Damon seems to also have built the most meaningful relationships throughout the show. Even if he had a falling out with them at later times. His relationship with Alaric. His relationship with Jeremy also evolved. His relationship with Sheriff Forbes. With Enzo. With Bonnie. Elena. I can't think of people Stefan had a connection with in the ways that Damon did with everyone he came in contact with. Klaus, maybe? But not really. I don't even really see the chemistry with Caroline, tbh. What does that say about Damon that even though he was always believed to be the "bad" brother that he was still cared about by so many people. He's the common denominator so they obviously saw something in him. It's almost as if Stefan was "playing" good. He was always trying to convince himself that he was the righteous one. But he was really no different than Damon when it comes to sins. Damon was just more honest about it.
