2024 someone? this could well be one of my fave tracks of that decade, the production and track progression is fucking amazing and somehow I LOVE how her voice is off-key towards the end, magic!
Back in the day they were my favorite band. Once saw them twice in three days. This song is awesome for so many reasons- dynamics, vocals, rhythm section. The drums on the entire album were phenomenal, an air drummer's dream. A great album to go out on, especially the final track Pink Light. It's a little sad when that song ends, knowing it's the last thing they recorded. Miss you, Yuki!
I've got nothing to show in these hands of mine, oh But I've no reasons left to stay behind Oh, please don't let me leave this life And let the light come in Oh, let the light come in I can't look beyond to the end So I'll turn to look behind These strings I can't untie How come you have no reasons Left to stay with me But please, don't leave me here with nothing And let the light come in Oh, let the light come in There's no reason why to look at me so sadly When I cry for you These noises are so maddening The light burns the hallways Screaming out for you
Asobi Seksu rules! What a great melodies they have... "Fluorescence" is a killer album with dreamy, ethereal sound. Like it even more than "Hush". Worthy successors to Cocteau Twins!
Like this so so much! I am really pissed I missed this when it was released. Super powerful music, brilliant melodies in her voice. Very throwback (cocteau twins? jesus and mary chain?) So good.
Why the fuck did I pass up seeing this band TWICE on this tour??? What the fuck was wrong with me??? I even passed up seeing Ride for the first time a couple of years ago. Never again. Don't hesitate, folks, live in the now, because you never know when that band you love won't be there anymore. Instead I sit here in regret listening to this wonderful song, just wishing and hoping that they will decide to reform someday. At least I got to see Lush in 96 and an even bigger deal, Cocteau Twins in 94.

I just discovered this band. I hope they make more albums someday
You and me both, I was stupid enough to pass up seeing them twice on this tour because I didnt want to go alone. Then they broke up.
Amazing song, amazing band. And damn the man she's singing about that did her so wrong!

This song is overwhelming, though the remix by Holy Other makes her voice much deeper !
Beautiful!!! Yuki's voice is so heavenly

She sounds like Chrissie Hynde a lot in this song.
THIS HEALED ME SO MANY TIMES OMG THANK YOU ASOBI SEKSUUUU
Like for my
I love this. So much❤
Hi…gh
This sounds like blonde redhead!
This just proves girls are a hundred times cuter with "ushankas".
Yoko Ono? great song!....shared to the Netshows Radio "Program 28" Playlist on youtube.com
Peter Wesley Bastone fuck Yoko ono. sings like a dying whale
Yep its sooo very sexual. That was my first thought!
I mean, if you speak Japanese or know the meaning of their name, then you know, lol.
Sound engineer screwed up on this one. Her voice should have more low end and way more boost to overcome the wall of sound.
Her voice is already twice as loud as vocals usually are in this genre. Refer to: My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, and Lush.
this genre is based around odd mixing choices
Masterpiece.
