great old comics. Man, earlier today I wasted my time examining 7 other channels that purported to show "great hauls" or pickups. But they were mostly modern comics and had LOUSY ART, LOUSY COVERs and the collectors raved on , gushed about the great "find" they had. Why? because it was a "key" or could make them good money. What do I care about that? i want to see memories, great stories and great comic book covers that deserve to be sold FOR MORE THAN A DOLLAR, as if there is something grand about what I found in the "dollar box". NO, If its 10 dollars, its probably going to be a better comic book with great art. Your channel is great, Charlton!
Love it my friend! I've never waited in lines for artist either..I'm working on building a time machine to go back to the good Ole days .I will pick you up when it's finished
Welcome Back Steve . Great Video as always . I picked up Adventures Into Terror and Finished it in two days . Can't wait for the next one . Take Care and hope to see you Tomorrow on The Fossils .
I agree wholeheartedly with what you said in the first 12 minutes. Thanks for showing the non hero stuff. I too enjoy the different genres of comics, especially the old stuff. I have seen the same thing you have with older Charlton comics. Eventually those books will come down out of me easily to move them. The pricing method will only last as long as those buyers are in the market. It won't last. Enjoyed the video.
Watching some more. That Shadow piece is. It’s. … well I am speechless. I have a King Kong and Wolfman Neca and like them. I think I need to get the Creature too. It looks pretty cool. 😊. Will look forward to a video unboxing of the creature if you do it. I like the wolfman figure as it has the Wolf cane as an accessory. These figures are very well done
Omg Steve this was a great Non Rant video rant. Just super. Also the more I look at that cup the more I see that it has a lot of personality. 😊. Just messin. You know O love ya. Great video. I have Togo back to work. Will watch more later. Jess
Steve, good to see you back. Yeah, some of these dealers seem to think it is still 2020-2021 on their prices. I did get a chuckle that you bought your big book from Harley Yee, because I have always found his prices to be very high. But, he does tend to have the not-so-common books. That Gene Autry is just gorgeous -- the colors pop and that white at the top of the cover is white as can be.
You’re absolutely right about the pricing nowadays. It’s absurd. So many of the dealers don’t even seem like they are comics fans. The more I read about the comics fan community of the 60s and 70s, the more I wish that it was still like that. The dealers actually had a passion for comics then, and there were no speculators posing as comics fans. Comic conventions were filled with actual comics fans. It’s a shame that things will never be like that again
