Need a running track to workout to? Try running to the speed of the drums in Distortion.... Everyone talks about Su's vocals and crowd control... At Download for Distortion I guess she wasn't using her full crowd control power, she actually had to tell the crowd she wanted a big circle.... Fast forward a few years to the Metal Galaxy Concert, all she did was twirl her finger, and pits were opening up all over the place. Now you should go a little furthur back in the past and checkout Karate from Download 2016, and see how a young Su gets a crowd to sing with her in the pouring rain. 😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘
BABYMETAL Binge? I'm here for that! 🤘🦊🤘Great reaction. So yes, they are one of the very best live bands on the planet right now and they have been for a long time now - they started touring the world in 2014 and they were honing their craft for 3 or 4 years before that. The instrumentalists are the Kami Band, BABYMETAL is the girls. The Kami Band support them in all live shows since early 2014 ... they were phased in gradually from late 2012 playing at a couple of festivals and the encores in some shows, but before that BABYMETAL would sing and dance to pre-recorded instrumentals played on a backing track. The Kami Band are session musicians - but they are the very best to be found in Japan. There have been many Kami Band members, but the same hard core of about 6 played the vast majority of concerts. You will see most often Mikio Fujioka (RIP January 2018), Takayoshi Ohmura, Leda Cygnus and ISAO on guitars (in this video it was Takayoshi Ohmura and ISAO), BOH with his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. Since 2019 the Kami Band of the West have supported BABYMETAL on their lengthy foreign tours - they are American musicians Chris Kelly and CJ Masciantonio on guitars, Clint Tustin or Ryan Neff on bass and Anthony Barone on drums. In live shows they have, as you saw, two lead guitars, bass and drums. Additional instruments (piano, strings, synth etc) and additional vocals (screams, growls and some harmonies) are on backing track - Su-metal's vocals are and always were live every time. The original trio of BABYMETAL were Su-metal (lead vocalist) Moametal and Yuimetal (backing vocals, harmonies and in charge of hyping the crowd, getting everybody involved and joining in with their choreo. Yui last performed in October 2017 and left the band in October 2018 because of poor health. This video was from 2018, Su and Moa toured without Yui and were supported by the two dancers off to either side (Muscle Metal). In 2019 3 dancers (the Avengers Riho, Kano and Momoko) came in to dance in the third spot, taking turns to do that. From about March 2020 Momoko was the only remaining Avenger. She was revealed as the new third member on 1st April 2023, so the "new" BABYMETAL trio are Su-metal (lead vocalist), Moametal and Momometal.
When you said that you wanted to see whether they‘d be able to bring their music to the stage, I knew it would be great to see you get slapped in the face by their performance. These girls (and guys in the band) were born to perform for the masses. I believe that every aspect of their live shows is top notch, and a few of those are not even present in other bands‘ performances. It‘s the most complete package of entertainment. To be fair though, not every sound you hear is produced on stage. There are additional tracks in the mix containing synthesizers and additional backing vocals. „Road of Resistance“ live in Japan is what I would recommend to check out next (along with many others). It‘s pretty much the epitome of stage performances in many ways.
And I'm going to see them here in London in 3 weeks for the 4th time! This was the brilliant original Kami Band but in recent years the Kami Band West have been touring with them. All American I think but excellent musicians nonetheless. You definitely swore more in this one😂 - maybe 'Slaying the Dreamer' was in second place? 😅😂
_Show me big circle!_ 🦊👇💫🏃♂️ Glad to see you're back with more BM songs, this time going back to Metal Galaxy 3rd album. This song is a banger and Japanese fans really like this song, they usually play this in their concerts like recently at The Babyklok Tour and more recently at Next Fest Festival. This was in 2018 when YuiMetal about to leave the band for good, sadly. Usually this song came after "In The Name Of" intro during live performance, is part of the Dark Side of this Metal Galaxy album and got Sepultura vibes, a tribute to another Brazilian metal band that the creator love and respect. Distortion was supposed to be a live premiere song with YuiMetal dancing at Legend S 2017 SuMetal 20th birthday, but that never happened. Song talks about internal and external conflicts in your own mind, and another face of SuMetal, that's why KobaMetal choose another singer to represent the other side with the growls. The 3rd album Metal Galaxy and live performance version after 2019 got the growlings collaboration of Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy. There's also and official MV but none of the girls featured there only CGI and images related to the Chosen Seven lore. This drastic costume changes was during Dark Side era, and they're looking so badass. After this tour, dancers were replaced by a new set of dancers rotation system called _avengers,_ but none of them have a mic or sing, they just dance, but in this era and live tour they were backing up by these two backup dancers called "muscle-metal" by the fans, during big live concert at "Dark Night Carnival" 2018 they put more dancers and a temporary dancer filling the third spot of YuiMetal. Here MoaMetal was dancing behind SuMetal. The Kami Band there were: ISAO and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars. BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums, the only change here was ISAO because Mikio Fujioka (a beloved Kami Band guitarist) past away by this time (R.I.P.), it was really a "dark side era" when this two sad events came to this group, without YuiMetal and Mikio the guitarist. Btw probably this song took some inspiration from Children Of Bodom - Trashed, Lost And Strungout, so it is melodic death metal, not dance metal lol Next suggestion: - Headbanger!! live at Legend 1997 (2013), Gans Tomas got this usually safe to react under "Head Bangya" title. See you next time, habibi.🦊🤘🔥
Jake!! Thank you for sharing all this information about the song, the album, and the live performances. It's always great to connect with fans who are knowledgeable and passionate about the music. You rock! thank you thank you thank you
Hell yea! If you want to be blown away by their live even more: 1). Road of Resistance (official): 17 year old Su-metal controls 20K 2). Rondo of Nightmare (Budokan 2014): 16 year old Su-metal Solo with epic band flex. Babymetal members: Lead vocal: Su-metal Backup vocals / Dance: Moametal Backup vocals / Dance: Momometal (since 2019, officially announced as 3rd member Apr 2023). Previous member: Yuimetal (backup vocals/dance): founding member, left in 2018 due to health. Kami Band: not official Babymetal, super talented session musicians. While many members, the core band members has been playing with Babymetal live since end of 2013. In 2020, Kami Band West was also introduced (Americans) and they tour with Babymetal quite heavily now. Unofficially to all the fans, Kami Band is “part of Babymetal” 👌😉 🤘🦊 subscribed, more Babymetal please!!
"In 2020, Kami Band West was also introduced (Americans) and they tour with Babymetal quite heavily now." In 2019. The first show with the Western Kami Band was in Orlando, Florida on September 4th, 2019.
Friend, such a good, enthusiastic reaction. You have to realize that young as they are this band-basically-has been playing and touring since 2010. When Babymetal started the lead singer Sumetal was 11 and the then, now again two other official members of the band were 10. There is such a rich, interesting history behind Babymetal. The Kami Band-instrumentalists are not officially part of Babymetal but they have played so many performances together. Babymetals indoor concerts-especially in Japan are EPIC! They allows deliver 100% but it is in Japan where ALL the stops are pulled out for live performances. I believe at this point BM has four studio albums and 14 live DVDs and BluRays which kind of tells you how amazing they are live. I'm so glad you reacted to this performance in front of a huge English crowd. One known to be both picky and demonstrative-not always in a good way. Obviously they loved BM here. Get into BM and you'll find out more and more of the lore and you'll hear wonderful music and see astounding performances. Welcome to the Foxhole-you'll learn.
Nice reaction. Babymetals festival appearances have been as big as some of their solo shows. But not as big as their headline shows in Japan. Those are just next level after Epic. If you want to see more of the Kamiband members playing checkout Babymetal videos with intros on them. Like Yava, Catch Me if You Can, and Rondo of Nightmare with Mischief of the gods intro. Officially Su and Moa were the only members of Babymetal when this video was done. The 3 original members are Su-metal, Yuimetal (left in 2018 due to undisclosed health issue, We respect her privacy on this matter) and Moametal. This year the former avenger backup dancer from their last tour Momoko was promoted to official member of the group and is now known as Momometal. Momo has been doing a fantastic job as many of fans knew she would. Enjoy the journey through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.
Babymetal is really good at being metal and yet also upbeat. Also their arrangements are good, changing things up every little bit so their songs don't get monotonous. My personal favorite song of theirs has always been iine. BxMxC is also good. If you want to see them interact in a really cool way with a good-sized crowd, check out the Live in Japan video of Road to Resistance. At some point you probably also want to see their first music video, Dokidoki Morning, if for no other reason than just to appreciate the weirdness.
Su ÷ metal looks more attractive in her very impressive other video songs of pure lovely perfection of greatness!!✨ But its her voice of true great abilities makes her forever rising talented!!🇯🇵🤟🔥💞🎆
I would love for you to react to Disturbed “ The sound of silence “ the live version. I know you are going to be shuck 😊 PLEASEEEEEEEEE. I would love to see your reaction. ❤️
I love your reactions brother! No problem at all to stick for a couple of reactions with Babymetal. Suggestion; Headbanger live! The Kami band is out of earth, the girls are but when you see the interaction with the audience....
@@ArabManReacts Yep. This was during the time when Yui (previous third member) was unable to perform due to health related issues. At that time the fan's and i think Babymetal as a band themsheves too didnt have any clarity as to when she was returning. They started the 2018 US tour without Yui and faced huge backlash from fans as what they saw was completely different from what Babymetal was in the past. Yui wasn't there, the costumes were different, 3 girl formation wasn't there, upto 4 back up dancers were addedat some point of time. Everything seemed different. They eventually returned to classic trio Babymetal style in 2019. Had three girls rotating one at a time in Yui's spot till April of this year, where on the first day of their two day concert they announced that one of the girls that have been filling in is going to be new third permanant member. Thats is how Momo Metal (Momoko Okazaki) became the third Babymetal member replacing Yui Metal who left the band permanantly in 2018.
This band just makes me sing Woohruooohhhruohhhohhh like crazy, BABYMETAL just feels so good I swear. Kitsune-up!
BabyMetal are best live and have best live band awards to prove it 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
