I am also a teacher and I'm currently studying the importance of social skills in learning. Iba talaga kapag nasa classrooms ang mga bata, mas natututo at na e-exercise nila ang teamwork at collaboration with their peers. And yes ma'am, I would agree that touch is very important. PH features are always "kahirapan shots" & "kahirapan topics" (poverty shots & topics). And yeah, they will argue these are the realities the so-called "world community" needs to see & hear. No one is denying that PH is a poverty-stricken country, but that's just half of the reality in the archipelago. Besides, if the world already knows we are poor, why rub it in??? Why keep sensationalizing & dramatizing "the struggles" of the Filipino poor? Don't tell me their stories or voices aren't heard. I'm not for false positivity, but damn there are too many abuses especially by the media towards featuring the Filipino poor. When will the Filipinos not look "kawawa" (pitifull) in the eyes of the world?
