      Each CEO better have given him head on hands and knees in turn. However we know this effort was at least a partial failure because if they did the black magic procedure correctly Korg would have instantly transformed into Teenage Engineering.

      He never said he was leaving Korg, only that he was leaving his position as lead synth designer. I'm pretty sure he said specifically he was staying at Korg.

    We want a new performance sampler based on the original ESX1, please. Just beef it up with more outputs, memory, maybe an analog filter, fatter synth engine and everything will be sweet. Still to this day nothing competes with the simplicity and immediacy of that red machine. Please dont change the sequencing architecture either. Its just too simple and absolutely perfect. Thankyou :) xxx

    Some critics may say; give us a keybed with aftertouch at least. I extend this to a wider wish; give us innovative expression features in a powerful hybrid hi-tech environment. And find a way to less menu diving, but more hands on sound design controls.

  • @axs203
    @axs203 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    One of the best things I’ve used to date is the te pocket operators. They just encourage you to make music and jam. The manual is one page. They are cheap and sound great. I like the fact a Korg do whacky stuff....like the Monopoly monopoly design. I also loved Korg Dsn12. So try to keep that fun thing in mind.....I would like to see Korg first to the post to do an a.r synth you can control with fingers through some glasses. Something a bit way out not done before. Is that the future.....

    Korg prophecy 2.0 with real analog, with acoustic physical modeling, but being able to cross modulate the acoustic with the analog!

    • @statueoftheabyss6886
      @statueoftheabyss6886 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, man, that would be amazing. Hell one with a more straight forward editing system would be pretty great. Still got to be the best bang for buck on the second hand market, or maybe the trinity plus. Prophecy hybrid would be killer though, more controllers and higher gain output.

    • @thirfytash7286
      @thirfytash7286 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@statueoftheabyss6886 I still have my prophecy, but you're right the outputs were horrible, they broke so I had a local keyboard tech put in better higher gain ones and mounted them better, also I use midi quest to edit it, if they made a touchscreen editor or even a computer editor to go along with it it would improve the programming so much! Still love that thing though!

    • @statueoftheabyss6886
      @statueoftheabyss6886 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      thirfy tash Nicely done. Regrettably, I sold mine (outputs and editing). I do think about a repurchase every so often though. Maybe with a reintroduction to moss they make a switchable prophecy / Z1 in a single unit. That certainly would draw my attention, add in a analog stage and just wow 😀.

    • @thirfytash7286
      @thirfytash7286 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@statueoftheabyss6886 that would be sweet, I'd like to see the monologue or minilogue xd sequencer on it as well with motion recording especially per step recording! And audio inputs for external great processing through the analog stage but maybe even somehow through moss if that's even possible? Maybe even compete daw integrating through usb, maybe even some cv's? ... We're asking for a lot here 😂

      @statueoftheabyss6886 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    The good news for Korg is that it's finally dawned on people making electronic music, that VSTs are perfect for production, but real hardware is much more fun and useful for experimentation. Nobody wants to sit at the computer all the time. This is why you're seeing the rebirth of hardware and a general dislike for hardware menu diving.
    1) Resynthesis. Load a waveform into a keyboard. The keyboard recreates the sound from analogue or digital oscillators, the sound can then be perfectly transposed and shaped.
    2) Scanned synthesis. Load a sample into the keyboard. The keyboard picks 49 short loops from the sample and maps them at random (and at the correct pitch) to the 49 keys. This can actually be done on an XD or Prologue using Hammondeggs util, but it takes ages.
    I'd love to see these types of keyboards.
