I was running a little 20A PSU with 2x MRF455. Was working fine around 14V but I decided to mess around with the antenna tuner to tune the limits. Things were getting hot and when SWR was hifh the fans were drawing down. Suddenly sparks and bang. Keep the tune good! No matter. I already purchased 10x the parts for $4 I got it for free with an unmodified 2 pill. I would advise dismantling supplies like this and going over any thin looking or other solder joints with chunky connectors. Usually they come with unleaded solder Add some leaded solder to any large solder joints. I put it on a 27A and it's no sweat. up to 300W probably 600Peak. Had to add a larger air coke or inductor on the output as it was going into self oscillation on full power.
They have to be identical and best add some balance resistors to be safe. Generally you won't need to because the amp just sucks power from both if they are close to identical.
These are real junkers. Get rid of them. They have quit amount noise on the DC and probably you will see some AC voltage on the output as well cause of the lack of proper filtering. Saw other video’s where they that took them apart. Fake caps as well. The dents were patched up with some wax and they put on a new plastic sleeve. No joke. Bad cooling also. Saw the comment from used HP servers. Yes; go that route. Clean DC power from those. Af course some small ripple, but you will have that on any switching PSU. I’ll prefer linear but if you need high current you’ll stuck to switching. 73
IF you have the s-600 -12 the fan doesn't turn on. mine was masking taped with a temp senor that doesn't work ! no cooling, until - I pulled it off ! ~1200 SC
I did run 2 power supply in series to achieve 24volt for the zetagi b 501...2xmrf422.... Think your power consumption is arround 80 ampere in peak.... At least!? Any way good video...., 73
Take the top cover off both power supplies and take the cooling fan and flip it over from it's original position, those power supply fans from the factory are installed to pull out hot air leaving no breathability for the internal parts leaving zero air circulation inside, by flipping the power supply fans,.. air will be continuously circulated throughout all components allowing the power supplies to last longer. Hope this info helps. Keep them videos coming. 73's 👍
Get you some Hewlett Packard server power supplies and throw these in the trash. Better quality and lower noise. Plenty of videos on HP 1200W server supplies which are modifiable up to 15.9V @ 100 amps all day long, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. These janky units in the video are last decades' news.
Meishile power supply S-480-12. 12 volt 40 amp. Two ran the three pill no problem. But I can only turn the voltage up to 13.7 and they would kick off occasionally when talking.
Laziest ripoff of the real brand I have ever had the displeasure of disassembling. MeanWell is the original, MegaWatt buys copies off alibaba from china and slaps on labels in a shack in the desert.

Does that Dosy have a battery or external power source?
Another thing the builders put the fans on the wrong side. The heat sink gets hot not the top side of the transistors.
Agree, and I'd rather have the heatsink on top rather on the bottom for much better heat dissipation plus the fan on top as well.
Mine is a 125 amp and feeds anything up to an 8 pill

I have a couple but they only output 12.4v any way to increase voltage a little higher more useful ?
Some of the computer supply's dont. I have 2 rv supply's, one a 75 amp the other 125 amp, and you can adjust then to 16 volts..

On each psu, have you linked the 3 positive terminals and the 3 negative terminals?
I didn’t. But 22 runs them that way. Doesn’t seem to make a difference. They still kicking off.

Why don't you use a bird meter. They are more accurate then that dosy.
