Love this old video Hunter. I also love this bounty hunter Proline I wish I could afford to buy every one of them. You're the man Hunter take care buddy.
Based on your review I just bought the Quick Draw Pro on Amazon for $134 (price just went up, though). I bought the Mars Tiger coil for my F19 (great depth and separation) and had the extra 10x5 dd coil from the F19. I bought the Cors screw- on to push-in coil adapter and the F19 10X5 dd works great on the Quick Draw Pro (no increase in depth but separation is better!). No coil swapping now and an extra detector.
Nice Pete. The F19 and QDP is a good combination. Find just about any coin there is the the 7-8 in range with that combo and coil swap setup. Love those 7.7 and 19 khz machines.
I've used nothing but a bounty hunter 202 and a tracker I've found more stuff against guys with exspensive detectors I've found thousands of coins and relics buckets full
Unfortunately they do not make water-proof detectors and likely never will. They cater to the intro to intermediate hobbyist. You would need to step up to Fisher Research Labs for waterproofing or weatherproofing. Bounty Hunter - Teknetics - Fisher are all under the First Texas umbrellas. Great company and great products.
Great video bud. Thank you so much for going threw and showing how to use this properly. Me and my wife are new to this. Were in our 30s and want to get out and do something fun bc we are not the bar type people lol. Did enough of that while i was in the army. Thanks again. :)
My pleasure. Appreciate you watching and commenting. QDP is a great detector that will get you guys into the early intermediate range. I know a few that never felt the need to upgrade and I don't feel sorry for them at all. Good to hear you guys are staying away from bars (and alcohol in general). Staring into a treasure filled dirt hole is 1000X better than staring into the bottom of an empty glass!
Great video. Another awesome detector from Bounty Hunter. I like the idea of one 9 volt battery compared to the two batteries I need to run my machine. It's funny. I find myself gushing about my Bounty Hunter metal detector to anyone who will listen. lol. They really do make awesome machines. Thank you for the video. Awesome job. With you describing the machines we will never have to read the owners manual. GL and HH. Eric
Thanks Eric...appreciate that man. I try to make them as informative as I can and not ramble on too long. Tough on some detectors as they have so much going on. Really a neat detector for the price. GL/HH my friend
Kevin Hicks I got the Garrett at gold and this BH is better. On depth because of the bigger coil also on Garrett you can't notch like you can on this.On the gold a $.25 air test is 8 -8.5 inches with stock 5x8 coil. I'm selling mine
Thanks for all these in depth videos! Definitely subscribing! I also just watched your Bounty Hunter Sharpshooter II videos and I have to ask: Which do you think is better, this quickdraw pro or the sharpshooter II? I'm going crazy trying to decide which one I should get.
Right on...glad you enjoy the videos and thank you for subbing. The QDP is quite a bit better than the SS2. It is definitely deeper and has better separation and recovery speed. While the SS2 was a capable and fun machine to learn and begin with, this QDP will take you quite a bit further.
@@thehuntergt Sweet. They have both models on sale right now in my local academy so the price difference is only about $30. You are the fourth youtuber I've asked and it's now officially a 100% landslide vote for the QDP. Makes my decision pretty easy! Thanks again!
@@thehuntergt Thanks! Hit me up if you are ever in South Texas. I've been metal detecting with (cheap ass) detectors for a few years, so I can show ya to a few good spots and turn you on to a few local legends.
Hello HunterGT ! Rumors : Bounty Hunter Quick Draw Pro is..."made in China"...is it true ?! How do i know if is made in USA or...'made in China' ? Thanx !
MrROsbama It is absolutely designed and engineered in the USA in El Paso Texas. I've seen it rolling off the assembly line there when I toured the factory.
I've been seeing on other places on the internet where the quick draw pro has a backlight where you can see it in the dark mine doesn't is there anything I'm missing on how to turn it on or what's going on
thank you man i did buy the lrp , im real bummed out tho as i live in southern new mexico was plannin on using it out in the mountainss here but the ranger told me i cant because its a state park i might try a national forest im not sure if its allowed there or not do you have a link to a video where you talk abount any laws and regulations i dont want to get in trouble and like i said im new to this
I don't have a link or video sorry. If you are prospecting for minerals it is legal in most places...however coin shooting and relic hunting is not permitted in State and Federal parks without a permit. The local parks and schools of New Mexico should have loads of history. Don't get discouraged...there is great stuff for you to detect with the LRP. Google "metal detecting laws" to get started...wish I could help more.
So Bounty Hunter is giving away free metal detectors to people that already have one of their metal detectors. That doesn't sound fair for people that don't have a metal detector at all. And what's with the french bilingual packaging? I thought it was just us Canadians that had to put up with that crap.
I can see your point - but will offer the other side of the coin. This way rewards the users who are loyal to their products and enjoy their products. A "thank you" to their users. Nothing wrong with that. Wish more companies would follow suit and reward loyalty actually. Giving it away to somebody who has never used one seems even riskier as a brand new detector may sit in a closet if they don't end up enjoying the hobby - not ideal. You should see the EuroTek Pro package...it has like 6 languages on it. French included. :)
I'm planning on buying one. I'm debating whether to buy an ace 250 or a quick draw pro. I'm leaning towards the quick draw pro because your review seems to show that it has a better coil with greater depth and I really like the volume control. Which one would you suggest?
Just picked up one of these. I can't wait to get out with my little guy and do some treasure hunting!
Best of luck out there!

Of all the detectors I’ve seen you review, I have to say that the Fisher F11 is by far the best value. That thing really impressed me for the price!!
It is very good for the price no doubt. I still have it actually.
@@thehuntergt man how much you want for it? 😂😂
I want another bounty hunter water proof I won't own any thing else Bounty Hunter has made me well pleased good job Bounty Hunter

yep me to I have 3 lol
That is one neat detector. That would be a great starter detector for the price. I'd buy this detector over an Ace 300 at that price, hands down.
Yeah in this price range $50 is everything. Not much the 300 can do that this cannot...that is for sure.
Wow! I’m picking this up for $75 m other detector went about 4 in. Tops
For that price...you might as well of stole it! Good job man!
Wow ur so lucky! Mine was $260!
That's the machine I'm rockin now. Actually won it from BH-Great guys & it's gettin me stuff!:)
Congrats on the win Dirk. Great machine and absolutely finds the stuff.

Out of all the detectors I think the bounty hunters have the best tones.
This help me make a. decition on what to buy now as a first detector
Glad to hear it Edward! It's a great detector for the price. It will absolutely find the coins.
great machine. same as digitek but with bigger coil and longer rod.
Yup...exact same menu and performance. Pretty good stuff for sub 200. Showed my son and he was even more thrilled to own the Digitek.
Another great video... Thanks HunterGT :)
Thanks Amber! More to come...live digs coming up finally too!
Can this detector be ground balanced
I was wanting a Garrett AT pro but what I know is half of owning a detector is knowing how to use it how it works

Is this detector water proof they say it is as well as a BH 2200
Kevin Hicks The coil and rod are...not the control box.

How does the Quick Draw Pro compare to the Minuteman?
Minuteman has faster recovery speed and is better in iron.
I am thinking about buying this detector. Is this still a decent buy in this price range or is there something better
They go for about $210...you can have a Simplex for $254 that is far superior. I am a dealer if you want to talk more. thehuntergt@gmail.com
@@thehuntergt have you done have a video review of the simplex one?
I've been seeing on other places on the internet where the quick draw pro has a backlight where you can see it in the dark mine doesn't is there anything I'm missing on how to turn it on or what's going on
QDP does not have a backlight. Any backlight would be added by the user in a homemade mod of some sort.
Is it worth keeping the iron setting on? Or would it be best to turn it off?
QDP does not have iron audio. You can disc or notch out the iron section - which is personal preference. I do - as I do not dig iron.
im new to this trying to decide wether i should buy this bh quickdraw pro or spend a the extra money on a land ranger pro
isaacshacky17 LRP is quite a bit better options wise and performance wise.

You can but coil options are very limited. I consider it a one coil machine myself.
Great video! Thanks for this information
Thanks for watching. My pleasure.
Great info, Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching Jerry!
Nice review! Its better than ETP?
Similar. This is better for coin shooting due to notching...ETP for relic hunting since is has iron audio.
Has anyone had trouble with this one detecting silver?
Not that I am aware of. I know of a guy that has found tons of silver with his. Location is everything.
If so how deep
Not waterproof...but will go 6 inches on a buried coin in most soils.

I much prefer the QDP over the Ace. Way better recovery speed - depth - separation. Not really a fan of the older Aces.
Thanks. I was leaning towards the QDP. That will be the one i will go with. But on the other hand, the Garrett might not have French on the box. :-)
unacceptable, repeat it all in french.
Je ne suis pas si sûr que les gens de TH-cam veulent entendre cela. Hehe
el detectero el mucho el goodo.
nailed it.
