Best video you’ve ever done. Fantastically researched and executed.
Wow, thank you! We are very happy you enjoyed the video. It was very interesting to dive into the art of different historical periods and talk about the themes in the Alpha set and how that might indicate some of the themes for future sets.
Awesome video! I would have thought a perfect example of the Piracy theme would be the Pirate Ship card haha. But its nice to see such a thorough analysis! Thank you!
Good call! That would probably have been a good one.. 😁 However, the myth of The Flying Dutchman will have to be it. Thank you for the kind words, there was definitely a bit of research involved!
Im a sucker for ancient art, especially greek/roman, babylonian and egyptian theme hit me on another level.
Great video and excellent analysis as always!
Then there is a lot of good stuff for you in Sorcery, and I think we can expect to see even more amazing artworks and exciting themes in the future.
Thank you for the kind words and we appreciate you taking the time to comment!
Sherlock Cardboard... 😜
Elementary my dear Watson! 🕵️♀️
as usual, great video - and ahead of the pack with the latest news!
Thanks! We try to keep up and make sure we can deliver you all the latest news! 🙂
I could imagine that a theme could be in the direction of cyberpunk or science fiction. There are already cards that fit this theme: All-terrain Vestments, Purge Juggernaut, Wings of Invention, Zephyranne Airship…
Artists like Frazetta or Pineaux also serve this genre.
And in terms of rules, something would also be possible with the use of the Void.
Thanks for watching the video. I think that is a really great catch, there is definitely a touch of cyberpunk and sci-fi in the cards mentioned, but also maybe a "da Vinci" inventor like theme, I would love to see that as well.
@@CardboardGuide „da Vinci“ is also a realy good idea
@@Ilphikur I could see some sketches, som alchemist, inventor’s workshop, some astronomy and a lot of other cool themes mixed together.
Abundance is a work of art.
It really is, with some really cool details within the art itself. ❤️ Thanks for checking out the video!
Don't forget Lovecraftian horror. Reference to hounds of tindalos and great old ones.
Definitely, and I believe Erik also talked about some sites, that sounded like they might be from the Lovecraftian world.
excellent video ! awesome idea wow nice !!
Thank you, we really appreciate your feedback! ✨ We look forward to taking a deeper look at some of these themes!
Great work and research, definitely appears to track! I hope you are correct. Love the videos, keep them coming!
Thank you for the positive feedback! We have another video coming up this week on what Sorcery would look like in a Graeco-Roman setting!
Great work. Thanks for this video, makes me appreciate Sorcery in a way I didn't think of.
Wow, that is really cool to hear! Thank you for checking out the video and leaving such an awesome comment. 🙌🏻
Angels and demons
Thanks for checking out the video! A light/dark or angels and demons set would be superb and fit very well with the style and flavour of Sorcery, lets hope we see something like that in the future!
Where's Olofsson...
Hiding with Waldo! 🤓
Im hoping for a hyborian age set based on the works of robert E howerd.
Thank for checking out the video!
I think that would be pretty into Sorcery area, and I could definitely see them doing something cool with it!
Hope they go to to the following places in space, time, myth, and legend:
China: Three Kingdoms period (End of the Han Dynasty)
Asia: Feudal Japan, Mongol Empire, Indian history
Mid-East: Arabian Nights, Crusades and Jihads, Pre-Christian Mid-East, Persian empire,
Egypt: Ancient Egypt
North West Africa: Mali Empire, Richat Structure (Atlantis)
East Africa: Ethiopia (Tewodros II)
Pre Colombian Americas: All of them. Everyone. All the -tecs.
Polynesia: Hawaii, King Kamehameha I, Pele (deity)
Greeks, Romans, Vikings, I think I'm done with expansions. 🤣
Wow, I think the company will have enough ideas for the next many, many sets with all these ideas! 🤩
I am really excited to see how they develop a more focused theme like the next set, Arthurian Legends. ⚔️
@@CardboardGuide Just have the Beta Pre-cons in my hands... and "Skirmishers of Mu" leads me to believe we will see Lumeria, Mu, and Atlantis OR some other "Lost Lands"... We shall see! Super excite here, too!
Very cool video and this def took some history research! I really hope they do an Arabian nights, Egyptian and Japanese/samurai set but I really want a mezo American/Mayan/Aztec type set. It’s an archetype that almost never gets used. Looking forward to these future videos with theme set ideas!
Thank you, we appreciate you took the time to leave this kind comment. ❤ There are so many great historical/fictional worlds to explore and I can't wait to see where Sorcery takes us in the future! We will be taking a deep dive into what a Graeco-Roman set will look like.
@@CardboardGuide looking forward to it :)
