I just bought a 14 hp from Lowes, and I got a giant hackberry stump to grind away on and several smaller. It would cost way too much to rent a machine to get it done. Maybe after Im done I'll rent myself out.
Stump grinding for my first time I have 10 stumps lined up you help me a lot !
Let me know how it goes
Good advice, Adam! I've had several people call me because the rental units grinders are all but useless due to dull teeth. Keep up the good work!
Thanks 👍
As always, informative!
Thanks again!
great video!
Chris great to hear from you and I hope you can come to the TCI show in St.Lewis Nov 17 th
I’m was a FF EMT- Paramedic that worked for Leon Valley FD in San Antonio. I left there and worked as a Contract Medic in Afghanistan/ Iraq for three years. Now I’ve been offshore Medic / Safety for 18 yrs and plan to retire in two years . I currently live in Virginia and interested in starting my business in stump grinding. Trees are cut down or fall all the time. How do I go about getting clients? Also what is brand and model of machine do you operate? Thanks David
Bandit 2550
Thanks
No problem
You tha man. Quick question best stump grinder for side business??
to start that would be the Bandit sg40
On a 2550 bandit what is a more productive cutter wheel to purchase? The revolution or the green tooth wheel? I run a rayco rg45 and rg100. Considering a bandit machine to escape belt and bearing maintenance as long as the 2550 is as productive as what I use currently. Thanks in advance.
What is soil like? If lots of rocks go new river
@@mustangrebuilder it's not Rocky soil. Just wanting most productive machine possible to replace my rg45.
I find the green's are just a tad faster but I no longer have to replace bolts and pockets just a tooth here and there and I can sharpen on the machine with a diamond wheel faster or should I say edge up a tooth in 30 seconds Oh and I found a new diamond wheel for under 12 bucks that I will be testing in a few weeks@@ryanschultz6146
Hey man! Question for you.
I run an SG 40. I remember hearing you say in a video where to buy a cheaper backup belt. Do you by chance have a link to that?
Looking to have a spare cutter wheel belt but I guess it wouldn't hurt to have the other also.
Thanks man

If the link doesn't work just email me mustangrebuilder@gmail.com
Excellent information as always Adam, God bless you. A long arch length along the cutting wheel really bogs down the machine.
On our SC1102 the cutting wheel is about 30 inches in diameter. Near the bottom of the cut I like to pull the machine back from the stump about 1 inch, to shorten the arch length. It seems to reduces the drag.
I would be tempted to "invite" the trolls to make a video that was "better" than yours so that your 10,000 subscribers can watch and provide "helpful" feedback. Just a thought...
We appreciate you Adam, God bless.
As always thank you my friend
