The TH-cam algorithm has been showing me so much "slow living" content lately and I'm so grateful for it. I'm planning on doing a big move from suburban USA to rural New Zealand with my partner and getting a little cottage together. It's amazing to watch your process and your routine and be inspired. Very happy I've been shown your channel randomly on my recommendations page and I can't wait to see more of your journey.
I am really, really enjoying your videos. There is such a calming, cozy, comforting and safe feeling. You also make me want to be more present in my life. Thank you for posting 💕💕
That water bucket for the cuties is smart! My husband and I just got our first chicks three weeks ago. They’ve grown so much and this video makes me so excited for when I can have them in our yard to roam! Also, are you from Texas? In one of your videos I noticed you mentioned heading out to Bulverde so it was cool to hear that as a fellow Texan that grew up in San Antonio ☺️ I’m so glad I found your channel! I hope Texas feels like fall this year for you! 🍂🤍
Thank you!! & how exciting :) chickens are so fun to have. Especially when they start showing their personalities 😂 & Yes! I’m not originally from Texas, but I’ve been here for years! About 10 or so. Welcome to the channel! Glad you’re here :)
This was so relaxing! Do you have any tips or videos about picking a place to live in the “country”, and the pros and cons? I love growing my own veggies but I’d love to move someplace where I can have chickens; I’m just not sure where to start.
I’d say start small. It doesn’t have to be a lot of land and a lot of land use all at once. Just enough that you feel like you can do the things you want to do on it (garden, have animals, etc.) also consider convenience! How far out from the nearest grocery store, ER, your job, etc. can you be and how far out you actually want to be. Consider how much you actually enjoy driving if you choose to be further out. If you wfh or use a lot of wifi, consider the providers that service the area. Do you have good options, do they cover the amount of wifi power you need? Also another one that I didn’t really consider beforehand, grocery delivery! Haha. Do you have stores either nearby you can happily drive to weekly or do you have grocery stores that will deliver to you? And will they deliver for a reasonable price (it adds up if not), etc. etc. There’s so much more, but I ramble & I’m still learning, so I’ll leave you with all of this ^ haha 😅
Hi chi!! Love the vlog. I thought I was the only one that does that with ice in the water. My Paris (dog) checks for it before she drink lol when I fix her meals I give her fresh ice water 😊
This was so relaxing to watch. Did you have experience with gardening prior to moving to this house? I would love to start gardening but I don’t know where to start.
Yes & no, lol. I killed everything I attempted to grow the first time when I was living downtown and gardening on the balcony. This has been my 2nd year gardening and my 1st year being successful. & Start with the veggies you like to eat and that will grow well in your area and zone! :) You can search your zone online or use this site: www.almanac.com/gardening/planting-calendar to find your zone and what grows well and when you can plant.
What do you do for work? I'm a new follower and love your videos. So cozy and self sufficient. Your mom is so sweet too. I would love to know how you got to this point in your life and how you're able to keep it up. Do you work remote? Thanks girlie!
I work in marketing! & I’m hybrid :) & thank you!! She’s the best. I found a place outside the city and moved last year! The gardening and raising animals came after.
I would love to know how did you manage to accomplish my dream of living in the country! That's my dream but I think it's so impossible for me it's sad
I found a place outside the city and moved last year! Then just started with gardening, then the animals :) I googled and researched any information I didn’t know/wanted to learn more about when it came to “country living,” gardening and raising animals.

I just found your channel and I'm in love with it and with u. Love from italy
Relaxing video🪿🌳! In the background, it sounds like there are quite a few cars that pass by. Doesn't sound like the area is too country rural?
Not super country/rural, I’m still close enough to what I need. But not in the city or suburbs. I think outskirts is a better definition!
Loving your videos! You have a new subscriber :) Thanks for sharing

I would subscribe to you a million times over if I could
