Tracking Hurricane Beryl | Storm moves closer to Jamaica as a Cat. 4

- Hurricane Beryl continues to maintain Category 4 strength as it moves towards Jamaica, according to KHOU 11 Chief Meteorologist David Paul. Winds are sustained at 140 mph as it moves west-northwest at 20 mph. This storm is expected to slowly weaken on approach to the Yucatan Peninsula later this week. That new eye forming actually formed a few miles further south, sparing Jamaica from a direct hit
Its just raining hard and a little bit windy in kingston but no damage here..i mean the rain is letting up outside ..think i might go take a shower in that rain lol but yea beryl is purring like a kitten

It looks like it's trying to organize itself better. The eye is definitely opening up. The satellite footage looks like it's strengthening, but the pressure indicates it's weakening.

A solar event just occurred. It will be updated in the spaceweather forecast once they do the reading. The last time. It fueled this storm. I really concerned that even though the eye appears disorganized- now? That may not be the case later. And. Big and. The 20% storm might follow in the big steps of the storm in front. It’s early.
