- Exploring Dawson Creek in British Columbia from June 2nd to 3rd, 2022. Completing the West Access Route by driving the Caribou Highway and John Hart Highway. Enjoying our picnic lunch at Bijoux Falls Provincial Park. Admiring the wooden chainsaw carvings in Chetwynd, home of the Chetwynd International Chainsaw Carving Championship Competition. Camping at Mile 0 RV Park in Dawson Creek. Getting our pictures taken in front of the Alaska Highway Mile 0 sign. Savoring a nice meal at Browns Social House. Wandering through the Walter Wright Pioneer Village.

Glad you are enjoying our videos. We stayed at Mile 0 Park. It is right next to the highway, but there isn't much traffic at night. It's right next to the Walter Wright Pioneer Village.

I was editor of the biweekly Dawson Creek Star from 1959 to 1961. When I first travelled up the Hart Highway it was gravel. It was summer and I didn't see any mountains because there was too much dust. My wife and I arrived before the PGE, the railway that came up from north Vancouver. During my time as editor there were five elevators all full with cereal crops. Wilbur Wright if I remember rightly was president of the local Rotary Club.
