Thank you so much for talking about your anxiety. From a fellow anxious person who often feels alone

Ha😂 your dog seems like ours and the blah feelings are normal so don’t be too harsh on yourself. So glad sassy saints gifted you somethings. The pigeon issue is 😂hilarious and I get it we have solar panels too.

Would love to see a video of all the kit you have purchased to help with the dip nails, including a review of the dust collector please. I’m thinking I may need one 😊. Also the things that help you keep organised while doing your nails, I always feel I’m surrounded by stuff and don’t have enough space.

Sounds like a good idea for a video 🥰 the dust collector I have isn’t all that, it was £30 from Amazon. Its works but I think there is better out there.
I did do a video where I had a tidy in my office but I don’t list everything…

Turned out well! Are you finding it relaxing or stressful to play with powders? I did a thing..ordered a sistaco kit 😲. I’ve watched about 1000 videos and read as many reviews and am giving it a try. I’ve got so many regular nail polishes but my nails have become so porous at my age I need to do so many layers and I always stuff one up. Gets very frustrating and time consuming. I’ll give the powders a shot. I want something that lasts to make the whole process worthwhile. Plus my daughter who is about your age wants to try them too. You made the drill usage look easy. 😊 good work.

I find it really relaxing…. Doing swatch sticks has become its own hobby 😂 I might start doing sample manis on tips and keep them to see different colour combinations.
Good luck with Sistaco, you’ll have to let me know how you go 🤩

This is a great way to use the powders and she turned out super cute. A gel liner would be good for the legs? Would give them more relief/3D’ness?
Question: with gel polish plus dip powders…can you layer dip powders on top of a gel polish base coat do you think? My nails are thin and bendy, made thinner and bendier with acetone exposure. Gel polish is flexible and adheres better than dip powders to my nails as a result. Whilst gel polish firms up my nails, on its own, it’s not as strong as dip powders and I can’t build an apex. I also hate removing gel polish/builder gels - absolute nightmare if you’re scared of a drill. I love that dip powders soak off in acetone in 5 mins. So was thinking I could base coat in gel polish, followed by dip powders, which would firm up my nail just enough to stop it bending quite so much and have the dip powder layer lift/crack. Then when it comes to removal I could soak off the dip powder layers in acetone for 5 mins, leaving just the gel layer beneath, which would protect my nail bed from the acetone and can just get buffed slightly/reapplied ready for the next dip powders to go on? Do you think that would work?

Hmmm I’m not sure it would work… if you soak in acetone it’s going to take off the gel layers as well as the dip powder.
That’s if it’s normal gel base coat, I don’t know how builder gel works and if it’s stronger?
I currently have 2 layers of clear dip on my natural nail, and I use the gel method to apply it (gel base coat, dip, led lamp cure). I like using the gel method because it’s easier to apply thin and take your time to make it neat. It does also have that flexibility so I can leave it at that for a few days without finishing my mani and top coating.
I will then go in with dip liquids and powders as normal.
I’ve been using a drill to remove but i go super slow as I’m trying to get used to it. I just go down to the clear layers of dip. Tidy up, add another clear layer with gel method and then dip liquids as normal.
      Hope that makes sense 🥰
It’s deffo working the best for me. They’re strong and quick to change colour.

@@hayley-DNA oh wow I had NO idea you could apply dip powders with gel polish! That’s so cool I’m going to try that I think cos I’m just finding the dip powders a bit brittle for my bendy nails and they lift/crack too easily. Thank you for the tip! Yes I thought of the acetone eating into the gel layer but the chromagel gel polish that I use needs dynamite to get it off - no amount of soaking seems to shift it so I thought it would withstand the acetone ok x
