!!!

My mother recently passed away due to cancer not too long ago at just 46 years old. Now I have more of a reason to listen to this song over and over again.
I lost my mother to cancer Dec 2020, and my father 4 months later to a broken heart. This song, I can't even describe how hard it hits me. It was just a few days after their Celebration of Life that I first heard it. It says it all. Every hurt I felt and still feel. Straight to the heart.
