Hi mate, think I was out fishing same time as you. I was on the platform, also after the big one that got away same time last year! No luck, completely blanked! Also saw the dolphins right in close and lots of garfish. I only had mackerel for bait and they were coming back completely stripped - whiting I suspect. Someone's going to land that big one, just needs the hours putting in. I also tried with the LRF gear and not a single nibble, was really dead that night for some reason, like you said, maybe the dolphins, maybe not.
