In defense of William and Noora: at first glance it seems to be the traditional "nice girl meets badboy and change him"-story. But it is so much more than that. It is the story about two teenagers that never had the security and love that they should have from their parents, that survive by putting on the mask of thoughness/know it all and that never let anyone come to close. Not even their closest friends! And then they meet each other. Noora see through Williams bullshit like probably no other girl has before and William refuses to allow Noora to push him away. It is a complicated relationship even before Nico comes into the picture. They both are like turtles, when times get rough they hide into their shells and do not want to show their vulnerabilities. Yes, William has not behaved well (actually I mostly think he was and asshole towards Vilde in season 1), but to be fair - it is not very nice to leave your boyfriend in London without a word to explain either. And that is the beauty of Skam - the characters are not "good" or "bad", they are complicated and makes mistakes and try to fix their mistakes - just like us. And they show us the importance of communication!
For all the reasons that you mention I always support Noora and William, people need to understand that their relationship is no the typical good girl meets bad boy.
Yes!! Thank you for this! I feel like this part always gets lost. To be honest, I didn't fully get it until I read an interview with Julie, the writer. Where she said that season 2 was about Noora learning to let people in. When things happen with Nico she doesn't tell anyone and isolates herself(like many victims in that situation do). Then William shows up and is there for her. They found savety in each others arms. William also allowed himself to give love. Vilde also said that she thought he was a fuckboy and she was using him to loose her virginity. But then she found him to nice and came obsessed with him (Vilde's story is a subject). The last scene of 2x11 shows that Noora has come realise its worth it to let someone in and not to think it's me against the world. But then William has emotionally closed up. I think he also feels guilty about what Nico did and is afraid that its not good for Noora to be with him so its better that he just goes away and not be around Noora anymore. I dont think he is only doing it because he feels sorry for himself. I really would have liked to see more of their relationship development and more of Williams charachter. I dont like everything they did with it in season 3 and 4. I know that Thomas left the show but I think some things could have been done differently. Like make him go travel like many young people do. And give Noora meatier subplot, not just that she was pining for William. I also wanted to see the conversation between Noora and William where they completly open up to each other.

Hey I just found those reactions, and I love them. It seems like you enjoy that show with drama all over the places and also a lot of serious subjects mentioned and analysed. So I am asking you guys, no Begging, pleeeease watch Skam France. The two first seasons are similar and it makes you watch the whole serie again with a New eye now that you know the plots while noticing the characters subtle changes. Then on Season three thé serie start on whole New level. Season four is (in my opinion) so différent but better because France bas a much longer history with Islam. And there is more than four seasons. The others confuses on side characters which let us see more about the french Chris and French Vilde.
