same thing happened to me as a wildlife ranger on a remote island..I dug my way out...Those quads look light being all plastic and baloon tires, but man are they heavy..glad you can hold your little ones again

I’ve been obsessed with survival stories since I read Alive in 1974 as an eighth grader. Always interesting and compelling. I love this series.
I ran myself over with a quad doing the same thing getting something out of my eye distracted with that not paying attention meant to hit the brakes and hit the throttle clipped a tree my foot slipped off the quad and the back wheel grabbed my foot and basically just sucked me under the machine that shit sucked
Amazing how he was found and survived that long, I'm just curious about the trek back from the quad to the truck after he was found.... that must not have been easy and is usually explained on these episodes, glad he lived!
Unlike many of the folks in this series, this man didn´t make any questionable, dumb decisions, AND, was fully prepared going into his trip. He was just plain unlucky and caught a bad break, still, he was able to smartly save himself, well done!

This exact same thing happened to me when I was 13, luckily I had people with me to pull the side by side off my leg, and ot tore all the muscle tendons and flesh around my shin bone 🥲 a yeah of physio and 8 surgery’s later along with a huge skin graft o still have my leg 11 years later ✨

Not really knowing in the first 3 minutes its mentioned about overpopulation which does effect nature if not kept in check Im not even a hunter. Hell, I hate the idea of hunting and I'm aware it's a necessity

I'm sure there's a reason why he didn't or couldn't do that but can you imagine him reading through the comments here now and thinking... oh shit I could have just used the axe to dig out some earth around my legs...

Them their 4 wheelers ARE dangerous for sure.Have a Yam 350(2013 w/only 200 hours on it)and the handle bars can jerk really fast causing disaster.Buddy of mines' mother was killed on one.She couldn't make a sharp turn so veered somewhat straight and down a 60ft cliff.WV.....
Similar happened to me on mount norquay also in Alberta, except I was on a skidoo and thankfully was only stuck pinned for about 20 mins or so. I would also like to say I would have probably died in his situation so most definitely not a brag, I was lucky. I wasn’t pinned nearly as badly as him, and was still on a slope so managed to maneuver enough for it to roll over me. Seriously sucked, but better than being trapped and unable to reach my radio.
This was one of the worst cases in ISBA episodes. Pinned, upside down! Terrible disaster. Hes really a strong man. I would have closed my eyes and waited for Jesus to come and get me😢
I've dumped a 4 wheeler on top of me once as a kid. I didn't get hurt, but those things are so hard to throw off or even move out from under it, even for a non-disabled person.

this is heavy, who would've thought being stuck in just one spot could be so dark. Crushed with pain and laying down as the cold and lonely nights pass, just makes you image what it would be like in this position
@@aidanbarnes4290 Unfortunately no. It seems as if the beaver are almost impossible to trap on land and the underwater trap simply snags them while underwater. Thus they drown and they go through the same process that a human does. Once their air is expelled they then suck up water into their lungs which is pretty much torture. Hold your breath as long as you can and then exhale. Now put your hand over your nose and mouth and imagine they become stuck disallowing you to inhale anther breath.

My SAR crew found a lady in Silverthorne Colorado completely naked in the blue river cause she hit that point of heat. Super sad but yeah, people definitely think they're too warm in the final stages of hypothermia

I suspect the rescuer went back and got his truck after he'd made him as comfortable as possible and drove to the spot to get him.

He’s a licensed trapper. Part of why he was out on ATV was to check his traps. A couple had beavers in them.
Yes because shivering is the body's attempt to warm you up so once you stop shivering you have nothing to really warm you up with

this is heavy, who would've thought being stuck in just one spot could be so dark. Crushed with pain and laying down as the cold and lonely nights pass, just makes you image what it would be like in this position

@@aidanbarnes4290 Unfortunately no. It seems as if the beaver are almost impossible to trap on land and the underwater trap simply snags them while underwater. Thus they drown and they go through the same process that a human does. Once their air is expelled they then suck up water into their lungs which is pretty much torture. Hold your breath as long as you can and then exhale. Now put your hand over your nose and mouth and imagine they become stuck disallowing you to inhale anther breath.

Hildebrand is a Dutch patriciers name, sort of lower nobleman who serve the country in some way without being called for. The term was used from the 17/18th century. But during ww2 the Dutch prime minister was from the Hildebrand family.
I believe the founders of Vancouver where from the same order. They came from/van Coevorden, i always wonderd when it changed from van Coevorden to van Couver to Vancouver 😅
Would have been funny if vancouver was in the usa people could say: I'm a Yankee Vancouver or Jankees van Coevorden a perfect normal name in Dutch.

My SAR crew found a lady in Silverthorne Colorado completely naked in the blue river cause she hit that point of heat. Super sad but yeah, people definitely think they're too warm in the final stages of hypothermia
