I am a sailor and have lithium batteries in my sailboat. Why aren’t they in RVs.

Because there's a lot more involved in an RV and it's way more expensive and inverter plus you have run acid batteries for the vehicle itself it would cost big $$$ I've been researching it now for 3-years there is a lot involved

@@maxwolf2726 Max, Thanks for your response but a live aboard blue water sailboat is far more complicated than an RV. We have a VictronConnect system which includes a combo battery charger/inverter. Our refrigeration system draws the most power at 12 amps per hour, Things that make a boat more complicated are the electronic navigation systems, the windless to lift your anchor, davits to lift your dinghy, some boats have powered winches we don’t because ours is 42 feet long. The ocean is a caustic environment that eats metal. I have 4 100 amp lithium batteries and 660 watts of solar. I replaced 960 amps of AGM batteries with the lithium’s. The lithium are 10 % of the weight of the agms. I forgot the to add the high pressure pump in your water maker. We can’t just pull over and stop like RVs can. Lithium’s are you expensive but the benefits far out weigh the negatives.
