- Cars without license plates have a clean look to them. However, most states require front license plate. Though I have personally not used a license plate on my 2019 Mustang GT, I can see why the bulky plate can ruin the front end of your car.
There are many ways around the license plate regulation, but of course check with your state laws to confirm. Couple easy ways around the license plate regulations is front shield mount and Sto n Sho kit from Amazon.
We discuss both options in-depth in the video. This would allow you to not run a license plate especially for car meets and car shows.

I'm from Illinois and just removed the ugly bulky name plate and bracket from my truck. Looks so good! I guess I'll just keep the name plate in the windshield when parked.
Yeah it makes a huge difference! Keep it in the windshield or glove box. If ever pulled over you can say you lost a screw but you have it with you lol
I've lived in Colorado for 6 years and never been pulled over but from what I understand you are required to have a front license plate. guess the police in here just don't care
Yeah it seems like most states have laws for front plate but they don’t enforce it unless you’re driving aggressively then it gives them an easy excuse to pull you over
Ny must be physically attached to the car, i am just going with suction plate holder to the window above the dash. My car is from 68 so the metal is much better so instead of panel replacement i use number 2 short strand fiberglass, Bondo is a good brand, not to be confused with the low quality white version aka Bondo. Fill the holes in with that, make sure it is taped with blue tape and it is not sticking out before it hardens fully. Sometimes it is best to fiberglass from within the fender.
Yeah that definitely sounds like a great alternative if your state is strict about that. As long as the front fascia can remain plate free, it will look awesome. You mentioned your car is '68, out of curiosity what car is that? Always great to see classics being maintained.

Yes exactly! My state requires it too. So far I’ve been doing without it but may end up putting that amazon kit if I get in trouble lol
@@Red5oh yes, the kit will keep the original bumper skin clean. definitely order yours and maybe do an install follow up video, especially if you get the easy detach version. I guess here in the Motor City we can claim at least one perk not requiring a front plate.
PS. You’ll be happy to learn that the holes you see are actually just circle drill guide indentations.

Oh didn’t know that about holes. I’ll definitely give it a closer look. I know they sell plugs too to close them off but hasn’t bothered me enough lol

Went to Arizona & seen 98% of cars without a Front plate, I don't even want a Dumb Ass Front Plate it is so pointless & disruptive to the look of most cars, I should honestly just moved there
Yeah I agree it doesn't serve much of a purpose than to ruin the car's look. Although most states don't care about front plates unless you are driving aggressively.

@@9ALiTY Yup that's exactly what I have done. I have the front clip in the glove box so in case if I get pulled over I can say the screw fell off or something lol
I just got a parking ticket for my front plates 😡 My dealership told me to just put it in my windshield smh. I thought if you had one displaying your good but nopeee. In California, you have to pay the ticket within 21 days, and if you don’t they will suspend your registration. I LOVE my mustang, imma try to zip tie method. I REFUSE TO DRILL HOLES IN MY BABY 😩 I have the honeycomb grill so I think that’s the best option. I’m not about to keep paying for tickets for a license plate.
I am sorry to hear that, I think the law around front plate is kinda stupid. I would try the zip tie method or look at the product mentioned in this video.

99% of Tesla's in my area have no license plates but maybe OC isn't so strict..so ill risk it as well lol

I've even got plates that I got, uh... people would go out and, homestead, like in Barstow. They have to build a little house to get the property. You still see them out there. Then they had to make a roof. Well out of uh... you know, a company that used to melt the plates down, fact they were in Ontario and then, going out that way on that railroad route, or get or getting plates coming this way, I don't know, then the train derailed, so here's a big pile of license plates, they're all from the 30's, layin' out in the desert.
So these people would take 'em, and they'd make their roof out of them, like tiles, sprayed 'em silver, so I've got all these plates with extra nail holes in 'em, and with little parts of them on the back, sprayed with silver, and I know a lot of people who have 'em too, it's because of the story.

Yeah I completely agree with you. No plates is the best look. Good thing there are couple options out there to avoid getting in trouble with the law lol
@@Red5oh most just out them in the window, which is actually illegal in the UK. Other option is getting a stick on one and putting offset on the front like an Alfa
That’s not drilled holes, it’s small indents as to where to drill holes.
Ahh interesting. Dealer told me they had drilled holes but didn't put the plate as they weren't sure if I would want that or not. They said by law they have to drill the holes if they sell in a state that requires front plate.

I just file a police report for a missing/stolen front plate and renew it when I need to. Have like 3 plates that were “stolen”

I live in Texas and I've been pulled over 3 times this year because of this.
I zip tied the front plate. It looks like crap. I am waiting for them to pull her over for unsecured plate.
