On a dual carriageway or motorway everyone is going at more or less the same speed and all in the same direction, so you do what you did, accelerate to the speed or slightly higher than the traffic in lane 1, indicate and merge in, adjusting your speed to the traffic in that lane. What you did was bang on.👍👍 Then all you do is have a good look around at what's going on and relax. The thing that drives me crazy is when people go down the entry slip road at 40 when the traffic in lane 1 is doing 60 or more and they can't merge in without people in lane 1 having to slow. You didn't do that, if you carry on like this, I think you'll grow to like driving. Fantastic, keep it going!
