RIP Greenville. The Emerald City Has lost its lustre. First time I saw Dave ride I was walking to the bars tripping my balls off on Acid. It was night and he was riding the wall on 1st street kinda across from the town commons. The whole experience made me question reality. I kid you not. I was this is not humanly possible. I shared a back yard With Donnie god I can remember them fools had me woke up in the morning with the sound of him and his brother dropping in. Wow Donnie had a ramp even before this doc gives him credit for. I know for a fact he had one max latest would have been when I was 15 so in 83 1984 he always rode a scooter or whatever. Greenville was amazing. I mean I landscaped Dave's mansion then cut his grass as his regular house. Dave would go on golf trips with my pops and just old ass men. He said he would just chill and he couldn't play golf worth a piss and it really really bothered him he was that competitive. Nyquist sold me his original haro at a yard sale. He had wrecked it and hurt himself first time he rode it and he put a big ol lock and chain on it. Dude was so humble he sold that bike to me for 70 bucks. What a time to be alive. All these dudes were just awesome. No judgement in Greenville. Party hard for young whatever that was truly the attitude. PeaCe
Used to look up to Mirra when I was young. He grew up about 10 mins from me and we rode the same skatepark. I remember knowing about him and then the very first time seeing him at the skatepark, meeting and getting to ride with him. Really glad I had a chance to know him.

When I was around 7 dave mirra bunny hopped over me and some friends and I just remembered how it was the greatest thing I’ve ever seen, but now he’s gone but I still have good memories
I recall being the biggest Mike Dominguez fan...then came Matt Hoffman and wow, how he changed the sport! Then Dave started beating Matt at the X-Games and how could you not love this guy? Amazing style, incredible airs and ballsy like nobody's business. These guys and many more have progressed the sport to a level I never thought was possible when I rode back in the 80's. This was an excellent video, thanks for all involved who put it together. Dave was a legend of legends, RIP

i always loved dave mirra. ever since i was a little hoodlum bmx'r in the mean streets on NY thinking i was the man when i could jump higher than anyone else on the dirt ramps we had all over town. (but i couldnt 360 to save my life).. I never knew Dave Mirra was the reason Greenville was on the map. I also never knew he was from NY. i figured he was from Cali like almost everyone else. To watch this though was awesome. so much awesome knowledge packed into this video. whoever made it is amazing. and so many people love it. Bmx will always be my life. even though i havent had a bike since it was stolen a few years ago, and now im so hurt at 34 y/o that i can barely walk most days. But that bmx mindset will always be who i am. and it was because of dave mirra and ryan nyquist more than any other pro name. RIP Dave Mirra. RIP Colin Winkelman NEVER forgotten. weird to hear Dave talk about Colin's death. A couple years later Dave dose the same thing. Im still hurt by these guys cant imagine how there family's feel.
yeah because for these guys when they get old they cant do the one thing they love anymore. BMX takes more of a toll on you than skaeboarding or any other xtreme sport. when the bike hits you or you crash over the bars you get really screwed up. so these guys get older and cant compete anymore, cant do the same tricks anymore. go watch the tony hawk video of him at 50 years old trying to do the 900 again, he falls like 30 times and is about to give up. because when you get older you just cant do what you did when you were younger. these guys got to see the best times and the worst times and unfortunately they cant handle the bad times.

Can't believe I was going there as a kid when it was first taking off like that. Wish I never stopped riding!
Mirra/Nyquist did a great job with bmx turning it into a soap opera.
What year was this doco made? Some golden years of BMX here. RIP Dave & Colin
damnnnnn....when u look @ sumin like this. you don’t wana know anything about new riders today, ‘metaphorically’ speaking, respect to all.
Enjoyed this so much. They made it so big TOO. Woww. I only wonder where is mr matt Hoffman in the middle of all these? lol
This was absolutely amazing. It's a shame there's still no park in Syracuse
Wow, I used to ride with Don Wigent. That scooter. So many memories.
Bmx thrives when you have people giving back to their bmx community. The Greenville scene was simply guys putting effort into their scene and this small town has turned into one of the most famous places in the sport.
Wow that was awesome guys.
Great vid, was a trip down memory lane for sure.
Colins tripple back flip to the rail crash during xgames (possibly dew tour) was unforgettable !. Rip dude!.
Epic Awesomeness
Thank you for uploading this
19:55 the wall walk !!
The fact ive rode that back in the day with the Dowell brothers ...
I've lived in nc my intire life, in hickory and never knew all the pros live a few hours away. 31 years and I could have been riding with them the whole time. I'm going to Greenville for sure....
Love from LKN bro
I’m from Raleigh and I said the same thing to my wife
Gaston county here. Been out of riding for many years, but the last few I’ve been tripping out on all the stuff on YT I’m finding.
Still have my 1st gen PK Ripper. Well, the frame,,, in storage,,, damn I want to put something together and ride,,,, better update my health insurance first,,, lol
It's pretty cool that you posted this at the end of October because Halloween in Greensville is F'n dope. Check it out if you ever get the chance.
The warehouses and the park at jc were all sick. And I think there's some shots of it but that dirt track In the woods was right behind were I lived as a kid. It's cool seeing how it all came together bc I didn't see it till after it was all built up
This was at the height of my BMXing. Boy were those the good old days😊
Back when HIGH SEATS were in.
We were learning
Seen this back in the day so good
Exactly how old is this documentary?
@Michael Villalovos, thank you🙏
So what has happened to the warehouse within the past year? I looked it up and can’t seem to find a clear answer. I saw it was dubbed the BMX House in 2011 but it looks like a new business bought the building and remodeled it…
All those parts where they were In the woods at some dirt jumps I live right next to it and am happy to inform you that we are still keeping it up maybe even better than they did
Flynn Nease Where about are they located? I’m a Greenville resident as well.
Kody Cyr actually just last month someone started building a house on the land and the leveled it all out 😢😢😢
Thank you for this...
First song was in the bmx dirty east contest at the flow skatepark in 06. Instant nostalgia lol
So many feels.
