A serial killer takes pleasure in the pain of other people and doesn't see it as a difference between wrong and right like normal people do. There have been studies into certain genes as being a possibility of what causes it. This has been brought up in a clever way in the show Riverdale. In general i can't stand the show but the story of the serial killer gene they went with was interesting even if the rest of the show was too stupid for words. Such as people having a blue or red halo around them to signify good or evil lol. If only hey :)

I think if we allow ‘minors’ to transition to the opposite sex, this will be the next step. I wouldn’t be surprised if these people are pushing for the kids to be able to legally transition.
You also have people who ‘identify’ as kids and are not sent to a psychiatrist/psychologist, they are allowed to feel it is acceptable in society. As soon as we ‘accept’ these things, the ‘MAPS’ stuff will be next. They are obviously trying to do that now, with these documentaries. Men who ‘identify’ as a woman and change in female changing rooms, where kids can be changing, especially pre-surgery, should not be allowed either.
Men should not be undressing, showing their ding dong, in front of kids, just because they say they ‘identify’ as a woman! I just feel it is all linked to the same group of people that are pushing to make all these things legal. I am sure, or hope, A LOT of the LGBTQI+ community would be against all this, but the problem is the activists who bully the ones with common sense. They are scared to stand up for their community, because of these activists.
They are still people, so why shouldn’t they have civil rights? I agree that child molestation is one of the worst crimes and the criminals should be punished harshly for that. However, not every pedophile is a child molester. And, even the worst of criminals deserve rights as they still are humans.

The practice of setting age limits in the modern times was a means to try to somewhat contain the devious life styles that were and are being promoted and allowed, but the question will now arise, if we now believe those lifestyles are so good then why try to contain them anymore. Indeed it brings up the question if these lifestyles are actually good at all. According to God they are not. I experienced being molested by a pedophile before I was old enough to remember so I already knew pedophiles were dark evil monsters by the time I entered kindergarten. I just sort of assumed all adult men were like that until my parents and several other people proved me otherwise.
Traumatic experiences affect folks differently. Today there is much more awareness and help.
Statistics actually aren't available to see how many develop an affinity for children, many don't offend, however I'd be curious to see the number of victims that struggle with sexual Urges towards children, of which they don't act on, identifying that and implementing more intervention methods for prevention, should be something we are moving to. Someone should not be punished for saying: "X happened to me, I now have feeling of Y towards children, I have not acted on them but I need help to control myself [identify medications, therapy, any form of rehabilitation]." Really needs to be how we look at this if we want to reduce the number of victims and therefore the number of pedophiles. .

Adults learn over time who they are from youth to growing up like they do with everything. I am gay and even I don't think the "kids being trans" or "teach gay things to kids" is normal. The parents should raise their kids their own way and schools shouldn't be able to teach anything extra to a child that isn't what they are learning in that specific class. People are more confused nowadays than ever before and the detransitioners are raising rapidly cause of all these kids thinking they're trans only to find out they aren't and want to "go back". Indoctrinating children is not ok.

To be fair i think transgenderism is valid. Gender dysphoria is a real thing. Being straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender is valid. Personally i think once people start getting into "queer" territory, that is when the slippery slope begins.
I don't even care if it was illegal or not. I know it's not technically pedophilia but at 19 I started dating a 33 year old. We got married and had a kid do in every legal and social definition I 'consented' but years later I see how this was grooming. I am in my late 30s now and think to myself. Would I date a 19 year old? Hell to the no. The clue is in the name 'teen'. So the idea of looking at a child sexually or suggesting the have the maturity or development to consent to anything? My god, I get a shiver down my spine.
If we get technical, a 19 years old is a teenager, so by every sense of the Word they should be protected too, age of mayority should be raise to 21, by that age most People should be better equipped to deal with most situations and take better decisions.
And is very likely that you were groomed.
And even I believe that a 10 year gap is the most you can stretch it, any more than that and you are dating someone that could be your Child.
@Mike just my controversial opinion. I'm not so bothered by the age of consent as a 14 year old with another 14 year old messing about or a 19 year old with another 19 -21 year old sleeping together is fine and shouldn't be criminalised. That said (the controversial bit) we know our brains are not fully developed until 25 years old. Therefore if your over 30 there's no way you should be looking at anyone under 25. There ought also to be string boundaries on age ranges/gaps between teens older and young adults to ensure everyone is at roughly the same stage in development during those crucial formative years to discourage exploitation. I'm not saying that should be in law necessarily but morally and developmentaly there is a big difference between say a 17 year old dating a 19 year old on one hand and a 18 year old with a 24 year old which in my view is pushing it.

Also, if I got an underage son or daughter then no one should touch him, be someone of age or another minor, because he is in my care so that should be respected, so I don't say send the other minor to jail, but some punishment is necessary, because socially we work different nowadays, in the times of my Grandma you maybe could get a job at 15 and have a child fine, but nowadays is not like that, the period of time in which we depend on our parents got extended, there is a reason age of mayority exist, so no, teenagers/minors should not have intimancy like is some kind of game, only when you are truly independent and if you have a child you didn't plan , you can take care of that baby.
About age gaps, I think that the biggest age gap where it could work is a 10 year age gap max, no more than that and if the male is older and is the man is looking a serious relationship, otherwise he is just taking advantage of the more inexperienced Woman. Raise age of mayority to 20, and let's say a 20 years with a 30 years old should be fine.
Also make age of consent, age of mayority, it makes no sense why that's separated.

"Safe sex" there is no such thing as that, all sexual activity comes with risks, and if you cannot take the consecuences (like for example raising a baby in case a pregnancy occurs) if a person cannot take the consecuences they just cannot do it. Also at their teens people see intimancy as a game.

What I really find disturbing is that local bond issues for funding local projects (like a new highway) around here are called "MAPS"... and one such program for raising money for schools is called "MAPS for Kids" and that now bothers me.

i think that depends a lot on the country you live in as total inaction by authorities if they were approached doesn't sound right at least not to my understanding. Where i am if you go to the police and say you were approached by someone then they look for that person and put out a danger warning for the area etc. They will even send text messages to areas they believe could be at risk and to be on the look out but not approach this person etc. It's a good way to catch people quickly but not put people in danger at the same time.

I go to Old Dominion where professor Walker was teaching. The university knew about the research she was conducting and apparently did not have any issues until there was public backlash. Make of that what you will, but I will tell you as a student at ODU the post modern social justice agenda has become overly prevalent. I like my department and most of my professors but I’m honestly looking forward to seeing what other schools are like . My cousin, was practically my best friend, he was a alcoholic.
One day he putted me in a situation where I ha to act against him because of that matter.
