Super cool design. Glad someone came out with a shock thats more like a fuill size shock. The reason there is no air bladder is because there is an actual IFP like in a full size shock. The piston in the reservoir you are referring to is what would be the dividing piston or IFP in a full size shock. As the shock compresses, the shaft displaces fluid, which moves the ifp (piston in the reservoir). The spring in the reservoir acts the same way nitrogen in a full size shock would.
Wow! Holy crap that is impressive! So many small parts. Have you made a comparison between these and Proline oil shocks? I looked but could not find the video. Thank you, I'm going to buy a set for sure, i assume you have a link to the website to help support the channel.
Unfortunately I don’t have the prolines. :( Thanks a ton for wanting to support the channel but I don’t have any affiliate links for these. But there should be normal links in the description. ;)
It’s nice to see a company care about their shocks. Those things didn’t even leak after you opened them up. Also the design is very cool and seems well thought out. Can’t say the same about the stock shocks… However they look like they take up a lot of space if you’re still running a hardbody.
I don’t even own a trx4m. Well now I do but it’s not here yet. And also found these shocks so yeah thanks for convincing me to buy into an entirely new platform just due to how sick these are.
I been watching this channel since last summer. I’m just now realizing I hadn’t subscribed. Oops. Good thing is that I’ve watched enough of your videos over time, that the algorithm puts them in my feed.
in this scale having oil filled shocks actually make a big difference. And thats double for the faster cars and buggies, however, i believe youll probably run into some heat issues with the oil either expanding after a while or changing damping depending on that viscosity change. But these are no doubt a really nice part.
You can definitely make them fit. Only thing is the screw holes in the ball joints are 2.5mm vs 2mm. However, you can easily shim the holes, find new ball joins with 2mm holes or try to use m2.5 screws and rethread the shock mounts and axle mounts. (I’d just get some shims/fishing lure crimps, to take up some of the space between the ball and the screw. )
Thanks for the cool review. I learned a lot racing off road for ten years. But the most fun I've had was running 12th scale pan cars. Miss those days! Cheers 🍻
I dont think there is a difference. I just measured some brand new ones and they are right at 56mm. I might have gotten some first batch prototypes because the 2 fronts on my video rig show right at 54/55. I donno, maybe I messed something up on assembly? either way, measured 2 other brand new sets and they are 56mm
Hahah I know. We ordered some different shock oil options. I even mentioned that the motor oil is not ideal. Lmao. We are using 20wt 200cst silicone shock oil. ;)
Oops.. It was mented for another video on another channell.. ✌️😆 I really like the fms minis i will like to own a smasher and the new black blazer. It looks fantastic and i also have the 1/10 T blazer to go with the 1/18-20 one. Maybe i will buy the wagon body to swap with the blazer. Thanks for sharing that input brotha.

Great info! And yeah, they are pretty bad ass.
Awesome video. Thanks for all the great details and information. I really like how you can adjust the rebound with the turn of a screw. Very nice. 👍🏆
These shocks are amazing. We have a video coming soon on the new nexx racing Grom shocks.
Great Video!!! Thanks really informative!!! Nexx Racing Resevoir shocks RULE!!!
Thanks again!

I missed it but what was the price on these?
49.99
And yeah, they seem super quality, but yep, do take a bit of space.
Nice shocks and the adjustability is sweet! I'm in love with the Injora 53mm oil shocks & price.
the injoras are nice too.. but these are another level.
Man…I want this for my SCX24 build! So sick!
They make them for the scx24 and ax24.
I'll be buying these for my trx4ms soon
5/5/23!
I don’t even own a trx4m. Well now I do but it’s not here yet. And also found these shocks so yeah thanks for convincing me to buy into an entirely new platform just due to how sick these are.
Right?!?! Worst case, if you don’t like the traxxas, you can always just use these amazing shocks on a different rig.

Hahha. It’s all good. The viewership is more important than the sub anyway. Huge thanks for all the watching and now, the sub!!!!
Nexx raci g resi shocks rule! Cheers Ken
Thanks for the watch!!!
Insane shocks!!! Cant wait
Right?! They look like they are gonna be sooo sick!

Great insight!! We are excited for these for sure (if you couldn’t tell lol)
Hell Yeah! Castol!!!
In hindsite, probably not ideal. I’ve heard
Using that kind of oil can eat the orings over time.
Looking forward to running a set with no springs I like things slammed to chassis lol
Hell yah!!
I’m looking at these right now. I want them on my Fcx24 I wonder if it fits

these look awesome. hopefully they won't be too expensive :)

@@TheShopMiniRC that's excellent!
I use regular shock pliers for my 1/10 scale’s haven’t checked to see if it work on my 124s I’m gonna have to check
Let us know!
You forgot to put green slime on Your o rings. Always use silicon shock oil.
Great tip!!

@@fcukeround 12th scale seems like it could be a blast.
I wonder if they have long travel shocks in the making I want a set but I really love flexing me rig
You can just angle your shocks more to get more flex.
You could put some green slime on those O rings
True. We should.
Did they change the sizing since this video? Looks like the length is 56mm on the website?
I dont think there is a difference. I just measured some brand new ones and they are right at 56mm. When these come available will they fit on the k5 fcx24? I cracked an bought 2😂 because orange grew on me. Also would like to see more k5 vids
They might be just a tad big, but you can make em fit im sure.
People run the Mini T shocks on fcx24 and I’ve seen a few running the stock style 4m shocks. They’re secure but just a little loose.
What size should I get for the fcx24? 24 scale ir 18 scale?
I would base it on the shock length you want.
Is there a pre order for these? I want a set but I don’t want to have to fight for them.

Extra virgin olive Oil 😁😁👍👍😎
Nice!
The link doesn't go to the shocks, legitimately can't find them on the site?
They don’t come out till around 5/8/23. They will be on the site then.
Also, updated the link, they just put them up. nexxracing.com/product/nx-400-b-nexx-racing-1-18-reservoir-shock-4pcs/
This was such a good video until he pulled out the motor oil 🤣. That Losi 20wt shock oil would have been perfect too. Otherwise awesome video!

Same set up as delux fab shocks or traxxas big bores, would like that set up just no Reservoir
They make 54mm reservoir shocks?
@@TheShopMiniRC no same design of inner shock parts = no leaks
@@RRRCinc ahh. Nice!
