This video is so good! Love all the stuff you're saying, and it feels very authentically spoke aloud. I just grabbed this game a week ago... uh oh lol.
In fairness, if some skater boi did a 2160° Spin to Kickflip in front of me I'd probably die of shock too. What an interesting game! It's certainly one of the more creative skating games I've seen. The physics look super floaty though, and that might turn me away more than anything; characters having the proper weight is important to me in sports games like this. Great video dude!
Ooh I absolutely love this vibe.. if you're looking for another obscure ps2 game with a similar aesthetic, I'd suggest something like Gitarooman or Mad Maestro.
@@gamingnavi Well, no one says you CAN’T hold the controller sideways. It’s like with Sin and Punishment, where they had you hold the middle and left stick instead of middle and right.

I remember this game actually came with a skateboard peripheral that you could place on the analog sticks. Such a weird game lol
I remember trying to find one of those when I made this video, but I couldn't find one anywhere.
@@HoodlieRPG I don't think the experience would differ regardless. I could barely pass the second stage as a kid lol
Haha yeah rocket power! Forgot about that show. Great video! Loved it!

Thank ya kindly. Yeah, the physics are super wonk, maybe to compensate for the weird controls.
To be fair, you can use the controller normally, if you use control type b
That's why I made a joke about it. I guess it was close to the end, so I don't blame you for not seeing it.
@@HoodlieRPG my bad king, didnt finish it, due to just skimming reviews after my first hour of playing.

Well, I have Mad Maestro, and Gitarooman is, like… $200 or something. Maybe one day.
@@HoodlieRPG oh right sorry, never mind about gitarooman, best of luck!
Hahaha!!! This game is certainly something unique, I don’t even know how to go about responding correctly…. Looks fun for sure
It’s fun for about 3 levels… so, like, maybe 20 minutes.
@@HoodlieRPG as soon as you mentioned tech deck controls I couldn’t stop laughing!!! A must play for anyone into quirky games it seems
Who the hell holds a controller sideways?!?!
People who play this game. And some Wii titles, if I remember correctly.
@@HoodlieRPG the Wii was a different console, this is the PS2, it had a standard controller there was no excuse to use the controller this way

i might buy it, it looks ok, but go go hypergrind is honestly way better imo
This isn’t really a high bar to clear. Is Hypergrind weirder than this?… I certainly hope not, otherwise I screwed up real bad.
