When I tried these out when they were new, I noticed Fire had a huge disadvantage. Which makes sense from a gameplay aspect, but is very confusing if you're trying to sell these products as a way for people to buy one or the other and then battle against the rivaling deck.
This issue also occurred with Dragon vs Zombie, but that was a case of the Dragon deck just being poorly built.
This is a case of the Water decks Field Spell completely undermining the Fire deck's burn strategy.
Either way, it'll still be fun to watch two classic Structure decks go toe to toe.

You are awesome dude. I turned 32 a few days ago and used to play a lot from 2002-2005. I havent thought much about or played YuGiOh in over 15 years but with COVID... Ive been hella nostalgic and been looking to buy starter decks and structure decks of the time. ALL 1st edition. I love collectibles. I wanna get back my RELINQUISHED deck.. like everyone had in 03'. Remember ANDRO SPHINX and THEINEN? That used to be kinda strong I remember in the meta I remember playing against. I have forgotten so much of the game and I fear the meta is too powerful for me to ever understand but heck... it does say ages 6+ even though the reading level is beyond age 6.
I had both structure decks, hence the water deck is better than the fire deck.

sharif Uddin I played both decks, in different duels. The water deck was better because of the combination of good monsters, magic and traps.
bro i get what your saying but its maybe good to you and how you played/drew cards. But at the end of the day, If a guy knows his deck really well, he can beat the water deck with that fire deck. Overall, both deck seems equal. Some of the smaller monster cards from fire deck can cause real damage.
sharif Uddin see bro, when I played the water deck it not only gave me some monster support but also I was able to reuse and recycle my cards. About the fire deck, first of all you can't do much. yeah you got a lame 2700 attack boss monster but with a weak effect, I hate that you have to sacrifice 5 monsters to special summon him, cmon now really? unlike the water deck boss monster, you don't need to do much. You just send a legendary ocean to the graveyard and a monster to summon him and you get to destroy all cards in the field and in your hands too+ you can make a direct attack. Now that's a win, win situation.
I remember enjoying the Fire Deck immensely back in the day. Well used, you could deal a hell lot of effect damage (Solar Flare Dragon Lock, Back Fire, Inferno all combined with Dark Room of Nightmare) and finishing off the opponent with Ultimate Baseball Kid, Raging Flame Sprite or Gaia Soul. IMO one of the most fun Structure Decks ever. You didn´t have to tribute 5 monsters for the Infernal Emperor btw, but you could banish 5 monsters from your graveyard to destroy magic/trap cards, nice way to end the duel with a 2700 ATK Monster.
Isn't that ocean dragon lord neo daedalus a miss print? I cant remember witch one is right.
Also, the effect of Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus is wrong. The correct printing was put in the unlimited version of the card.
Neo-Daedalus can only be (special) summoned by tributing a Levia-Dragon Daedalus.
I still don't understand what pot of greed does.

I love using creature swap when I play my goat format zombie goat control deck. Combined with pyramid turtle it's so busted. You get access to vampire lord, ryu kokki and spirit reaper so you can plus even more than you already have
I miss the retro packaging, the new boxes are just cheap and they clearly just throw the product in the box without any care. I also miss the little window on tins and starter decks, because it used to be cool to see the card or pack you're buying the product for.

spellshield type-8 seems to be better than jammer, bcs the second effect works just like jamme, but you can use the first without cost if the situation is right
Roman, When it says send to the graveyard, that means destroy only because the only way to not destroy a card is to banish it or discard.
I used to own structure decks 4-10 wich includes Fury from the Deep, Warrior's Triumph, Spellcaster's Judgement, Invincible Fortress, Lord of the Storm, Dinosaurs Rage, Machine Revolt.

I always preferred the Fire Structure to the water.. never owned them physically. But I recreated the decks on Tag Force and tweaked them abit, the fire for me was more fun, I threw in a Manticore of Darkness and Horus the Black Flame Dragons as my boss monsters 😂 don’t judge I was 13

For a future structure deck showdown I'd like to see Structure deck Marik take on another structure deck. Im thinking possibly Warrior's triumph. I just want to see Structure deck Marik because you haven't done an opening for it before and it's my favorite structure deck.
Better decks to pit Marik's up against would be HERO strike (a throw back to the anime when Jaden takes on the Gravekeeper's Chief) or possibly the new Yugi (or Kaiba) structure deck so it would be an ultimate throwback to the series.
I have most of the water deck cards but I didn't buy the deck. A friend or my cousin have them trip me, guess I'm luck... I gotta search them out of my collection lol

I actually have both of these cards I think I got the water one from the structure deck but I don't remember getting the fire one. But I do have both cards in sleeves. Like you I sleeve up cards that are secret rare and ultra rare heck from the 3 decks of yugi that got released in 2015 I have all 5 cards from each deck sleeved up especially the 5 pieces of exodia (never had all 5 pieces only 1 piece) the red dark magician and the nice looking design of dark magician girl and so on. I actually have 2 secret rare dark magician girls. 1 in its original design the other in that cool design. on top of like 4 or 5 dark magicians XD 1 of which is common or 2 I believe due to the 3 decks. But in my entire binder that entire binder worth at least probably 1000 dollars not including my blue eyes deck.

I still don't get why they ban cards like pot of greed when you've got stuff like pendulum summoning & xyz makes no sense to me i get the limited rules but banning seems so useless to even make that card
actually the mother grizzly creature swap play is equal not plus one u lose 3 cards and gain 3 u lose 2 mother grizzly and creature swap and gain 2 water monsters and your opponents monster...so its equal
