Beach Metal Detecting, Memorial Day Weekend, Night Hunt

I opted for another delightful night hunt along the Galveston seawall in Texas, as the daytime temperatures were too warm. Nevertheless, I intend to explore during the day after the Memorial Day weekend concludes.

I’m considering carrying a magnifying glass in my pocket. I keep struggling trying to read the year on the coins. Nothing fancy. Maybe I can get one at a store with the word ‘dollar’ prominently displayed in its name. I like that knife though. You’re doing a heck of a job with the camera, sound, lighting, scoop, and manticore. There’s allot of things going on.

I constantly run into that dilemma on the beach. Give up on a target or dig to China. Until proven otherwise that piece of copper is a copper flashing of an old sailing ship. I don’t know the details, but that used a thin copper sheet around the water line. Who carries a big ol hunking chunk of copper to the beach anyway?
