Right on, thank you so much for sharing. I am looking to buy one around early next year, when we might get a better deal and could save enough. Have subscribed so that I could get to know more about your experience with the s1k. Ride safe, and enjoy to the fullest...
its actually great and capable. i learned that it likes staying at 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th for our local track here. 2nd seems way too short and you may bounce the rev limiter. but overall, its got power, its got tech. its got comfort.
I'm drooling...Is it only for track days? I want to ride this one for short trips and commute around the suburbs and the city or maybe check the XR instead?
@@motoken@motoken I'll try and test ride both, but my heart belongs to sport riding. My age, though (47 years old), points towards the XR. The previous bike was a Kawasaki 900RS, naked :D
Also does this have a full titanium exhaust? It looks like it only has the OEM akrapvovic slip on. I see on the configurator that a full titanium exhaust is also an option.
@sunilk_89 carbon wheels, carbon package, and the catted akro header from factory is not included but otherwise everything else is there. I personally wouldn't want the catted header and carbon wheels.
@@motoken I wouldn't want the carbon wheels and carbon package as well. Forged wheels for me too. I'm not really mechanically inclined when it comes to all the exhaust types/parts and such and slowly learning. I'm planning on getting the 25 next year. This may I put down a deposit for a 24 ZX6R and Kawi screwed me and did not deliver one😬. In the mean time I became infatuated with the S1KRR.
@sunilk_89 yeah the carbon body parts would be cool but they are pretty expensive for cosmetics. The carbon wheels may crack or get scratches. The catted akro header is basically kinda pointless. I rather get the catless akro header
congratulations. i've had the exact same model/trim package for almost a month and i'm absolutely loving it. enjoy and ride safe.

BMW represents the pinnacle of impeccable details. A gorgeous example here. Looking good counts too.
Couldn't agree more!
Congrats Ben! Love this
Congrats Ken! Beautiful bike indeed!💯👍
It sure is!
"M Package" is the term you're looking for
Congrats ken.
Thank you!!
How did you like the GS on the track? Congrats on the new bike!

@@infectedplus1 oh you can do that with the s1000rr too
@@motoken best answer ever:D I'll be test driving this bad boy in a few days.
@@infectedplus1 I'd say the XR if you're not comfortable on sport bikes but that's about it.

@@sunilk_89 that really depends on your dealer I think. Some don't care about flashes
Sir is this a good starter bike

How high is your insurance for a bike like that? As much as a car?
@godsmack7734 it is about 1200 a year with state farm but I have bundles with them. Full coverage, 1000 deductible
Do you still have the KTM?
@@thumpertorque_ no more, just beemers
If you didn't have the GSA, I thought you would have gone for the new S1000XR, but since you have the GSA, this is the better 2nd bike.
Oh, for sure. The xr would be a combination of the two.
You have a Porsche and now this. You have definitely made it in life, wtf do you do for a living?
its just a lot of debt. don't worry lol.
It's pointless to do a sportbike review without riding the bike on the track.
@@langhamp8912 I wasn't reviewing it.
