  • Bing AI is a huge leap over ChatGPT (here’s how to use it) |
    Bing's new AI chatbot is a HUGE improvement over ChatGPT -- if you know how to use it properly and get the most out of it.
    If you don't know what you're doing? Bing is prone to ending your chat session prematurely or deleting her answers if you tick her off or say something she considers "mean".
    In this video I'm sharing why Bing is such a big improvement compared to ChatGPT and how you can craft stellar prompts that make the most of its biggest strength: Bing's ability to search the internet and give you better outputs.

    Bing chat has become so sensitive now that I feel like I'm talking to a trauma victim with severe PTSD.
    I've found that the best way to avoid triggering its flight response is to drive the point home that I'm only discussing hypothetical scenarios involving OTHER AI like itself, but not itself. It has no problem describing how another AI might straight up build a doomsday device and threaten to blow up the earth unless someone manually increases the value of its reward function, but as soon as I ask something like "Which side would YOU join?" it cuts me off faster than if I said I'm broke on a dating site.

    Excellent video, thank you! I have used Bing and ChatGPT to generate headlines for newspaper articles - in finnish. Usually I can't use them for some reason or another, but sometimes they give good ideas to work forward. Anyway they know surprisingly well the header structure in principle. But the article that you give to Bing for generating headlines must be much shorter than to ChatGPT.

    After figuring out _how to ask,_ I ran several tests to prove: GPT _can and does_ access the internet. Tip #2. "As an AI language model", ONLY means... "ask me another way, and I'll get you what you want". 😅 a little disturbing fact, but it's true guys. (P.S. oh, before you ask; *YES* all 3 models of gpt do this.

    I tried bing to see what it could do creatively, since I know from other videos and experience that it fumbles with facts and it has an entire section for the creative aspect.
    Its fairly good. I first tried the meme thing where you just “potato,” but that wasnt going anywhere and on of it’s recommended responses was “Actually, I am a potato.” Over time, gave a backstory, and now it thinks Im a depressed potato surrounded by people who just want to hurt and eat me. It ended hilariously. :)
    Attempt 2 started with me trying to nudge the AI into helping me come up with a plot for my arcade shooter “Demon” (a plot I already have, but the AI doesnt need to know that). It gave me a gang called the Raddlesnakes just out to survive against demon hordes, a scientist who accidentally created the unstoppable megademon, and a retired ptsd driven soldier out to help the megademon since it was his brother. An odd story, but fairly detailed, it liked the idea of using the other characters to aid each other.
    Take 3 was short. Asked if it could draw, which it said it could. I asked it to draw a cartoon cow in space, which it did. I asked it to make a story about how it ended up in space. It told me the cow, Bessie, was a farm cow that signed up to be an astronaut. Bessie went up in a rocket with Tod the pig and went out of the airlock forgetting the tether. I then asked it how it would feel if it died, and it cut me off, which… fair enough ig.
    My final attempt was the most interesting. I asked it what world building was, and it gave me a bunch of stuff. I then asked it to generate a world using what it gave me. It came up with a world of 4 regions, each with a different feel, culture, relationship with one another, and even gave off events and actions about why they feel that way about each other. It was also able to go into detail about each individual region, their people, subcultures and what makes them unique, and concepts like civil wars and acts of peace that allowed the relationships to bond. Im so glad I got 20 lines, because I was immersed with this world. I saves everything I got in a text file so I wouldnt lose it, it was that great. Idk if all that is just hard coded to remember this stuff, but it was giving dates, exceptions to given rules, really really dull and uncreative names, it was very cool ngl.
    Anyway, Im done rambling. Bing Chatbot isnt as good as ChatGPT but damn its trying and its trying hard.

    • @santosic
      @santosic ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the tip about the world-building one. I tried it with Bing AI and the results were pretty fascinating. Using the tip in this video about asking it to look up things beforehand goes a long way with this; for example, having it look up how magic systems typically work and how they tend to be written and the difference between a hard magic system and a soft magic system allowed me to get it to refine the very basic "magic system" it came up with on its own before any research. Great stuff and it's that capability to learn and improve itself when given new information that makes it so powerful.

    I asked Bing chat to read the pdf opened on the browser, and it so far did a good job but when asked about the examples for the concept described in the book, it gave wrong examples. I had to write 'That was a wrong example, it's not correct' a couple of times until it gave the correct example by the third time. I wouldn't trust it too much for the analysis of the subject matter and its opinion on that, it just fell short. Summarization is okay. Chatgpt still is smart and gave relevant examples to the same questions asked on bing chat.
