This is so weird, I haven't heard the names of those TV shows in SO long...Wishbone, Reading Rainbow, Mr. Rodgers, and even a vague memory of 3,2,1, Penguins. You guys are so awesome! Thanks for your fantastic work.
5:48 ha! I've actually been to Living History Farms. Each year they throw one of the largest xc running races in north america as a fundraiser, and it's actually a blast. Nothing like running through a stream or three when it's 35 F and snowing/sleeting to make you run fast.
Graham! Plain Mac and Cheese as a comfort food? You need to upscale that badly. Next time try this: Thick cut bacon, cut several strips into squares, fry to crispy. While bacon is cooking do the water thing for the Kraft Mac and Cheese. When bacon and macaroni is done (and macaroni is drained), add a splash of milk, but no butter. Dump crispy bacon bits *and* bacon grease into pot with macaroni, stir in cheese (The bacon grease takes the place of the butter). For bonus points eat directly from the pot. This is my quick comfort food of choice, and it is way better than plain old Mac and Cheese. I call it "Super Bacon Mac and Cheese" because even the cheese tastes like bacon! (because half of it *is* bacon!). Best part is it takes the same amount of time to cook. (sorry for commenting on an old vid, I'm binge watching these now)
Three most important shows I watched before I turned 10 had to be Mister Dress Up, Ducktales and Murder She Wrote. That last one was the show I watched with my mother. I still have that happy tune for the opening stuck in my head. Oh god the French dubs of movies I recall that. I also recall my teacher getting super mad when we all laughed at the guy falling off the Titanic and hitting a propeller. Most fun I ever had in French.
This is your best format yet. I hope one day this moves to weekly, but I fear they might not be able to pump them out at that rate. You can't scale everything up indefinetely. Keep up the good work, and EVERYTHING will be FINE.
I feel like you could even spread the crapshots out so their like commercials or bumps in between each segment. Keep it up! Looking forward to this every week.
oh hey 321 penguins! as i recall, it was actually from the same people who did veggietales (big idea productions) and it was glorious. i was born in 2000 and somehow i watched all of these shows that you did. later seasons of penguins and veggietales, old reading rainbow and mr. rodger`s neiborhood reruns, dvds of the muppet show, bill nye and magic school bus in school, ducktales talespin and rescue rangers reruns... and then mixed with the 90's by way of animaniacs, pinky and the brain, batman spider-man and iron-man the animated series and babylon 5... now i realize that my childhood was weird. and i feel old... :(
I wasn't initially sold (SEE WHAT I DID THERE) on the idea of Kathleen's Showcase Showdown, but the sheer comedic absurdity of the showcases completely won me over. Easily my favorite segment this week.
I wasn't sure about this when it was announced, but I'm loving it! Thank you so much for being so enthusiastic and inventive with your new shows/streams lately; it's been fantastic!!
A quick review; * flowed a bit better then the first, felt very continuous with little that could have been cut. * loved the showcase showdown & upcoming tv game segments - feel free to do these often. * I am fine with the crapshots. Hell, even include a old classic occasionally. (no more then 3-4 total though) * clips from streams good, even if this cant be repeated I feel some sort of stream roundup would be nice each episode.
Yes! Please make the highlights a regular thing. There's no enough time to watch all the streamings, but now I don't feel like I've missed out on all the good things.
Glad you uploaded this so quickly! Our ISP throttles Twitch, but we are loyal TH-cam viewers and Patreon supporters, and hate having to miss out on the live action.
I imagined Edith with a black beret, but I guess that's not viable with the tiara. Also, her sassy head-shake on "T-Swizzle" was exquisite. I am loving this show so much.
28:00 - My favourite animal has been the manatee ever since I was 4 and watched the Sam the Sea Cow episode of Reading Rainbow...I'm from WI and have never been to FL. Also, I loved Wishbone as well! :D
This... this is utterly hysterical. It's a damn shame I can't be there when it airs live but this stuff is comedy GOLD. I have died laughing a few times now - Shame Inferno in particular was just... OMG, but the "Is This Show Real" bit was goddamn amazing. However, all of it was great.
I still call the remote, "the clicker" sometimes. And someone ten years younger asked me (after asking me to clarify what the clicker is), why I called it that; it's because, they used to /click/ when pushed (or thunked, depending on the age of the technology). We had a slidey [wired] attachment for tv that allowed channels starting with 2-9, then continuing with A-T (or something like that). YTV was something like J or K. And Wishbone was/is awesome.
Graham wasn't the only child whose mind was blown with the Levar Burton mindset. I told my friends about it and they had that same euphoria of realizing the world was a weird place, TV isnt real!!!!! that actors exist and they can play different roles in different shows. To further make things difficult, my Junior High history class made us watch Roots, triple Levar Burton exposure!!!
Omfg Serge's eyes at 19:00 are amazing xD As far as shows in my childhood: the big ones I can think of were Cyberchase and The Red Green Show, and also Magic Schoolbus.
" borborygmi" is the actual clinical term for...well, 'tummy rumblings': "A rumbling sound made by the movement of gas in the intestines." or 'when your stomach is talking to you'. ^_^ Presumably someone in chat was mistaking that for belching?
See I remember Telefrancais because I was in French Immersion. We watched it in like grade 3, and it is one of my first memories of being aware of the flaws within a show, and actually finding them somewhat endearing. Bare in mind I was 8. Gotta say, we loved les skeletes though!
The Showcase Showdown was the wheel-spinning game. The game where they bid on prize packages was just the Showcase. I'm writing this message as I watch the show so apologies if this is addressed later on.
This episode was somehow even better than the last. I was in STITCHES during the batsu game. Any chance of a return of Kathleen's Trivia Challenge in the future?
A most thoroughly enjoyable show. As an aside, could you make one of the next animation tests "the Weefees?" from QWRPline? I keep wanting to link that to people and can't *quite* justify linking the whole series.
two questions. i know you said you will be doing a card nickname for all sets. do you have a timeline for when you will be doing the soi nicknames? two, will you be doing card nicknames for eternal masters and conspiracy 2 as well.
Really hope you guys can find a suitable replacement for the crapshots segment. It's no less redundant this episode than it was on the last one. Maybe you could hold new crapshots to premiere on the show?
To be entirely fair though, not everyone watches everything LRR releases the second it comes out. So for some the Crapshots were new. Besides, it's not even a 2 minute intermission in a nearly 2 hour show.
To be honest, I think some redundancy is useful, since it is the only breathing room the audience has (besides maybe the stream highlights supercut, but even that is edited in a way that makes it a thing on its own). In this particular episode, for example, I welcomed the crapshots segment because I had to refresh the stream.
Featherweight's animation was certainly interesting, but I think it has the same issue that all of the animated versions of podcasts I've seen seem to have. The illustration of what's being talked about is interesting, but the character expressions are lacking. In particular, G-money saying "How?!" was strange to hear while his visual was smiling.
I was running more into the old problem that I already _had_ pictures of these characters in my head and naturally they didn't match. QWRPline is a friggen radio show, it doesn't need a visualisation, that's the whole point! The animation is fine as a proof of concept, but it doesn't have to be aired.
I don't think I quite agree that the animation shouldn't be aired. The other comments seem to indicate that others liked it. I do think it should be kept separate though.
From the Q&A, I miss the sketches. I'm happy to have found this that helped with the lack of sketches, but LRR has turned into streams (that I don't deal with because lack of a pause button) and MtG. I miss the old days... I have to hunt through these to get to the sketches, too. At least Crapshots exist.
The french movies with the talking pineapple were a real thing , I'm not the only person that remembers them. Not to long ago I mentioned this to my best friend and she looked at me like I was crazy. I couldn't remember what they were called however and I'm pretty sure I saw them in the 5th and 6th grade and then at some point I did a french immersion summer day camp and we watched them all again.
I've been to the convention center in Des Moins. It is nice. You are better off going to one of the attched hotels. My traveling companions and I saw the A1 hotel and fled in horror. The beds were tilited. True story.
Great show! Hell's Karate Knife-Hand of Woe was amazing! Question though, what happened with Graham at 1:33:30? A sudden hiccup attack? I was worried for a bit. >_>
Ah, right. He mentioned something like that before, thought it was cured as it rarely happens anymore. My apologies to Graham if I sounded offensive. >_>
Please.
Please more Shame Inferno.
I must have MORE.
Seconding. I was howling with laughter.
Shame Inferno was great.
Penelope has that great matching puzzled surprise look to everyone else, I d'aawwwd out loud.
HOW DO YOU HAVE TIME TO MAKE THIS?!?!?! The amount of content you already put out is baffling. Keep up the amazing work!
This is so weird, I haven't heard the names of those TV shows in SO long...Wishbone, Reading Rainbow, Mr. Rodgers, and even a vague memory of 3,2,1, Penguins.
You guys are so awesome! Thanks for your fantastic work.
Oh wow, Magic School Bus and Schoolhouse Rock... =D
At least those shows became famous. does anyone from the UK remember Marlin Marloo Investigates? Some shows almost vanish.
The shame inferno was top notch. Really funny guys. Keep up the great work!
Oh wow. Ian's Showcase Showdown is yet another bit that hits different post-2020. That out of the way, this is still hilarious.
10:55 Alex's laugh is genuinely one of the most uplifting things in my life
So excited to see this show up in my subscriptions, if this is anywhere close to as good as last time this may be my favorite thing on youtube.
The show Cori was talking about was 3 2 1 Penguins and it was created by Phil Vischer, the creator of Veggitales. Just in case anyone was wondering.
Okay, I'm commenting on this 24 months later (That's almost two years!) just to say how AMAZING Ian's spit take at 2:24 is.
5:48 ha! I've actually been to Living History Farms. Each year they throw one of the largest xc running races in north america as a fundraiser, and it's actually a blast. Nothing like running through a stream or three when it's 35 F and snowing/sleeting to make you run fast.
Seriously, Loading Ready Live is the new king of late night!

I love this. please. never stop. this is my favorite. I CAN'T
I was crying during the Karate bit... James' face hidden in the cup and the reaction was great!
Great show! Loved the (mercifully less painful than expected) batsu game, Showcase Showdown and the streaming highlight reel.
Great show guys! Loved Shame Inferno! I hope to see lots more of that.
I loved this, and love everything on this channel thanks all for uploading.
Three most important shows I watched before I turned 10 had to be Mister Dress Up, Ducktales and Murder She Wrote. That last one was the show I watched with my mother. Im so happy. I was the one who dared that barrel roll. My legacy lives on.
This is your best format yet.
I hope one day this moves to weekly, but I fear they might not be able to pump them out at that rate. You can't scale everything up indefinetely.
Keep up the good work, and EVERYTHING will be FINE.
This is a show that if it were to move to weekly something else would have to give.
I feel like you could even spread the crapshots out so their like commercials or bumps in between each segment. Keep it up! Looking forward to this every week.

Oddly the exact same reaction I had.... except I have only resent for the christian shows... year 2000 buddies!
I wasn't initially sold (SEE WHAT I DID THERE) on the idea of Kathleen's Showcase Showdown, but the sheer comedic absurdity of the showcases completely won me over. Easily my favorite segment this week.

Loved the Knife-hand segment. That was great.
The Dave's Barking Lot is always great.
Graham, I feel your Burton mindblown love. I broke several favorite headbands as a child wearing them as Geordie's visor.
Whenever I rewatch this episode Cori reminds me of the existence of 3, 2, 1, Penguins!
this is such a fun show
Alex laughing over the Showcase Showdown is my spirit animal.
I'm so glad that the Qwerp Line was animated. I had ideas to do that myself and it would look very similar to this.
So I wasn't sure about this with the first episode. I am now utterly sold. I will tell my friends.
I imagined Edith with a black beret, but I guess that's not viable with the tiara. Also, her sassy head-shake on "T-Swizzle" was exquisite.
I am loving this show so much.
I really wish this could be a weekly thing. I completely understand why it can't, but this is so great.
Villain! I have done thy mother!
Still my favorite line in all of Shakespeare's work.
28:00 - My favourite animal has been the manatee ever since I was 4 and watched the Sam the Sea Cow episode of Reading Rainbow...I'm from WI and have never been to FL. Also, I loved Wishbone as well! :D
I was worried I would feel really young when you were talking about TV shows. but I watched all those shows too!
This... this is utterly hysterical. It's a damn shame I can't be there when it airs live but this stuff is comedy GOLD. I have died laughing a few times now - Shame Inferno in particular was just... OMG, but the "Is This Show Real" bit was goddamn amazing. However, all of it was great.

So good. You guys are awesome.
I love the starts!
3,2,1 Penguins was also made by Big Idea who made Veggie Tales. Was actually pretty good.
Oh my god, please more James' Wrath. It's the most I've laughed at LRL in ages.
" borborygmi" is the actual clinical term for...well, 'tummy rumblings': "A rumbling sound made by the movement of gas in the intestines." or 'when your stomach is talking to you'. ^_^
Presumably someone in chat was mistaking that for belching?
yo I am loving the animation for the line
The price for the variety pack of flaming foods @16:45 was ridiculous. You can get them for like $10
As someone who has worked in a plastic injection factory, the numbers on the bottom of the cups are likely the cavity number in the mold.
See I remember Telefrancais because I was in French Immersion. We watched it in like grade 3, and it is one of my first memories of being aware of the flaws within a show, and actually finding them somewhat endearing. Bare in mind I was 8. Gotta say, we loved les skeletes though!
Don't worry, Ian. I've lived in Iowa almost my entire life, and I don't really think much of it, either :P
When I went to university in Canada, as an American, I was tasked with naming all 50 states in residence. I got to 49/50. The one I forgot? Iowa.
Looked at the description and saw Qwerpline Animated, just about squealed.
1:33:35 What's happening to Graham? It scared me
I am really loving this show. :)
I love coming back to this and seeing Pokemon Go being mentioned with barely a fraction of its present hype.
1:33:30 If it's not rude to ask was that a "almost-sneeze," a stutter or a vocal tick?
I do something similar when under stress, so I was curious.
The Showcase Showdown was the wheel-spinning game. The game where they bid on prize packages was just the Showcase. I'm writing this message as I watch the show so apologies if this is addressed later on.
I've actually been to a place like Living History Farms (namely, Old World Wisconsin). It's... pretty much as exciting as you think it is.
Mooore Highlights!
This episode was somehow even better than the last. I was in STITCHES during the batsu game.
Any chance of a return of Kathleen's Trivia Challenge in the future?
Also, the Batsu thing was amazing. Please do it again.
A most thoroughly enjoyable show. As an aside, could you make one of the next animation tests "the Weefees?" from QWRPline? I keep wanting to link that to people and can't *quite* justify linking the whole series.
Oh shit, I'm here too early, only 360p
I remember all those tv shows
Yes! Cosmos! I relate to Cam so much.
two questions. i know you said you will be doing a card nickname for all sets. do you have a timeline for when you will be doing the soi nicknames? two, will you be doing card nicknames for eternal masters and conspiracy 2 as well.
i laughed so hard at several of these, especially the last one.
Really hope you guys can find a suitable replacement for the crapshots segment. It's no less redundant this episode than it was on the last one. Maybe you could hold new crapshots to premiere on the show?
We had intended to.

fracassio - Exactly, I quickly went to grab a drink myself.

"Can we cut back to me" why did we need to?
I don't think I quite agree that the animation shouldn't be aired. The other comments seem to indicate that others liked it. I do think it should be kept separate though.
Stiff is how i would describe it. As it is, it seems more proof of concept than anything else.
Alex is such a luck sack during Shame Inferno segments. He should have to do them EVERY TIME
From the Q&A, I miss the sketches. I'm happy to have found this that helped with the lack of sketches, but LRR has turned into streams (that I don't deal with because lack of a pause button) and MtG. I miss the old days... I have to hunt through these to get to the sketches, too. At least Crapshots exist.
Thanks Alex for saving me from Titus spoilers 400 years later.
Shame Inferno was my favourite part of this episode.
I watched that show in 2nd grade. One of my friends now finds it traumatizing.
Alex's reaction to Done Thy Mother is so funny!
Very, *very* briefly, his reaction was my steam avatar. Then I realised it was a bad idea. Still, - that face, yo.
I love your intros
I've been to the convention center in Des Moins. It is nice. You are better off going to one of the attched hotels. My traveling companions and I saw the A1 hotel and fled in horror. The beds were tilited. True story.
I'm pretty amazed that Ian didn't know he was making a deep cut when he said why he lead Shame Inferno.
Great show! Hell's Karate Knife-Hand of Woe was amazing!
Question though, what happened with Graham at 1:33:30? A sudden hiccup attack? I was worried for a bit. >_>
Graham has a speech impediment.
Ah, right. He mentioned something like that before, thought it was cured as it rarely happens anymore.
My apologies to Graham if I sounded offensive. >_>
I for one would have preferred a showcase showdown on Serge_decklist.txt
Where can I see when the next Episode is streamed live? I really want so see one live :-)
On the "Live" tab on the website, there is a schedule for the next week of streams.
Every other Saturday night, so the next one is in two weeks.
Cool, thanks :-)
I love that Alex is a yellow belt. It just seems to fit
I'm actually really excited for Still Star Crossed
If that's Alex laughing in the background I am literally laughing out loud every time I hear him laugh during the showcase showdown lol
The Knife Hand of Woe was my favorite segment. Is there any chance of an ISC segement?
It's a crime that LRR is not more famous
Incredible Creators of Content
the show she was talking about is called the little flying bears
When will I learn not to try and eat food while watching a LRR video? When Beej got to "heaving bosom" I legitimately almost choked on my lunch.
Silver Hawks is the cartoon I watched as a kid and no one else seems to remember it
That stinger could've easily been a Crapshot in its own right.
Please tell me the compilation of the streams thing is posted somewhere.
1:13:10 Batsu actually means punishment.
24:43 I'm pretty sure they were both made by the same people.
I'm more pumped for Pokemon Sun and Moon than Pokemon GO.
why is it not surprising that is how james reacts when he cuts cake
