Pettersson's answer to Jeff Paterson's question about the term is telling Canucks fans everything they need to know.
Well its pretty akward to talk about contracts when fans are overly aggressive and delusional. And Canucks didnt have enough capspace for both of them. Pettersson believes he can bet himself to get more. I don't blame the guy
He has said he wants to be there multiple times, but he has also said he wants to be on a winning team and if vancover aint it he wants to leave he has said so, and yes he probably believes he can get more money and guess what if he play's the way he can and has he can and will get paid more.
The thing is; have you seen THG´s video on the contrtact situation in VAN?
In three years a LOT of the big bad contracts run out so he can get paid then.. ;)

I always find it amusing when athletes call waiting around for their million dollar contracts 'stressful'. Especially when its their agents who are negotiating it. I would be delighted to negotiate a 30 million dollar contract for myself.
It’s stressful because they have people like you criticizing everything they say/do. They wanna be with their team and feel guilty being away. Of course it’s gonna stress you out

Everyone goes for market value, so do you. You're not going to offer your services to an employer and say I'll do it for cheap so you can hire more people. Vancouver pays them what they feel they are worth and looking around the league it seems about right which most experts seem to agree to.
Your a troll Pettersson is going to be most points under 8 million this season and getting Quinn for 6 years is a steal two years in.
Petey should’ve made at least 8 million, so the fact that we got him for less is a W. Hughes on the other hand if he keeps up with Makar in point production, that’s a steal as well imo. Hamilton makes 9 million and Jones makes 9.5 million those are both worse contracts then Hughes and Pettersson imo.
