I wanted to install a T-track for my new miter saw station, but didn't have a router, table saw, or circular saw to make the dado to insert the T-track. So I invented my own method that didn't require those tools. Enjoy! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Great idea , particularly due to the acacia 20mm I planned to use for my top board. I was concerned it would crack during routing, but as I’m installing 3 tracks it looks like I’m cutting my top into 6 pieces lol
Very resourceful! You're in good company.
A lot of carpenter and woodworkers do the same thing, either on the fly or to make an adjustable slot.
🙂
Genius! And obvious)))
That is very, very clever. Nice one
Glad you like it!
You sir are a genius! I'm looking to build my miter table because its the first power tool i bought, and i want to do the same with no tools! Thanks
So you cut the rest of the boards how? Karate chop?
Lol, I have a miter saw & Jig saw!
Nice idea...
Thanks a lot
why would you need a T slot if you don't have any tools?
Good question - I'll be using that t-track to install a stop block.
How about if I don't have extra plywood and extra money to make this idea?
You don't need plywood - you can use particle board under the top boards. You have to spend money on the top board anyway - that's not specific to this idea. 😜
That will fail very soon
Nah, going almost 2 years now and it still looks as good as new
@@twincivet9668 that’s good news, figured forsure that wouldn’t hold up
You probably could have bought an inexpensive router for what that waste of extra wood cost. Not impressed.
Thanks for the feedback, but what extra wood?
@@twincivet9668 all of these critics have no idea what they're talking about. You're smart. They still have a lot to learn
Rude.
