Me n Jesus have lunch all the time. I do my bible study at the table. I even hang outer with Him in my car during lunchtime and listen to radio programming . Even at the lake. Its so quiet and calming. Love your video!! Tfs

I absolutely LOVE that you made a point to say, when you are in quiet time with God to be sure the music you are listening to is God centered and not self centered. We are afforded so many opportunities throughout the day to sing praises for His blessings toward us, but this one on one time with God should DEF be all about praising, honoring and glorifying Him.. just for being Him. This one on one moment...at a special time in our day where we set aside uninterrupted time to sit and be with God....should be all about HIM!!! Not coming for blessings but to sit there at His feet. No place I'd rather be!

Hi, Jai T. Have you gotten better at quieting your mind since you wrote your comment? If not, try writing scriptures on index cards. Meditate on scriptures about the mind and your thoughts. For example, 2 Corinthians 10:5-7 or Phillipians 4:6-9.
When I’d spend time with God it would feel like a chore to me. I rarely ever wanted to spend time with God. And I’m really hoping your video will help me in the future. I have lots of faith that it will. Thank you! 😊😁💕
I have the same feelings too sometimes. For me, when I started doing a certain amount of time, it helped. Instead of saying, okay I'll read four chapters because then you kind of want to just rush through it. I don't know, I hoped this helped :)

I used to go on "faith walks" at 12am in my old neighborhood. They were just nightly walks around the block that I gave that name in order to build my faith up in Him. I was new in Christ and truly afraid of demons and the dark because I had encountered them for over a year while living at that home before I became a Christian. So, I would walk outside where I knew any spirit could roam freely and walked through the night (again in my neighborhood) and listened to worship music on a low volume while asking God to lay His presence on me and to help me trust in Him to cast out the fear. I did this for a while and one time when I did so, He put His weight down on me and I began to walk so much slower and felt as if I was moving/walking through water and not air. When I got back close to my house, I looked up to see a tall light in the distance standing in the field and seconds later it flew across the field in the direction to my house. I knew it was an angel that He let me see move. I got back home and asked if the angel was there but I saw nothing else. I just felt peace. Along with having dates and quiet time with God, just doing and stepping out on faith may be how God will answer a prayer and build you up getting closer to Him. I walked in the night scared until I wasn't anymore and waited for God to light the way.

I’ve been a Christian for a few year, but I didn’t hear about having a quiet time until my Bible teacher told me. I never thought about using the concordance! Thank you for being willing to put your faith in the internet. Many people don’t do that because they’re more worried about their career. Thanks!
Amazing advice on spending quiet time with God. This is an area I struggle with currently and I so desire to spend more time with Him. It’s hard with a husband, 2 kids, a full time job, and trying to start a business but I can tell I desperately need alone time with Him. Thank you for sharing!
My quiet time varies. Sometimes I dance, sometimes i worship, I read my devotion and scripture. Never the same daily.

I didnt think about the airplane mode.. great suggestions along with a few others... this is why I like TH-cam because we can all help each other with advice and wisdom that we have learned from someone else.. Yes! God journal, and showing us that we are literally walking in answered prayers every day. Gold. Airplane mode. Gold. Charge our phones every night, charge ourselves with God every day... G O L D!

Hi I’m 12 years old and I read my Bible, pray, listen to gospel, have a praying app and bible app, invites the lord Jesus Christ into my heart but I sometimes feel like I’m not doing enough and I even do bible trivia after reading two books in the Bible to make sure I understand and paid attention to the important things in the book but STILL feel a slight separation from him and I don’t know why please help. Have you experienced this before?

I love to use You Version Bible app! Devotionals are available, I really enjoy listening to scripture early in the morning. Just me, my coffee, my kitty, blanket, and God! I have a prayer journal, I do not write daily, but it is one of my favorite ways to pray. Yes, music is a powerful part but as you stated it is not the same daily. Also, my study Bible is a great asset! Chuck Swindoll "Searching the Scripture".

Great video, I must say though I have to respectfully disagree with recommending the “preachers” that you mentioned as they are all proven false teachers, it is not my opinion but it can be proven from God’s Word. Lastly, again I mean no disrespect, but I believe I have been called to make these things known to Gods people, but you mentioned speaking things into existence and I know you have nothing but good intentions but from the Word it is clear that God is the only one who can speak things into existence, if we could do that we wouldn’t need God. It seems like you have a heart for the savior and I think that is awesome, please pray and fast about what I mentioned to you, I also am praying and fasting to make sure that I am not the one who is deceived on these issues. So how has your studying coming along?
This is a brilliant video. Thanks. I'm Anglican and this is what I do re my 'quiet time'... I have two prayer times each day, one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening. In the morning hour I read Scripture for about 20 minutes, stopping to praise God or talk to God whenever I get to a verse that turns me to prayer, then I read the next verse(s) and so on. After about 20 minutes I have 10 minutes of simply adoring God in silence. After that I have 30 minutes 'space' in which I sit with my journal open. I mostly just sit in God's presence listening, occasionally speaking in response to what I 'hear' and often writing down what I feel God is saying to me. Towards the end of the prayer time I pray for the day ahead. In my evening hour of prayer I start by looking back over the day for about 15mins with the Holy Spirit (thanking God, confessing my sins, acknowledging where I need God's healing, asking God to show me where God was in my day and what the Spirit wants me to show me...). After that I pray with the Gospel passage that we will read at Holy Communion the next day. (Lots of Anglican and Roman Catholic churches and other denominations share a world wide Bible reading plan called the lectionary so that we can all read the same passages on the same day). I pray with the Gospel passage in the style of 'Lectio Divina' or 'Gospel Contemplation', really entering into the passage myself as one of the characters and really encountering Jesus through praying with the passage. I do this for about 20mins or so. Then for the rest of my prayer hour I mostly simply talk with Jesus or whatever else the Holy Spirit leads me to... I have some time in the day outside of these two hours when I pray for others because that's important too!
I find it better for me if I put my phone in a completely different room while I'm reading my bible. Thank you for the tips!

Sol Studios I have both an e-Bible and a paper Bible. E-Bibles are obviously easy to carry, so I enjoy reading them while commuting, but I use a paper Bible for dedicated worship like Church or group Bible study.

Loved the tips. I start out my quiet time listening to worship music, pray to God telling him three things I am thankful for and then asking him to open my heart to His word and to help me slow down in this moment to be present to him. I listen to the chapter of whatever book of the Bible I am currently reading on YouVersion then read it out loud slowly and I’ll look through a commentary if there’s something I don’t understand. I then journal about what I learned, how I am going to apply it and write down a prayer. Finally, I will sit quietly while waiting for a response and sometimes there isn’t one but other times there is.

Also wanted to share that I started bible journaling few months ago it has really helped me and the Bible app has so many awesome bible plans reading/study’s you should look into them. I have been saved since 2021.
I pray and spend as much time with the Lord as possible everyday.
God is the Shepherd who protects us and saves from danger.... when we go astray he shall search for even one lost sheep to pull back, love, care and tend to that lamb and He rejoices when He brings back his sheep to the flock. May God bring back all his people on earth who have strayed away due to malpractices and bad habits...No one is perfect. There's always a chance to correct oneself and restart a new life to bring glory to GOD!!....

What I do when I am spending time wit God. I listen to a sermon it might be Joyce Meyers or it Sarah jakes Roberts , I have a little church service with them. I always play gospel music and dance just like David. And then I end it by going over my notes I might do a payer note or I might just pray.
I start with reading devotionals on my bible app and i write and talk to God about the lesson. This has helped me so much. I do this in the am, because it works for me. I also wrap up with prayer. Thanks for the video, stay encouraged!

Is quiet time you alone with god only or can you have quiet day time with a friend?
If u feel in ur heart that draws u to do something inside voice. I feel thats God talking tou.
