    You should definitely check out FLASHING LIGHTS. This is Kanye west's masterpiece, nobody was ready for this track. The instrumental is forever my ringtone. Not to mention, diamond is forever, Jesus walks, touch the sky.

    Btw Chicago has southern energy because of the Great Migration. A lot of their grandparents from Alabama, and Mississippi/from the south brought that up there.

      Yep! My grandfather is from Mississippi. He moved to St. Louis in the 1940s with my grandmother, so we all (my dad, his siblings and all of my first cousins) live here. My grandfather's brother moved to Chicago around the same time and all of his offspring are still there. My grandmother's brother moved to Detroit during the same period, so that's where all of his offspring are.

      @@Ilovechicago100 You are correct. Depending on what Southern state you were from depended up what Northern city AAs migrated to because of the bus routes. People from Mississippi migrated to Chicago bc that is where that bus route took them to. Georgia or Alabama, South Carolina routes could take you to New York or Detroit depending on where you got on the bus from

    The reason a lot of peor sound like they're from the South is bc a few generations ago, a bunch of Black people left the deep South and moved North. Chicago was one of those places and they kept a lot of their connections, including some of that drawl.
    Anyway, the song is still 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and this was a great reaction!

      Word! I'm from Milwaukee, which is like 1 1/2 from Chicago and whenever, I go there, I can hear the various types of southern, accents all in one place. The only difference is that they have a Chicago, "twist" to them. Some of us from Milwaukee, have southern, accents but not as diverse as Chicago. Anyhow, the Midwest got love from the south, since our elders were from there.

    Chicago, Milwaukee, Cleveland, saint Louis all got southern drawls.... That's because many people from the south migrated to the Midwest in the seventies, eighties, and nineties. It's the reverse now, people moving back down south

    Miri Ben Ari is so fire, I remeber she came out with her album The hip hop violinist and every track was amazing!     RZA from Wu Tang Clan was using the high pitch samples since 1997 just check out the songs Triumph from Wu Tang Clan and The Unexplained by The Gravediggaz and you'll see what I mean. In fact Kanye West has said that RZA was a direct influence on his production style.
