There are some good AI mods that make it play a little better. The default bots have insane hearing and tend to run towards loud noises so if you hang around the same area too long after killing someone they'll tend to keep running up on you. I killed like 12 bots in dorms three story the other day because after the first couple they just kept showing up until pretty much everything on that part of the map was dead.
@@gamervisuals Theres also a few mods that fix them being able to see through bushes (No Bush ESP) and also a mod called No Grenade ESP, basically a configurable % chance that the bots will hear the grenade or not. If you noticed, every single bot reacted as soon as you threw those nades and ran. I have mine set so they have an 85% chance they dont react, as realistically majority of the time you wont hear it.
@@gamervisualssorry this is super late but the essentials are for SPT 3.7.1 • SAIN (overhauled AI package and is so amazingly real in firefights, cat-and-mouse, Scav & PMC squads can do impressive maneuvers to traverse safely, etc.) • LootingBots(?) is one of the most downloaded and recommended in almost every mod's page; you can tweak it to have realistic detection ranges so that they don't hoover up everything.. it's insanely modular and you can tweak it to have almost perfect and balanced looting from AIs, both Scavs and PMCs. • QuestingNPCs is amazing as it simulates both in game traffic to quest locations and conditions for PMCs.. but more amazing is that it also effects the ECONOMY, especially for Gunsmith Part 1 and 2. Awesome stuff. • AlgorithmicProgression gives scaling to the PMCs relative to your level in a insanely neat and balanced way; it also is very modular and you can adjust the "tiers" spawn rates, item variance rates, stricter Tier equipment usage--with both it makes really wild and strange developments of meta within your profile. Absolutely essential as well. • ItsLit is essentially an anti-bot ESP mod taken to a more specific direction; focusing on lighting and foliage. You can set the modifiers to darkness and foliage to make ambushes and stealth, evasion and just realistic disengagements as they no longer have ESP. While SAIN also includes waaaay more extensive AI overhauls that include stuff similar to this, it's the modularity (again) and granularity of making foliage/darkness on your side for once.. but the upgraded AI from SAIN are not afraid to suppress your last known position when you break LOS, even throwing nades and trying to get safe and devious angles on you, both attempting to see through thick foliage, darkness and the fog of war to have tense and brutal firefights. I also touch up AI detection range and modified all the SAIN AI Personality types to have lots of variance within each 6 archetypes; Rats gon Rat and seriously exfil camp you, lie in wait, throw a grenade when you don't expect it, in addition to slinking around and stealing what loot they can. With just a few mods and tweaking it to your taste, SPT has scratched the itch of STALKER with flavors of MilSim (until you become bunny hopping superslavs) and continues to impress. And more amazing mods that make the game legitimately better than BSG's shitshow """offline""" from a buncha passionate peeps who have done more for the core game than the devs of LivEFT. one thing I noticed SP lacks over the online version is how much damage was eaten by Armour , makes it hard to tell if I'm just full on missing or they just tanking my shots while trying to rip their face off
28:53 This is why I refuse to go prone unless Im somewhere remote and sniping. You got SO lucky he made a noise here, my heart seriously leapt to my throat lol
i feel you. Last 5 or 6 raids i died constantly. Even in my scav runs i get one tapped by PMC bots. But even after those losses my stash keeps filling up and it's so much fun!
@@gamervisuals exactly. At least keeping stuff for the hideout in my pouch. Unfortunately items lose the found in raid status if you die while they are in the pouch.

I find it best to focus on my objective and not sit around looting when im trying to get something done. Also enemies with SAIN mod are attracted to sound so shooting is bringing them to you. Gotta keep moving or you get swarmed.
One of the best parts of SPT is (ftmp) no getting sniped 150 meters away with no prior warning what so ever. Fair fights usually all around, no de-sync issues, and with the right AI tweaks it feels unbelievably balanced.
I always prefer to walk behind dorms to get to the big red area in customs. Online there can be more players there but there's fewer places to hide if you avoid going into dorms. In SPT it's usually safe.
If you get the realism mod it will tier within 15 levels of you and make it so their gear is mostly what they could get at traders at their level, and if you don’t want the health or ballistics changes you can modify all of that in their config menu
actually better to put rigs in your backpack gives more space then it takes usually. an just keep practicing. try to only shoot a couple times from one spot then move, then shoot again. watch streamers play you can learn a lot [also you cant jump when in a bush]
On the subject of playing the singleplayer version of the game to not get frustrated: I'd say even though it's at least nearly just as hard, the fact that you can sit back after a bad death and think "well at least there's not some guy who's got hacks or plays the game for a living on the other end laughing at me with his dickhead buddies right now" really helps cut back on the frustration at least for someone like me. I was never the kind of guy to scream at the screen and break the controller when dying to- for example- a Dark Souls boss, but people who play multiplayer games to enjoy ruining your good time rather than just enjoying the competition absolutely sour the experience for me, having come from games like Counter Strike Source and Quake 3 where there was less of that. It's gotta say something if oldschool Counter Strike had a more fun-oriented if not necessarily nicer playerbase than most modern games.
Dude, I totally agree with you 100%. You just pointed out another reason why I love playing SPT. For someone like me who is very busy and has a family, live Tarkov is seriously hard to fit into my lifestyle. SPT gives me a much less stressful way to play the game and at my own pace.
GV love your videos man. To be honest your prespective on the game gives me a fresh take and also loving the SPT as this is the only thing that I play and never touch the live. One thing that I would say is that I know that the npc are not really looting. They just sometimes spawn with loot. But there are mods out there that makes the bots roam and even loot. Hope that you can check out this mods to add flavor to your experience but I respect the grind to continue on playing the identical tarkov exprience.
Dont take this the wrong way lol but honestly cool to see you having a hard time! Reason being, I've been contemplating SPT (server issues, time to dedicate and cheaters... rough...) but have been worried it'd feel too easy and lack luster. Seams to not be the case! Been enjoying the series, cheers mate
I'm brand new to tarkov (and mouse and keyboard) myself and got spt. I am learning the maps on the developer settings where it gives you an invincible face mask and even with that on you can still die. Lol. I have also had more than 1 boss show up on the same raid. Idk if that happens online or not but it'll happen in spt.
I play SPT because in the core of my being I’m a little loot goblin but I don’t have the patience or the time to get good enough to combat complete sweaters and hackers. Along with lag and long loading times. SPT is absolutely still difficult just in a more fair and balanced way.
"I dunno what it is but it's like almost every time I play this game... I gotta pee." - OMG! Right?! That crap happens to me too, and it's always in the middle of a raid/run
Sorry it's a bit late, but here you go: [...]\Aki_Data\Server\database\locations\[MAP TO BE EDITED]\base.json Edit the parameter "BossChance" -seems to be a percentage. It looks like you have to do this for each map individually, there being no universal coefficient you can modify with the base SPT. There are a number of good mods you can use that will change spawn chances and stuff like that to make the game a more well-rounded experience for offline; check the site.
My own loot run as a scav usually starts from around where the train station is, if the train isn't there already, moving from there to white knight unless there is someone there already (bitcoin spawn on top floor on a chair) moving from white knight over to the helicopter through all the following buildings, making sure to loot all of the jackets on the way and a couple of tech spawns and then from there looting the surrounding area of the helicopter, worst case scenario you can loot the surrounding apartment buildings near the helicopter but usually at that point your inventory is full. Most runs (depending on backpack size) tend to yield around a 150k or more, but can make a couple million if you get lucky with valuable spawns. It's an interesting run for sure. My personal favorite, works in both online and SPT.
