  • While designing for accessibility (A11y or Ally) gains recognition, it's often misunderstood and oversimplified. A11y is often narrowly linked to designing for disabled individuals, becoming a buzzword in the industry. Designing for A11y is perceived to limit designer’s creative freedom and is often reduced to basic practices like including alt text, or font size and color contrast adjustments. However, its true essence is frequently overlooked, relegated to a mere checklist item addressed at project's end.
To address this, I curated and designed a 43 card deck - The Access Deck - a personalized and collaborative toolkit that enables UX Designers to consciously integrate accessibility throughout their design process.
