20151009: MSGT James' Retirement Ceremony in 4th Batallion's courtyard. PLT 4039 Oscar Company Senior Drill Instructor Sgt Rodriguez Marched by Drill Instructor Sgt May Video cred: Drill Instructor Sgt GarciaGreen
AHHHHH THIS IS MY SENIOR DRILL INSTRUCTOR'S CADENCE. I didnt want to forget it so i searched everywhere for this. She was promoted to staff sergeant and made our senior drill instructor. Then she became a chief drill instructor in the middle of our cycle. She is retired now but im glad i had the honor of having her as a drill instructor
I think it's a honor to be a Drills final cycle before they leave the trail. We were my Senior Drills last cycle. He smoked my platoon one last time graduation day and told us he was glad to be going back to his Special Forces detatchment to kill bad guys lol. Drill Sergeant Serauscus...toughest man I've ever met. That was 20 yrs ago. I appreciate him to this day for kicking my ass and making a man out of me.
This has to be the best cadence, bar none; ever. the cadence crosses all military branches and ranks light years above any other I've heard....or called.
@@Styxorcist he's close, but mind not changed. May had him beat. I'm quite familiar with mutant mike, and he's badass beyond the core, but mind not changed. May handed Mutant Mike his cadence calling ass.
I remember when she came into the classroom one day when my platoon was trying our hardest to get the hell out of there. It only took her to say, "Oh y'all must want to stay in here with me" for all of us to take flight out that room in .5 seconds. She's like 6 feet tall and I really do admire her.
From a serving police officer in England I discovered this on you tube. Absolutely beautiful. I must have watched it 60 times at least.well done SSGT May
So I'm an Army Veteran...after viewing this I wouldn't mind becoming a Marine right now...okay I'm just kidding but I do have goosebumps! I'm so proud and honored. Congratulations!!!!
She was one of my drill instructor before she picked up this platoon. Definitely one of the best Drill Instructors down at Parris Island very dedicated and motivated Sgt! Oorah and Semper Fidelis to Sgt May. I still remember this day, we were in the chow line and every time we heard this my whole platoon would be silent.
Upon hearing her, we know there is something special coming. To see the troops march by made me feel proud. The quintessential moment is to see her tower over the troops. It says to me 'Listen, I will get you through this'. She has power and belief of leadership. I respect that.
I am a U.S. Navy Veteran and I have worked, toured, and hit the beach with U.S. Marines half of my career. To hear them render honor as they marched means one thing to me. My respect you will always have.
Amazing cadence Sgt May it wasn't long ago when I graduated from San Diego but few drill instructors had cadences like this It's cool to see videos from Oscar company my girlfriend is graduating from this company dec 18 Thank all of you for the change of a lifetime
Just chilling! The Sgt. makes me want to renig on my commissioning next month and request orders down to PI! Haha! This is very nice cadence. I haven't heard many that sound anything like this at all.
Es un grupos de mujeres marine que con esa voz melodiosa y una canción emblemática de los marine se escucha y se ven contundentes, esta es la representación de un grupo de mujeres valientes que trabajan por su país, saludos desde Medellín
That is the best cadence i have ever heard.....I'm a Marine....and i have heard some good shit....but that is very motivating....ooohhh rahhh....hard charger!!!!!!
I remember Drill Instructor Sergeant May! When I was getting ELS'd back in 2016 she was one of the few I saw while in RSP. Can't remember if she was a part of RSP ot recieving at the time.
Just finding this after hearing different marines at Fort Lee while I was at AIT & hearing the females sing cadence was so much different than males in a good way, but hearing this is pure gold! Wish it was longer than 1:44 (for the longest video I’ve found)
I’m an old, Hollywood Marine. Graduated the Depot in ‘97. Never had the opportunity to see or hear female Marine DI’s. It’s not the classic, old school cadence I was trained with. But hell Devils, it’s was damm good. 😉
I met Cpl May back in 2013. If you ever wanted to see a female who could not only do it (by it I mean everything) better than a man, or someone who commands respect by just using her voice this was who you wanted. She would square away the biggest turds, break you off in P.T., and make sure you had everything you needed to succeed in your career. I was always proud to have her as my superior and to this day my wife knows who sgt (last rank she had when I served with her) is and the upmost respect I have for her.
Hi, Brittany. My name's Corey, and I just subscribed to your Chanel. And I want to say Thank you for service your service is greatly appreciated. Even though I'm Canadian, I still appreciate people who are serving in the military, whether it's Canadian or American. I have a question for you, if it's ok. When you're on the parade square with your recruits, do they ever ask you about what its like being a drill instructor? And do they ever say Thank you for your service and for training them to be u.s marine? Sincerely, Corey Hansen from Canada.
She should honestly make a recording of her cadence calling. Id buy it in a heart beat.
JD Yeap I dont know why the Marine hasn't made it happen!
Take my money!
Take my money please
I would too
Sooo true this would be a good cadence while I’m drilling it from the back

Look up mutant mike aka Sgt Ward of the USMC. You might just change your mind.
@@Styxorcist he's close, but mind not changed. May had him beat. I'm quite familiar with mutant mike, and he's badass beyond the core, but mind not changed. May handed Mutant Mike his cadence calling ass.
That's your opinion.
@@errolmcinnes7938I agree with you. She's better.
I remember when she came into the classroom one day when my platoon was trying our hardest to get the hell out of there. It only took her to say, "Oh y'all must want to stay in here with me" for all of us to take flight out that room in .5 seconds. She's like 6 feet tall and I really do admire her.

Hearing their Boots hits the deck and then slowly speed up along with the cadence was beautiful

Don't make a fuck if she's a purple alien. She's a goddamn United States marine.
Joey Baltz facts!!
My to the rear sing song will be this. I will do my best to rep it well.
does anyone have a link to the full version?
Anyone know what song she's singing? The tune sounds familiar.
cdmadison08 It’s just a common Marine Corps cadence. It’s been in lots of movies before you probably heard it there.
If you really wanna experience it you’d have to sign the dotted line and head to bootcamp.
That shi* gave me chills! Rahhh
I was looking for some boots so I could fall in!
