I've watched, and enjoyed this video many, many, many times, and have just now realized that you two are walking up the wrong side of the stairs! hehehe
I went for a two hour river trip before the recital. I am still coming down to earth from Sunday's magnificent perfomances. The Pietro Yon was incredible and those pedal glissandos earned the Bravos.
It's usually your playing that leaves me breathless...in a good way. The organist seemed to have less difficulty climbing. Could it be the pedal work paying off? 😉🎹
At least it wasn't Bring Your Own Piano at the top... Fun fact: Tom said "oh _don't_ start running" about half a second after I did. (Yeah, I talk to TH-cam sometimes. What of it, I live alone. :)
The steps are very much just a tourist thing nowadays, there are other ways up that aren't as steep. I was there a bit over a month ago and it was myself, some other tourists, and a fitness group using the stairs.

Thanks for the humor insofar as the climb. It's the first time I've laughed in a while. Thanks. Bellmore, NY USA
Great video. I did this Saturday. I thought the same - imagine living half way up....
We'll now I know what it feels like to have Tom breathing in my ear for 5 minutes
Surely there’s a pub at the top of that hill?
Haha great to see you here while living in that city for half of my time :)
Some guys go to extremes to keep their amazing pedal technique...
And when you get to the top, Liege looks like Stockport!

It's very easy. I've done the incline in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I'll be doing these stairs soon.
After decades of footwork in the pedalboard it should be rather easy. On the other hand I'd be on the ground after 30s.

Bloody good show! Fun to watch, not to do.
Woow, 374 steps, it reminds me the streets in Zacatecas, Mexico.
What a climb! How do the people who live on those steps get around? That is a dead woodpecker on the steps.

@@ThomasMauger You know that the main entrance for the 1st degree student of St-Barthelemy is still in the middle of the staircase ?
Tom, I feel your pain.
Bienvenue en Belgique ! 🎶🎹
Well done. The question is.....get to the top, find the nearest organ and play Thalben-Ball's pedal variations on a theme of Pagnini!!!!
Interesting thanks.
Well done :) x
You didn't have to play the organ after this climb, did you? Ha, ha!
Gefällt mir. Ich wäre auch nicht schneller.😰😰😰🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭
Mon dieu! 😳😵
See how much fitter the organist is versus the piano player! The pedal organ males all the difference in fitness !!
Where were your Mum and Dad. Put some music to it and I am sure you will get there TOM.
Tom. those people who live 1/2 way up only ever come down. Think about it.
Organist extraordinare and now mountain goat? Is there no mountain, musical, masonic or metaphorical this man can't climb?
