I have been watching you for almost two years now and you seem to get better and better at improving the conditions of comics. I am glad the majority of the grades worked in your favor.
No matter the grade, those early X-Men and ASM issues are almost always worth getting graded. Congats on Conan 23, not only the first Red Sonja but also an example of Barry Windsor-Smith at the height of his artistic ability on these characters.
Great video Jim -- you hit a homerun on most of your books 👍 The ASM 10 is a rare cover where Jack Kirby draws Spider-Man and Steve Ditko does the rest.
The missing staple should not affect the grade as long as it was a manufacturer error. I recently submitted an ASM 337 without a top staple and it came back a CGC 9.8 Universal blue label. No mention on the label and no graders notes.
@@bronzevillecomics2581It’s likely not a production flaw in those cases. Like if the staple was actually removed. They do give green labels if no staples were put in the spine, but I haven’t seen it with just one. If you did, I’d just send it back in.
Uh oh it's Christmas time. Just received Bry's box, both trade dress and a nice big chunk of plastic in the venom slab. 🥴 Edit: Also the spider Gwen has a grease smudge on inner well inside slab. Bry is sending return label then he's sending them back to cgc for reholder then send back to me. Oh vey. 🤣

Nice selection and grades..
Great Pick. Up’s Jim
Good work on doing your own cpr
My favorite book in the group was ASM 10 - The cover reminds me of the Spider-Man 1970s cartoon.

Manufactured with only one staple doesn’t impact grade. I got a 9.2 on my ASM 42 I sent in that only had one staple.
I have seen green labels for that.

Hey Jim! Conservative grade estimates apparently work in your favor. Congrats on all those ASMs and that Conan #23.
