He let out more character and more enthusiasm along with some comedy in his speeches and you gotta remember he's from the broncs. After finding that out I understood his personality allot more and respect him more. Everyone has there own thoughts on how people act and assume but it does help to know where he grew up in. I feel like we need a president that can be intimidating and stern and real about what he is talking about rather than someone that acts fake just to get people to like them. European here. Never heard of this guy but was very impressed, he actually seems human and caring and I 100% agree that making sure kids have a healthy lunch is important. I am originally from the UK , my parents had 5 children and money was tight. Having free school lunches sure helped and I remember them with fondness…also a free carton of milk to make sure we were getting enough calcium. Now, all those 5 children are working, paying taxes and having large families themselves. It is a win-win situation. Why can’t some Americans see that?

Underrated moment here: when Walz corrected Tapper's OVER selling of Walz' military record. That he was supporting the Afghanistan effort from Europe, not in-country there. How F-ing refreshing that is, to have someone as honest and down to earth in high office instead of embellishing their background. And the more I hear about his impressive and varied resume, the more I like him as a running mate for Harris.

Yes ... i am so impressed with Tim Walz after watching his interviews.. very personable, straight to the point, pleasure to watch.. and he beats Vance so easily.. watch his other interviews. Vance pretends he is an Appalachia guy.. etc.. but Tim Walz really is small town guy and talks about it. Also he has a great talent at getting to the point very effortlessly.
I just asked my Gen-Z daughter to watch this interview. I then asked her what she thought about him if he would be Harris's VP - and whether she thought his age would hurt her chances of winning. She said he's good, she likes him and didn't think his age would be an issue at all. She's just one kid, but she's pretty plugged into how her peers think.

It isn't smart as much as it's true. It is an observation that I've been waiting for one of these news people to make for over 8 years. People who don't laugh, ever, have something missing. And they tend to be exactly what Trump is, narcissistic and sociopathic. And Jake Tapper gets his version of Tucker Carlson confused look on his face as if this is some fascinating new insight. I love the governor. However, how nobody has brought this up before simply amazes me.
Governor Walz is absolutely correct in that Trump is never seen enjoying a good, hearty laugh. Where Trump does find humour, though, is at the expense of others.

As a born and raised, life long Minnesotan I am proud to call Gov. Walz our Governor. It’s not that I agree with him on every policy or decision. But I do appreciate his efforts, his directness on positions.

This is a moot point. However, I am a 75 year old great-grandmother (grandchildren married with kids). When I study the lives of candidates (to make a choice) I first look at their personal lives. Next their politics. When a candidate has grandchildren and there has never been one picture of him taking little kids to the park, spending a day with them - just not human. That says something to me. Since trump/Republicans have no politics except to lie and call names I made my choice on how to vote - before he became President. Thank you trump for making me right.
