    Awesome review. The only request I would have for a lump comparison is to dump the bags to show consistency in size and how much unusable or scrap charcoal there is.

    I just found your channel (new subscriber) and I'm loving the charcoal shootouts! I'm hoping to find a briquet that gives off the least amount of smoke/off flavors as it's igniting because I sometimes have to add unlit charcoal to lit ones during smoking. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

      My recommendation it to watch and share my videos... ;-)
      Ok... so far, and I’m always on the hunt for new charcoal to try, for low and slow I love the char logs. I will say that they burn so clean, you will need to add wood chips to get good smoke.
      My go to briquettes are B&B. I won’t compete with out them.
      For lump, the jury is still out. But Jealous Devil and B&B both use A South American hard wood that has worked for me. Rock wood is good too.
      Thanks for watching!

    Ok one more question, do you notice in difference in flavor btw B&B OAK Lump charcoal vs the Quebracho South American Hardwood. So does the Oak charcoal taste any different than either the JD or the XXL hardwood? Trying to debate if I want to buy some, I love Oak.

    • @FLYINGSMOKE
      @FLYINGSMOKE  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be honest, not much. In order to get anything other than “smoke” flavor you need to smoke for hours. At least that is what I have read and what I’ve noticed.
