The collapse of empires often stems from the failure of the tax base.
The last emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Chongzhen, had asked his ministers, local officials and royal relatives to provide him with military expenses, but almost no one responded. When the peasant uprising army broke through the city of Beijing, the treasuries of officers‘ houses were jaw-dropping. The number of silver ingots, alone, was counted in millions.
Then, when the Qing army made slaughtering in the south, the wealths and grains storages they robbed from the big landlords and merchants was even greater than that of the ministers in Beijing.

That's just one option to absorb many of those jobs. But also take a moment to considerhow much more beneficial it would be to society to build infrastructure, invest in R&D in medicine and technology than building fricken aircraft carriers or maintaining it's tens of thousands of nuclear weapons? Corporations are considered double taxed. Wages to employees are taxed at one rate. Revenues after expenses are taxed at another rate. Payments to shareholders are taxed at another rate. Realized gains on stock are taxed at another rate. Seems more like quadrupled taxed.
The difference between the USA and the euro countries isn't there corporate tax rates because all the rates are close enough. The difference is individual income tax. Everyone in Europe are taxed at a much higher rate thane US citizens. People in the US think they can get all the goodies they want from government by taxing corporations. All they'll get in the end is inflation, unemployment, and bankruptcy.

Corporate shareholders include retirement funds, insurance companies, charitable foundations, and plenty of poor people. They get taxed too.
Instead, simply abolish the corporate income tax, *and* the preferencial rates for capital gains and dividends that literally every single one of these countries has.

@@frostystallie8736 Any disagreement can evolve into war when it is not addressed at appropriate time. Any war can escalate to nuclear war is something anyone can understand.
