I can see the time-saving benefits but it gives me chills. If we're going down this road then we lose the heart and soul of an author's work. We will get soul-less, homogenized words. It's a very dangerous, slippery slope.
I can see that too. I think of all the roles that will be changed forever as a result of AI. Writing, Editing, copy writing, blogging, even illustrating will change as AI generation of images becomes more marketable. Blows my mind! How will you use these tools? Did you see the quality of what was written by the AI. Wow. Just Wow!
I don’t think we need to worry about soulless content taking over soulful work. Bad, boring writing doesn’t take precedent even when a human writes it. An AI is just a time and money saving tool like Grammerly or Dragon diction (though they are disruptive to non fiction work like editing). It’s an AGI that would destroy creative work, but we’re hopefully 50-100 yrs off from that 😅

I hear you, but some of us are struggling very, very badly because we don't have the proper knowledge(or money)on being able to market ourselves well. I am willing to try anything at this point. I will definitely still write my own books, with my own flavor ;-) but I am more interested in this for marketing/and improving engagement by grabbing readers attention.

I stumbled across this video and am happy to see something like this. I struggle terribly to get engagement from my emails, my blurbs suck and my books don't sell well. This is a game-changer!

There are also tools out there that can detect how much content is AI generated vs human generated, we'll see these ratings appear on sites in the future and pure AI generated content may not be allowed. Rather than fear the usage of AI tools, we need to inspect and explore what we can do with them. We need to adapt. it's the same as all other tech, when the printing press came about we could print our text so much faster. Yes it put hand scribes out of work unless they adapted to the new tech. Then came typewriters and then computers. People need to keep up to stay relevant!

I clicked on the link to see what it's all about but I received a message saying that "they are at full capacity." Woah! This kinda scares me to be honest. I don't know what exactly to think. (That's why I want to check it out more.) I can see this being a major time-saver, but it lacks peronsalization........especially since I'm an author and a teacher and I love to write. I really don't want kids to get a hold of this though. LOL! :)
I get it. They also have a tool that lets teachers determine whether someone used AI to create their paper.
There are tools out there that can check for plagiarism, and you should check all of the generated text. You should also proof-read because just because it gave you a block of text, doesn't mean that text is any good in a literary sense. Also factually it could be wrong, so you need to check these things.

Astonishing! I heard that it can write excellent blurbs but what do you put into it to get it to write one?
How about something like “write me a blurb for my book about that helps .
You can also take a stab at a blurb and then just have that second tool rephrase it.

Haha. I am quite an introvert as well but it gets easier the more you put yourself out there. Just be your authentic self. People will respond to that.

I think it depends how people use it. In this day and age if we don’t keep up with technology it will leave us in the dust!
