I think that more goes to show that the entire team of writers and researchers at Game Theory are crazy, and Matt/Tom are just the top layer in the iceberg of crazy.
Fun fact I think is super interesting that you missed! In the book sampled, Julius Caeser, the main antagonist Brutus's main motivation is wanting to BE Caeser in a way. He believed he should have his title as king, and there's a song by the Buttress that uses a lot of monolog FROM the book which sums it up well: "This event will be history, and I'll be great too. I don't want what you have, I wanna be YOU."

I don't think he was quiet about it, in FNAF1 they believe they caught the murderer 9 (news paer), I bet it was Henry. And maybe he was falsely accused in the past, at the circus and maybe that's why they were so quick and sur it was Henry and not Willaim who could make up an alibi.
@@garethharriott9582 It is almost certain he works with it, to perpetuate the series he makes subtle retcons, reinforces observed patterns with new content that bridges the differences, using that framework to continue the narrative. It's quite genius. It's quite plausible that he also has a barebones framework for the narrative, and works in ideas from the community theories.
@@bige2867I feel like he’ll also add in elements to a game that could tie into something later on in the future but in the moment have no lore relevance whatsoever. The strange Paper Pal could be an example of that.
Steel Wool's booth at PAX features the Mimic in a design similar to the one we saw in the trailer. We saw more of its body, including three red buttons - just like the paper pal. The arms are orange/red and look lanky and tube-y like the paper strips, and the legs seemed to be blue just like the paper pal. Paired with blue around the eyes and a red nose, Tom might be right on the money.
Fun fact: in Into The Pit you can interact with the paper pals on the wall and when you do, a 4th one appears underneath the first 3 with red limbs. I don't think this entirely disproves Tom's theory, since this is a game about fazbear frights and the fact that those 3 in ITP have different designs from the game versions. For example: colours of the limbs, one is missing a bowtie, no hats or ears etc. Edit: First comment i wrote that got more than 2k likes... Neat!
The security puppet was made just to watch Charlie because Henry couldn't watch her while working, like how William used the Fredbear plush to keep track of CC
10:50 Pairing the mimic (a clown type character) with Freddy (a bear, commonly seen as one of the animals a circus can train) and Bonnie (a rabbit, commonly associated with magicians who tend to ALSO be a part of circus shows) actually makes a lot of sense to be completely honest. Even though she's an animal like the other two, Chica is the odd one out. How are CHICKENS associated with the carnival/circus? Edit: the exact same point goes for Foxy. Edit2: A fair is NOT the same as the circus. Chickens have NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CIRCUS. If we're going with a carnival though then I'll concede chickens make sense.
Well, if we are visiting a location from 79, Chica might not be part of the franchise yet. She originally had her own restaurant which merged with Fazbear later.

That line from Caesar feels more like it refers to Henry. It’s about how the good one does is forgotten while the bad remains. There’s not really anything you can point to about William that’s good. While Henry ultimately tries to help the spirits as best he can. I think the use of that line is more referring to Henry having built the Mimic, and how it’s gone on to do evil even after his death. The plot of the new game then involving William’s corruption of its programming, which would be the wound.
Not to mention it would be up to a group of heroes Gregory, Cassie, Vanessa, and perhaps someone new to stop the Mimic. I wouldn't be surprised if Gregory has an older brother who is a police officer and that both he and his brother are Henry's grandsons if the theory that Sammy Emily is the CEO and the Freddy bully from FNAF 4 turn out true.

I have a theory idea for you: Lancer is Sans. There's TONS of proof pointing towards this fact, so I'd love to see game theory's interpretation. Now i know Ness is Sans was hated, buuut Lancer being Sans does answer a lot of questions about Lancer.
If you look carefully, Freddy’s paper buddy has one button, Bonnie’s two buttons, and The Mimics three buttons. Maybe this could be a key indicator that Freddy was the first costume made, then they made a Bonnie costume, and then maybe they decided to take a different approach because maybe something went wrong with the first two costumes.

I’m calling it now; Ive called it before; steel wool is no longer tying up loose ends, but clarifying the beginnings of the story. Bonnie bro in Help wanted 2 & Ruin Mrs. Afton in help wanted and security breach William and Henry in Secret of the mimic. I predict this will be the origin, not only off fazbear entertainment, but also of William and Henry themselves.
Kinda makes you think about what can be done with FNAF now from a story standpoint now that The Mimic™ is the main antagonist of the franchise at least for now.
Also notice how the paper buddies have buttons, where Bonnie has one, Freddy has two, and mimic has three. Very small detail that doesn't help with anything, but still connects again to the rule of three.

The Puppet, Ennard, the paper buddy, and the mimic are all connected. Ennard is a clown, the paper buddy resembles a clown, and the puppet has the music box. The mimic is the first version of these characters as a whole.
They all sort of combine into the mimic too, Ennard copies behaviour and mimics voice, the Puppet protects the pizza place (And the Mimic does the same to the pizzaplex, luring what it sees as intruders to their deaths) and Paper Buddy is linked to kids, paper pals having been shown to be made by kids at various points, and the mimic in the books originally was a kid's toy. Not saying they are all the same or anything, just observing.

Because none of the funtimes looked like that, if it were a spare Foxy or Freddy suit we'd have seen their snouts, and Spring Bonnie and Fredbear's masks didn't smile quite like that

So we know that the Mimic was made to keep a kid company from the first story with it. It’s possible that was actually not Henry’s kid Charlie, but Henry’s kid, some other unknown first one. Henry falls into his robotics and then somewhat ignores his second child (which is why the puppet is watching her, not him) and he throws away the mimic he built which then starts seeing what Afton is doing and Henry’s rage and then becomes evil.
forgot to mention about the tons of clown drawings in pizzaria simulator, Souzones told it would be a clown animatronic that would be some what important to the fnaf lore way before the security breach ruin dlc
What’s interesting is that Adventure Fredbear has Mimic ball too, and given Henry is the one who wore the Yellow Bear suit, could that imply he was the one who made Mimic1?
In the beginning, the 1st game I saw the mimic in, I thought it was used as an extra exoskeleton in case the other exoskeleton broke or needed repairs, that this extra exoskeleton could "mimic" Freddy, Chica, etc. whenever needed. At least I was assuming that was it's main purpose at 1st. But, I'm just filling in my own head-lore lol
In Into the Pit, when you go to the past, instead of the Mimic paper pal, there's an expressionless blue limbed pal However, if you get close, you can interact with them and Oz places the Mimic one back on. You dont pick it up anywhere he just has it on him

The kid who knows nothing of Fazbears that has been drawing animatronics from the beginning...is the one who put the clown looking paper plate pal ontop of the plain one. Ozwald's character involving him knowing what should be impossible to know. For no explained reason. And he just had that pal on him. And Oz /can/ seemingly do things that change the past/future. @nou4410 unless we have it proven that the crying child's name is Cassidy, that is not happening. Even if The crying child's name is proven as Cassidy we would need to prove Fazbear Frights is in the same timeline as the games. We know from recent interviews that Security Breach was not the story it was intended to be and that tales of the Pizza plex and more recent game releases have been an attempt to course correct. Into the pit being the same timeline as the other games is also questionable but easier to support as it is an actual game, but there were significant changes done between the book and game which could be used to say that even if it was found to be in the game timeline that the other books as written are not. We need to see how more projects are going to pan out in the future to figure out what is still relevant from Security Breach and if the previous book series are just a different timeline (like the silver eyes) or direct 1 to 1 telling of events in the games timeline.
No it can’t be. Why would Afton start killing in 1970 that’s such a stretch. The mimic is a completely new villian that has nothing to do with Afton at all. Afton’s story ended in UCN. I think this game is gonna only be abt the mimic who made it and why it was made not abt William anymore
@EmotianalBrat while you're right, this game is meant to be a prequel, not a sequel so it would take place before UCN. However, what this game might do is confuse the timeline yet again
Fnaf 1-6 was about Afton, his family and his victims, and it ended in fnaf 6. Everything after that is a seperate era, new victims and villains and technology
Theory about the wound first inflicted. Henry’s wife. Now hear me out. It had to hold significance for Henry to be affected. Maybe she was killed in an accident that easily could have been avoided. An accident caused by William’s negligence or done purposefully. Maybe it was William attempting to get Henry to leave, to force him out via grief only for a few years later, William’s son dying in the bite caused by none of Henry’s designs being properly removed from the animatronics to cut costs.
Heres a theory: if we're going back to that line, Henry spoke in pizzeria sim. "A wound first inflicted on me" then it wouldn't make sense for him to be referring to some random kid, this line feels personal, but if hes not referring to charlie then who? In the games theres no evidence of Henry having any family other than charlie but in the books-the silver eyes trilogy specifically-its stated that charlie has a brother named Sammy and a plot point of those books was that robo-charlie had false memories of Sammy being taken by Afton, perhaps these false memories in the books could be the wound inflicted upon Henry that he let bleed out into the missing children's incident and eventually, Charlie's death. But thats just a theory, thanks for reading.
Two issues: 1) Sammy was the core the big reveal for the series, but that was about it. I feel like he would've been given more references and roles if he wasn't anything more than a McGuffin. 2) We have no other references to another Emily(?) kid in the games. I would think that, if this were the case, there would be more references to there being two. Perhaps two spirits gui-WAIT In the FNaF2/3 minigames we see two spirits leading the other MCI kids around: the Puppet giving them life and Shadow Freddy leading them to Afton. What if the other Golden Freddy spirit is Cassidy, Charlie's sibling! The death occuring so early in the timeline could explain why Golden Freddy is so faint and ethereal! ...But if I wanted to hint at that, I would've made the connection between the two characters stronger and not ABSOLUTELY HAMMERED in the fact that Chica "was the first" and saw "everything", so I doubt that is the case. It was a good thought while it lasted...
there are multiple instances where we can refer that line, thats its nature. it was smartly constructed to elude to something but we may not be given the complete picture to insert it in the right place.
I still think it’s his daughter. I mean really think abt it. What else could it possibly be. I think the fnaf fandom has literally just over complicated things for everyone making us believe stuff like the paperpal are important. We don’t really see Sammy a lot so that’s why I feel he just doesn’t exist in the game. Also after Henry’s line he then goes on too mention his daughter and how he’s sorry for what he did to her. It's part of the reason why I was encouraging Mat and now for Tom to look closer at the Official FNAF Coloring and How To Draw books. Also Charlie being last to unalive makes sense, because Chica’s grave is lit first, and Chica says in fnaf 2, “I was the first, I have seen everything.”
Scott’s attention to detail throughout the games is extraordinary. The fact he had the whole lore and plan for the series mapped out from fnaf 2 is just so crazy to think about.
If Afton is Brutus and Henry is Marc Antony, who is Julius Caesar? What if Afton’s first victim wasn’t a child but whatever performer originally played the clown that became the mimic. Often the whiteface clown is the most hated. The other two are considered the funniest/most popular. They may even have been the person technically in charge of the circus if they were the Julius Caesar character.
18:03 I feel as this also relates to one of candy cadet's stories, more specifically the one with the snake and the kittens, if Henry really saw something and thought William would change or at least wouldn't do it again it feels like the man thinking the snake would get satisfied with just 1 kitten but ends up getting hungry for more.
The Mimic Clown is the one we’re in when we get scooped. Look at the clown mask in the Sister Location office. The face opens all the way just like the mask we’re wearing in the scoop room.
Theory, the kid is Sammy, you know, from the novels, they can use this information from the books that was never used, and would make total sense, a "wound first inflicted on me" refers to the killing of Sammy, and "wound that I let bleed" also makes total sense because of what you said on the video
The Shakespeare quote in the tweet is referencing the mimic itself. Mark Antony is essentially saying "Although Brutus had good intentions, all that will be remembered is the betrayal, the evil." The Mimic was created with good intentions, but now can only mimic the memory of evil.
You're interpretation of Henry's line refering to 1979 has me intrested and might change my thoughts on the graves in Help Wanted 2 if we get more evidence. I always thought the following: We know that Charlie has to die before the MCI because of Henry's line. So why is she last? It's not the death order, it's the put at rest order. We see in Happiest Day that Charlie's mask is the last to go down, implying she doesn't rest till after the others do first. Or at least that's an interpretation of it. We know from UCN that the Puppet is still "very aware". Implying that along with the Vengeful Spirit aka Golden Freddy, she is still around. However, if and when the Vengeful Spirit does rest like Old Man Consequences suggest. So too then Charlie will finally rest after them.

@@yayvids Tbf, graves very much do represent death. It's the easiest conclusion to make, afaik almost every theorist thought that the graves were the death order as well when it was first shown.

Stepping in for Matt after all these years of FNAF has to be a daunting task but I’m happy to say that I still jump at every single FNAF theory that gets released by this channel. Content is still just as entertaining and informative. Such a seamless transition doesn’t get praised enough

I came here after the reveal of the design at pax and this video might be right, they have the red nose, the blue around the eyes, the red-ish orange arms, the 3 red buttons, and even if it has no legs it still is blue where the legs are cut off. Tldr: the paper pal does look a lot like this new character
I really like this theory but in the middle I was a little skeptical. I think the reason the paper plate gang has the “mimic ball” ability has less to do with the third character (who I admit is a weird choice) but more the group in general, they are copies of the characters made with the intent of looking like or “mimicking” the original designs. However with all that said, I loved the part about the clowns.
My guess about why the paperpals is only freddy bonnie and mimic is because when freadbears diner was first created.There was fredbear,springbonnie,and one more the mimic. Now the mimic was like foxy he had his own little area where he can preform and entertain he was in his clown form. After the bite of 83 fredbears shut down golden freddy became worn down spring bonnie became withered and mimic he also got worn down the company took him apart and thats where he looks like an endo. After this fnaf two was open and in buisness. But this is when things get critical puppet is introduced and the same jack in the box is introduced and they scraped mimic and made puppet. Steel Wool's booth at PAX features the Mimic in a design similar to the one we saw in the trailer. We saw more of its body, including three red buttons - just like the paper pal. The arms are orange/red and look lanky and tube-y like the paper strips, and the legs seemed to be blue just like the paper pal. Paired with blue around the eyes and a red nose, Tom might be right on the money.
I was late to this video and had seen the clown/mimic at Pax first too and was like "he doesn't even know how spot on he was!"
Fun fact: in Into The Pit you can interact with the paper pals on the wall and when you do, a 4th one appears underneath the first 3 with red limbs. I don't think this entirely disproves Tom's theory, since this is a game about fazbear frights and the fact that those 3 in ITP have different designs from the game versions. For example: colours of the limbs, one is missing a bowtie, no hats or ears etc.

That line from Caesar feels more like it refers to Henry. It’s about how the good one does is forgotten while the bad remains. There’s not really anything you can point to about William that’s good. While Henry ultimately tries to help the spirits as best he can. I think the use of that line is more referring to Henry having built the Mimic, and how it’s gone on to do evil even after his death. The plot of the new game then involving William’s corruption of its programming, which would be the wound.
Not to mention it would be up to a group of heroes Gregory, Cassie, Vanessa, and perhaps someone new to stop the Mimic. I wouldn't be surprised if Gregory has an older brother who is a police officer and that both he and his brother are Henry's grandsons if the theory that Sammy Emily is the CEO and the Freddy bully from FNAF 4 turn out true.

If you look carefully, Freddy’s paper buddy has one button, Bonnie’s two buttons, and The Mimics three buttons. Maybe this could be a key indicator that Freddy was the first costume made, then they made a Bonnie costume, and then maybe they decided to take a different approach because maybe something went wrong with the first two costumes.

The Puppet, Ennard, the paper buddy, and the mimic are all connected. Ennard is a clown, the paper buddy resembles a clown, and the puppet has the music box. The mimic is the first version of these characters as a whole.
They all sort of combine into the mimic too, Ennard copies behaviour and mimics voice, the Puppet protects the pizza place (And the Mimic does the same to the pizzaplex, luring what it sees as intruders to their deaths) and Paper Buddy is linked to kids, paper pals having been shown to be made by kids at various points, and the mimic in the books originally was a kid's toy. Not saying they are all the same or anything, just observing.

So we know that the Mimic was made to keep a kid company from the first story with it. It’s possible that was actually not Henry’s kid Charlie, but Henry’s kid, some other unknown first one. Henry falls into his robotics and then somewhat ignores his second child (which is why the puppet is watching her, not him) and he throws away the mimic he built which then starts seeing what Afton is doing and Henry’s rage and then becomes evil.

Even if The crying child's name is proven as Cassidy we would need to prove Fazbear Frights is in the same timeline as the games. We know from recent interviews that Security Breach was not the story it was intended to be and that tales of the Pizza plex and more recent game releases have been an attempt to course correct. Into the pit being the same timeline as the other games is also questionable but easier to support as it is an actual game, but there were significant changes done between the book and game which could be used to say that even if it was found to be in the game timeline that the other books as written are not.
We need to see how more projects are going to pan out in the future to figure out what is still relevant from Security Breach and if the previous book series are just a different timeline (like the silver eyes) or direct 1 to 1 telling of events in the games timeline.
No it can’t be. Why would Afton start killing in 1970 that’s such a stretch. The mimic is a completely new villian that has nothing to do with Afton at all. Afton’s story ended in UCN. I think this game is gonna only be abt the mimic who made it and why it was made not abt William anymore

Fnaf 1-6 was about Afton, his family and his victims, and it ended in fnaf 6. Everything after that is a seperate era, new victims and villains and technology
Theory about the wound first inflicted. Henry’s wife. Now hear me out. It had to hold significance for Henry to be affected. Maybe she was killed in an accident that easily could have been avoided. An accident caused by William’s negligence or done purposefully. Maybe it was William attempting to get Henry to leave, to force him out via grief only for a few years later, William’s son dying in the bite caused by none of Henry’s designs being properly removed from the animatronics to cut costs.

"A wound first inflicted on me" then it wouldn't make sense for him to be referring to some random kid, this line feels personal, but if hes not referring to charlie then who? In the games theres no evidence of Henry having any family other than charlie but in the books-the silver eyes trilogy specifically-its stated that charlie has a brother named Sammy and a plot point of those books was that robo-charlie had false memories of Sammy being taken by Afton, perhaps these false memories in the books could be the wound inflicted upon Henry that he let bleed out into the missing children's incident and eventually, Charlie's death. But thats just a theory, thanks for reading.

Two issues:
1) Sammy was the core the big reveal for the series, but that was about it. I feel like he would've been given more references and roles if he wasn't anything more than a McGuffin.
2) We have no other references to another Emily(?) kid in the games. I would think that, if this were the case, there would be more references to there being two. Perhaps two spirits gui-WAIT
In the FNaF2/3 minigames we see two spirits leading the other MCI kids around: the Puppet giving them life and Shadow Freddy leading them to Afton. What if the other Golden Freddy spirit is Cassidy, Charlie's sibling! The death occuring so early in the timeline could explain why Golden Freddy is so faint and ethereal!
...But if I wanted to hint at that, I would've made the connection between the two characters stronger and not ABSOLUTELY HAMMERED in the fact that Chica "was the first" and saw "everything", so I doubt that is the case. It was a good thought while it lasted...

Scott’s attention to detail throughout the games is extraordinary. The fact he had the whole lore and plan for the series mapped out from fnaf 2 is just so crazy to think about.
If Afton is Brutus and Henry is Marc Antony, who is Julius Caesar? What if Afton’s first victim wasn’t a child but whatever performer originally played the clown that became the mimic. Often the whiteface clown is the most hated. The other two are considered the funniest/most popular. They may even have been the person technically in charge of the circus if they were the Julius Caesar character.

I always thought the following:
We know that Charlie has to die before the MCI because of Henry's line. So why is she last? It's not the death order, it's the put at rest order.
We see in Happiest Day that Charlie's mask is the last to go down, implying she doesn't rest till after the others do first. Or at least that's an interpretation of it. We know from UCN that the Puppet is still "very aware". Implying that along with the Vengeful Spirit aka Golden Freddy, she is still around. However, if and when the Vengeful Spirit does rest like Old Man Consequences suggest. So too then Charlie will finally rest after them.

@@yayvids Tbf, graves very much do represent death. It's the easiest conclusion to make, afaik almost every theorist thought that the graves were the death order as well when it was first shown.

I really like this theory but in the middle I was a little skeptical. I think the reason the paper plate gang has the “mimic ball” ability has less to do with the third character (who I admit is a weird choice) but more the group in general, they are copies of the characters made with the intent of looking like or “mimicking” the original designs. However with all that said, I loved the part about the clowns.

My guess about why the paperpals is only freddy bonnie and mimic is because when freadbears diner was first created.There was fredbear,springbonnie,and one more the mimic.
