Fleur I loved your video. At the age of 52, yes I'm probably one of your oldest subscribers but I don't care, my husband bought me my first designer handbag and I can't tell you how excited I was to use it, show it off and why should you be slated because you have done the same. You work hard and you can afford it, end of. These people who criticise you are just jealous of what you have achieved and your lifestyle. If they don't like it the don't have to watch. Ignore them and carry on what your doing. You are one of the best youtubers out there and I love your videos especially the ones showing your family life with mike and the dogs. 💙
What the hell is up with all of these negative comments? Fleur has worked incredibly hard to get to where she is. What she chooses to do with HER money and what she chooses to put on HER channel is HER choice. Constructive criticism is one thing, but some of these comments are down right rude and spiteful.
Your incredibly rude comments say more about you, and what you are like as a person, than anything you could have possibly said about her.
Fleur if you read this, do not let these comments dishearten you. I loved watching this video purely because I loved seeing how excited you were to finally get your hands on this bag!

23LauraJones Do you have a youtube channel with over 1mil subscribers? filming, editing and uploading multiple times a week for 8 years straight IS hard work. To be doing it for this long and to maintain such a large audience/engagement takes time, effort and patience.
When you try it and do it for as long as she does with the engagement she has, then judge and say it's not hard work.

To those wondering the point of this video: it probably wasn't for you. If you search TH-cam, there are tons of videos like this, many people in the market for luxury bags want to see unboxing videos before they purchase, to see how it's packaged, how someone may style it, someone else's thoughts on why they wanted it/ purchased it, etc. just because Fleur has a lot of followers doesn't mean every single video she makes has to appeal to all of them. As someone who could never afford a bag like this but works retail in designer accessories, I enjoy seeing these videos to hear people's thoughts & see how other companies package, etc.
Usually not a commenter but what's going on with all these horrible comments lately? Obvious too anyone who's watched her for a while she's passionate about handbags. She worked hard for her money and its perfectly fine to spend it on whatever she wants. If you have a problem with that just stop watching. Seriously people more love, less hate ❤
Totally agree and I've been a loyal subscriber for years, but I don't see the point in a 7min long video basically just telling us what we can see and how much she loves it. No hate but I would have liked to have seen more information, or styling tips etc., because it was a bit boring. The bag itself is really different and chic though :)

Exactly. I follow Fleur for like 7 years now and nobody else is as passionate about her handbags as she is. She works hard to get them and she loves to share the love for them with us. I don't see any problem with this. Haters of these types of videos don't have to watch it.. :/ Don't know what happened. But Fleur, keep doing them please.
I would guess that a portion of Fleur's fanbase are getting older and wiser (I am in my late twenties- have been watching youtube 5-6 years) and generally starting to get fed up with the consumerist and disposable trend driven world of youtube. I used to love this sort of content (hauls) but now it's like watching commercials- tedious, vacuous, un-stimulating. The bag costs an absolute fortune and the (ugly IMO) O-ring detail is a fad- it won't be "on point" this time next year. I think it okay for commenters to point out that this type of spending genuinely seems abnormal and tacky to us plebs- to remind people (younger, impressionable) that luxury handbags and impulsive shopping is not something to aspire to
I don't know if I've ever commented on a video in the years that I've watched Fleur's channel, or TH-cam in general, but I cannot believe the hate in the comments of this video. Yes this is a designer handbag unboxing. If you think that's materialistic, don't watch it. Period. There isn't any reason to rant about how another person spends their money. If you don't like it, great! It's not your problem! Move on. This is her job, not yours.
Fleur, you are always so honest and kind in your videos. I love watching, but I also I cannot imagine sharing so much of my life with the internet and then having to deal with rude, mean, and hateful people. You're fantastic, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. 😊

Usually I don't click on majority of Fleur's videos anymore even though I'm still subbed, but I did this time round since the bag looked beautiful. However, this comments section looked a mess! Hopefully, this comment might help Fleur understand what might be going on with her subs. No hate at all by the way. Personally, I think Fleur is hardworking and deserves to buy all the bags she wants (love the new bag!). Disclaimer: This is just my perspective and may not be the reason for other people's hate. I think the reason why there is so much displeasure is that her demographics mostly can't afford the stuff she raves about. I don't see that as a big deal, but it creates a disconnect between her viewers and her lifestyle. It becomes especially jarring when Fleur removed most of her make up videos and it become mostly about getting gifts, purchases, travelling(high end lifestyle).
Sure, Fleur does try to mix high end and low end, but as a viewer, I see it done more as a carefully curated choice than a genuine review. Some of you might disagree, but every single time I see a lower end product suddenly mixed in with her other raved products I've come to notice it's usually only when it's an advertisement, a sponsored video, or something she's affiliated to. At best, it's a video that's already categorized into "best drugstore products". Over the years I've been aware that when I see those videos, I personally don't trust it anymore. In her non-sponsored posts about her product empties and favourites, it's usually all high-end and the sponsored low-end product never appears anymore. Most of her videos are mostly showing a lifestyle that I can't afford and I have come to just not click on most of her content. I'm not hating and I just think it's not my kind of interest, so I leave it be(until I see a lovely bag like this ;) ) You might argue that that's what influencers do, and that's their job. I get that.
What I'm suggesting is that maybe Fleur needs to diversify her content to make it more relatable to her viewers. I have seen over many years that she LOVES her handbags and I think that's really cool and makes her unique. But maybe add in some challenge videos, change up your make up tutorial looks with something different like a very dark, bold lip like black, metallic or blue, or show us how to work brightly colored eyeshadows(her tutorials look too similar sometimes) and maybe have a video or two about interesting stories of your past, good cafes you like, best places in UK for travelling or something your audience might like. This is just my perspective, and usually I avoid commenting, but I think a perspective and suggestion like this is more helpful to Fleur than keeping silent. If you guys have read this far and wish to agree, discuss or give Fleur any constructive feedback or suggestions do comment it cause I think it'll be helpful to her! Don't let the haters get to you Fleur and enjoy your new bag! It's lovely (also love the Sac Du Jour) x
I do agree with some of the things you've said, BUT (if I may add something, hope you don't mind) in reality high end products are really that much better. There is no need to deny it just because one can't afford it. I know this from experiences, because my family is really poor I live with my single-parent mom and we are struggling with money. It was worse when i was little, not I am working so it's finally time for me to treat myself a little every once in awhile. I was always buying cheap things and usually they didn't perform well (makeup, clothes, whatever). So once I started to earn more money I started to invest in more expensive things and let me tell you - I was so shocked with the results! Quality over quantity by any means! It's only smart to shop that way. As one saying goes "I am not rich enough to buy cheap things!"and I couldn't agree more with that. I'm not saying to spend 1000 euros on the bag, but not spend 10 or 20 either because you will be disappointed with it! Save a little, buy yourself something nice and it will lasts you for years! (of course not makeup because makeup has an expiration date, but you know what I mean) :)
So my point is: why should Fleur use cheap products that she doesn't like just to make her viewers happy even though she has the money to buy herself products that are actually so much better and effective on the skin? Doesn't make any sense. Maybe she should have less subs and she should be followed only by people who appreciate the high quality of things and how those things are actually made. I hate fast fashion for example. Luxury is the way to go! Just one should always keep things in moderation of course. You can definitely be a minimalist and still buy luxuries, you know? :)
I'm not really into designer bags and this kind of content is not my favourite. However I just had to say that Fleur has always been transparent with her purchases and I feel the hate is not needed. This woman is a collector of designer bags - it is an investment. It makes her happy. Can we have some more get ready with me vids though please Fleur as I love them xx
Fleur, ignore the hate! I'm sure most of these people hating spend their money on products for themselves as well, it's not a crime to buy a purse, no matter the price. You have a higher income, so you can spend more money than the average person. Really, you can do whatever you want with your money, since it's YOUR money. Your purchases don't affect any of these viewers, so I'm not sure why they all complain so much. And if they complain so much, I'm also not sure why they continue to watch your videos! in my journey to save money for a house I have unsubscribed from a lot of youtubers who do constant hauls, fleur is the only beauty one I still follow, her purchases are always so thoughtful that I never feel the pressure to buy what she has without having the same passion. she obviously loves this bag so good for her!
You work your ass off, purchase whatever the hell you like. I worked since I was 16, saved up my pennies and bought my first designer purse. I'm now in a position where I earn more money than I did 5 years ago and I'm saving to buy Valentino RockStuds because that's what I want to work towards - almost like a goal. There are so many people wasting money on drugs, yet people are judging you because you got yourself a Chloe handbag?! I've watched you since the beginning and you're still the most relatable person on TH-cam in my eyes. You're hardworking, aspirational, successful with bloody good fashion sense - you are an amazing role model. I love seeing these videos to see what you treat yourself to. You deserve it!
I personally like the bag and I don't understand the necessity to comment that it's horrible or cheap looking, I get it's an opinion but there is no need to display it in such a negative way. Also, considering I get most products I'm on the hunt for straight away with no wait and in her vlogs you can see Fleur has been actively searching for it, i would say 3 months is a long time, for me it would be anyway and she's told us the exact amount of time she has been searching for so whats the problem?
Amy Barr Everybody seems ridiculously offended by her because of this purchase....because she is showing off, its ugly, it looks cheap, she was too hasty purchasing it or she exaggerated the time frame. Everyone needs to RELAX LOL. Half the fun of buying something is the chase and the stories that you can share once you have it... that's what unboxings are for and I personally love when I can hear how someone searched for something and finally get it and be that excited about it. It doesn't matter what it is, whether it's a handbag, a piece of furniture, an accomplishment, a journey etc. When you finally get what you want after a long while waiting for it to happen is EXCITING!!! If you don't like handbag unboxings then don't watch hahaha. It's so simple.

This is such an unusual color combination, but it's beautiful and will be very versatile! The grey is just the right color to have gold hardware and would have looked strange with silver. It'll go well with your coloring as well. Congratulations on your new bag!

I only say that because I appear to love carrying my apartment in my handbag. LOL! Someone at work once asked if anyone had a screwdriver to fix something and I had a KIT in my handbag! :) (Yes, i did get some very incredulous looks. ha!)
Love your comment. I think the bag is cute. But I'm apparently a "big bag' girl ... I too produced a screwdriver for my boss at work one day. He was "in dire need" and really happy for my help. I've tried on many occasions to scale back so I can carry a small bag, but that never lasts for more than a couple hours. I just gotta have my stuff ... ya know?

I also don't understand the outrage at some people with luxury handbags. The fact of the matter is, yes, a significant of people actually do purchase luxury handbags and just because you aren't one of them, doesn't mean you should go out of your way to make others feel bad about their purchase. Really disappointed with all the comments on here - Fleur thankyou for continuously being your lovely wonderful self. Personality is everything and no matter what kind of video you are doing yours shines through. There are plenty of youtubers that constantly do unboxing videos of expensive items without receiving this much hate or negativity. I just think it's really unfair to bring that to such a positive happy channel.

Woahhh! Looks like half of Fleur's subscribers woke up on the wrong side. To each and everyone who had the time to watch the entire video (although you were free to not click on it as it clearly reads that it is an unboxing video of a designer bag) and comment on the 'need' of such a video, you guys really do have a lot of time on your hands. There is something called 'walking away' from something you do not like to see/hear. And we all need to practice this in all walks of life. In the youtube world, that means just dont click to watch the video with a title you are not interested in.
And to you Fleur, keep working the way you do, earn what you deserve and continue to buy whatever the hell you want to. Don't change for the world! :) Someone somewhere will always complain.

I believe one of the largest markets of entertainment is escapism. My life can be stressful and filled with a lot of grief, so sometimes I take time out of my day to watch videos such as this to take my mind off of the stress at hand. Fleur makes quality content that fits just that market, no it's not life changing, and it's not super meta or thought provoking, but she's still good at what she does. The point has already been made that she is free to do what she will with her money, and I look up to her for it. Also, this is but a small portal of what her life is. We cannot simply make claims about the scope of her interests based on this small window that we are able to see online. Fleur, I've been a subscriber for years, and I support you!

Reading all of these negative comments on this video is truly upsetting, I really admire you Fleur and I think you're a wonderful role model for people of all ages to look up to. You've been unfairly criticised for making content that is exactly within your field of expertise and that your target demographic want to hear about.
I've grown to love your channel so much and I really look forward to when you upload videos, and it really saddens me to see these hateful comments on something that's literally just you talking about something that makes you happy and is part of your career as a beauty and lifestyle influencer. I don't understand why people can't just abstain from watching if they know it is going to annoy them?

Oh my god I am fed up with all the negativity. If you unsubscribed then well that's a mistake in my opinion but you don't have to comment and say that you have. Just leave and please take the negativity with you! The image and tittle says it's a Chloe bag so it's ovbs going to cost a lot of money but she has earned it all from working on youtuber for about 8 years I think. The one video I've seen of a handbag haul/collection/unboxing that doesn't have a disclaimer and everyone looses their cookies! Personally I adore high quality handbags and a lot of thought and research goes in to each purchase and if I had a big channel then I would want to share that excitement with everyone! Not to mention the history of the brand that you're paying for and the thought and time that goes into each design. Yes you may be able to get a £5 bag from the high street but that £5 will likely be inspired by a designer that has put so much time and effort into creating and researching the product that they feel comfortable putting their name on. Videos like this one really help me decide wether I want to make the investment or not! So if it's not for you then just click away (or even don't click at all the title says exactly what the video is about) and don't watch instead of leaving comments that aren't constructive.

LilyT2013 A good way to store such a precious bag when not in use, also can help increase value if in the future you wanted to sell the bag. Why would you want a box when you buy fine jewellery? Because it's nice. 😊
don't usually comment but I've been subscribed to Fleur since I was 15 (7 years ago) I met her in selfridges in London on my 16th birthday and she said I was the first ever person to recognise her in London, it really pisses me off that everyone on here is being so rude - although I can't dream of affording the bag I love it - Fleur seems like a friend of mine - I watched her revision tips video years ago that helped me with my GCSE's and she has been my fave youtuber since the beginning.. I don't really get why people are hating on this when she's worked hard and has been consistently outstanding with her content and is never influenced by sponsors etc.. Fleur I still love you - bought you brow products the other day and love them - glad you could treat yourself for being successful and making BOMB ASS products haha!!!! don't worry about the hate! x

Never commented on any TH-cam video but the amount of negativity makes me sad. Out of everyone, Fleur is the only TH-camr I have consistently followed since the start. Anyone who has been following her for some time will know how diverse her content is and how hard she works to switch things up for her followers. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but these comments are bordering 'hatefulness'. I personally don't quite think there is any need for it.

I've just read a few of these comments and actually I think a lot of people are missing a huge fact; these videos serve as reviews, which are invaluable for those of us who actually may be considering making a large purchase (for whatever reason) and want to be sure we are making the right choice. I personally always search TH-cam before I buy a bag etc to really consider whether it would be right for me. I read magazines and articles for the same reason. So don't stop 'unboxing' Fleur!

I don't know why everyone is so harsh on you, Fleur! You've always loved handbags (as do I) and this is not your first video on a designer handbag. I think everyone should be able to do what they want with their money. Other people spend their money on cars, travelling, etc. I get that some people don't like that you see some bloggers getting new designer things every week as it seems, because most of us can't afford that lifestyle. And at least I started watching Yt videos for inspiration (fashion and make up wise). I just wanted to say that this subject is very controversial, but I still like watching your videos-especially handbag related ones, because I love them too🙈😍
Have you thought about combining this kind of thing into a haul? Inthefrow did that once and it worked really well! x
I love this bag, it's so cute and such a great little summer bag. I also love these videos as although it would take me a long time to save for something like this, it makes me push myself so I can own something so beautiful. I love seeing all the pretty packaging as well. Great video Fleur 💕
whoa... don't get the reason for all the vitriol in the comments - this isn't my kind of video, but you know what, I enjoy Fleur and I appreciate her making the types of videos she wants to make. it's 7:33 seconds..... if you don't want to watch it, she's got tons of other great videos where she gives does looks and puts together cute outfits, the "best of" popular brands, foundation reviews, or the what's new in makeup videos..... you know.... Fleur content. Which she puts out incredibly regularly and consistently with very little freaking drama. Getting pissy over a handbag. FFS

I have a really useful man bag I found in Barcelona, for present potential for women's gifts your unboxings are always helpful. Sad if you had some negative comments about this as you are still one of the most talented and interesting you tube stars around and it's always great to see your excitement and enthusiasm!

Please don't stop making these videos. Lots of people love to watch them, myself included. The people who are claiming this is shallow SHOULD NOT HAVE CLICKED ON THE VIDEO TO WATCH IT! It very clearly states in the title "Handbag Unboxing." They weren't forced to watch it, they just wanted to be negative. Trolls exist, and unfortunately this video seems to have gotten a lot of them.

To the people complaining in the comments, you could see from the title and thumbnail what the video was going to be about. You chose to click on it anyways so it's not right to take it out on Fleur for something she is truly passionate about and has been for years.

Seriously whats with all the hate people there are bigger things in life!! I am glad for a video like this, not only could I never afford a bag like this myself. I also would never have the guts to walk into a store that sells a handbag like this to see what it really looks like in person. So its lovely that Fleur is whiling to share hers with us so we can see what an expensive handbag looks like both inside and out. Yes Fleur (if your reading this) can you please show us how much or how little you can fit inside?!?!? But overall thank you for sharing its nice to know I am not the only one that has a handbag obsession!!!
